Poptropica’s spin-off Roblox games studio, Suit Up Games, just dropped a new Roblox game: City Slam Survival. Alas, it has nothing to do with Poptropica, save for one freebie you can get: a cubic Dr. Hare pet.
Code: HareDocDr. Hare pet in City Slam SurvivalThanks to Dizzy Feather for the tip!
To get this pink bunny block following you around on Roblox, click on the backpack button inside the game and go to Pets. From there, enter the promo code as shown on a Home Island billboard โ HareDoc (case sensitive, so only capitalize the H and D) โ to get your li’l Dr. Hare. ๐ฐ
As an ad for Lunchables 100% Juice, City Slam Survival is seeing much more impressive stats (25K+ visits so far) than Poptropica’s previous Roblox releases. The game’s premise is simple: smash to collect, collect to build, and build to survive. It’s quite the swerve from typical Pop…
While Dr. Hare is out getting his brand deal on another platform, another character isn’t so lucky. PHC user Fearless Star noticed that in the current PoptropiCon Island, Ep. 2, a poster was quietly removed.
The banner in the in-game convention center featured a superhero called “Proto-13” who resembled the manga character Astro Boy. We guess it might have been taken down due to copyright concerns, despite all the parodies on the island. Welp, RIP Proto-13 ๐
Proto-13 poster in PoptropiCon…no more
Despite the loss of one art piece, there’s plenty more to be admired on Poptropica’s Instagram stories. Here are their latest fan art features:
Don’t forget, the Holly Jolly Holiday Design Contest is open until November 16! Try your hand at designing the next batch of member gifts for winter โ you might win your own idea made into the game. ๐
Inside Adventure Outfitters, the shop floor is now offering some distinctly underwater inspired costumes and sea creature clubhouse props! Though the Pop Creators haven’t mentioned anything yet, we can’t help but wonder if this is a hint for Mission Atlantis Island, which had its first episode re-released on Haxe (desktop and mobile) for members the last time some of these items were in the store. One year on, is the island finally going to open to non-members?
Thanks to Dizzy Feather for the tip!
Enjoy the latest fan art features from Poptropica’s Instagram stories, collected over the past couple of weeks. We’ve got OCs galore, a few memes, and even a sketch of the scary Red Queen!
Hey Poptropican heroes โ the limited time special eventZomberry Hero is back with a similar dose of infected zombies to cure!
To get started with this mini-game inspired by the classic Zomberry Island, talk to the school bus driver on Home Island or find its map icon.
Almost exactly like the version that debuted in 2020, your task is to search for zombies among the dark cityscapes and blast them with your gun filled with pineapple slime antidote to rid them of their disease. But if you get too close, your fear meter will go up โ too high and you’ll have to restart the level. After three levels, you’ll win 1,000 credits!
To see how it’s done, check out this official playthrough video or our Zomberry Hero Guide from when the game first released. When in Poptropica, Covid’s got nothing on tainted blueberries!
While the latest Zomberry outbreak appears pretty similar to the previous, PHB reader Silver Horse noticed that some of the infected Poptropicans from the original game in 2020 are merely scene assets in 2022, making the game much easier with fewer actual zombies this time around. Some characters were also switched up, with new additions like Burt Diamond and Black Widow replacing others like Shark Boy. And as Dizzy Feather notes, some NPCs have had their dialogue cut.
Shark BoyBurt DiamondBlack Widow
Despite the two years that have elapsed since the first Zomberry Hero event, which promised a sequel, no new levels were added. Once again, upon completion, players will simply see “To be continued…”
Besides the return of this special event, we’ve got a few spooky season shindigs here on the PHB too: be sure to enter ourย Halloween costume contestย and make some art forย Community Creationsย andย Poptober.
๐งโโ๏ธ Now go be a Zomberry Hero! ๐งโโ๏ธ
Red October is upon us! Board the Baron’s airship unless you want the Queen of Fairytale Island herself on your case — ahem, if you’d like to partake in some Halloween shopping. You know, casual.
That’s right. The infamous Red Queen, the very one mentioned time and again throughout this Fairytale Island extended story, has arrived at last, guarded by dark knights and cats. And she’s on a mission!
She woke up and chose violence.
Things aren’t looking too good for the green weasel in question. Rumpelstiltskin escaped the airship before the Queen arrived โ possibly taking the Baron and her faithful monkey Ack with him, but neither of their whereabouts are known. No Baron’s Crusade this time!
There’s also an interesting bit of dialogue from the Queen that mentions Astro Knights. Could this beloved lost island be reentering the plot?
In response to our question, “Where are you returning from?”Who’s gonna tell her that we players and the King freed Rumpel ๐ฌ
With these new revelations, we’re left with more questions than before. What are the 7 systems the Red Queen speaks of conquering? How exactly does she plan to defeat Rumpel with that hammer (and do we want to know)? Where’s Rumpel hiding? Is the Queen planning to save her daughter the Baron, or is she after Rumpel for personal gain alone?
It also makes us wonder if Rumpel may not have been Fairytale’s true villain all along. With the introduction of the Red Queen, he’s no longer a menacing shapeshifter but a victim on the run. Will we as the player end up helping him? Whose side are we on?
