Plot twist: I’m alive! 😉 Bet you weren’t expecting that one.

So, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has only been released for just over a day, and so many Poptropicans have already rushed through the gates, waving your Golden Ticket around yelling “I’M IN! I’M IN!”

Or at least most of you did. Some of you only yelled “I’M IN!” once.

Either way, whether you’re in or out, there are some who are undeniably quick and zip through islands. It requires speed, strength, knowledge, and a bag of candy.

Without further ado, let us congratulate those who stayed golden throughout the whole island and finished it the quickest! Put your hands together (even if they’re covered in chocolate) for…

… for Early Access! That’s right, as of yesterday, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is now available for members, and nonmembers can now play the demo! Also, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will open to the public on December 6th, the same day the members-only Oompa-Loompa costume will disappear from the Poptropica Store…

In honor of CatCF, once again, the home page has a few visitors!

The interesting thing about this home screen change is that Willy Wonka stops for a second to do a little dance before continuing running to the right.

Anyways, there’s no guide yet, but there will be one as soon