On a lighter note, the Baron’s absence isn’t hindering her shop’s success: as announced, six new fan-made costumes (one designed by yours truly) are now available in-game for free! Personally, I’m pleased with how my “Jellyfish” was interpreted. The other five look fabulous as well!
You might find these pieces useful for your entry in the PHB’s Halloween costume contest, which is open till October 29. Besides the Red Queen and green fiend, don’t forget to pop in a bit of blue as well. Good luck!
Besides the costumes, you can also pick up two styles of jack-o-lanterns for 50 credits each, and a Rumpel-ized Baron Plushie for 200.
By the way, while Ack is nowhere to be seen, you can still earn credits by playing the Clear the Skies mini-game on the airship, which has been refreshed with a new skin to match the Red October mood!
Meanwhile, Amelia is no longer dangling under the clutches of Baronstiltskin, but back down on Home Island operating an autumnal sale of her own. She makes no mention of what she went through, but you can pop by Adventure Outfitters for hoodies and Halloween decor!
Whew! It’s certainly been an eventful day. There are many different directions the story of the royal family could take, all of them equally intriguing. I’d love to read your thoughts and theories โ drop ’em in the comments below! Happy Red October, everyone. ๐
The Queen’s Batman-like cats are watching…

Thanks to Dizzy Feather for contributing to this post.
Hello once again everyone! Spotted Dragon here bringing you the September recap for Community Creations. September’s theme was Survival, so be sure to check out all the featured artists!
How to Survive Off Path in the Dark Woods of Fairytale Islandby Dizzy Feather (Little Pear)
To kick things off, we have a super unique submission! It presents a mixture of art and literature, which really brings the handbook-style short story to life. There is a lot of creative lore included that shows great attention to detail and imagination, expanding on what Fairytale Island (not Survival Island, but still clearly survival themed!) already gives us. Love the layout! Find her in the comments and on the PHC Discord.
Survival by Megan123456
Taking a step away from sepia, this submission has such beautiful, bright colors! It makes for quite the eye-catching scene and creates wonderful atmosphere in the environment. This is especially reinforced with the snow and flame texture. The effect also interestingly contrasts the freezing cold of the forest with the intense warmth of the fire, which is definitely reminiscent of Survival Island. Find her in the comments and on the PHC Discord.
Survivor Island – The Greatest Game by krazytalez
Here we have another bit of sequential work, this one featuring Silly Chicken’s time on Survival Island. An adventureโwith both the excitement and the fearโI’m sure all of our Poptropicans remember! I enjoy seeing these little snapshots into different parts of the episodic quest in this format. The night vision adds an especially cool effect! Find their Instagram here, where you can find more from this comic series.
Survival Island by Doubletheblame
Another great snapshot of Survival Island, this design really captures that feeling of uncertainty when experiencing the story. There is a simultaneous atmosphere of total isolation and constant sense of being watched. It’s especially intriguing to see Myron’s point of view in this side-by-side! The layout of the camera and the reverse shot of the villain comes across as quite cinematic. Find her DeviantArt here.
Myron Animationย by tillymeowjings-arsb
Though sans-mustache, this reanimation of an earlier post shows great personalityโand amazing artistic growth! Lip-syncing is a challenging skill to master on top of drawing in general. And this short little video came out so smooth! I really enjoy the style of the character and the adorable facial expressions, all paired so some fantastic audio. Find her Tumblr here.

Looks like we not only survived this month but thrived this month, guys. ๐ช These creations were to die for, as always!
October: How Do I Participate?
Community Creations is a cool series for anyone in the Poptropica community to join in on. To sum up what itโs about, itโs basically a chance to show off your artwork, creepy fan-fics, Pop clubhouses, costumes, and anything else that pops into your mind.
If we really like the piece you submit, we will feature it here on the PHB! As long as it relates to that monthโs theme. So what is October’s theme? October’s theme isโฆ
๐๐๐ข Feeling Blue! ๐ข๐๐
According to the Pop Creators, Poptropica isn’t just blue… it’s cerulean. But hey, there are plenty of cool shades of blue out there, so why stick to just the one? Still, I hope all the other colors aren’t green with envy.
For this set of creations, anything blue goes. That means the color and the feeling! If you draw me a picture, I wanna see everything from cobalt to navy, to sky and baby! If you write me a short story, I better feel all the feels and start tearing up by the end.
Though I exaggerate a bit, you get the idea. Think about all your favorite Poptropicans with blue outfits, or all your favorite blue background art. Think about the saddest moments from each island, and all that blue ocean our characters have to traverse. And be sure to keep an eye out for our annual Halloween Costume Contest this month as well!
Submit: Comment below with a link to whatever youโve created, email it to the PHB team on our Contact page, OR share it with me (SydVC aka Spotted Dragon) on DeviantArt, Twitter, Tumblr, or Discord.
Results: Next month, I will feature 5 submissions that stood out to me the most as well as some honorable mentions.
Limitations: Just make sure you relate to both the theme and Poptropica (and nothing NSFW or otherwise inappropriate).
Due Date: I will take any entries before the end of this month. Submit as many things as youโd like!
I will be sure to let you know I have seen your creation. While quality counts, Iโm mainly looking for something to simply catch my eye, so donโt be afraid to join in!
So what are you waiting for? Go make something awesome!
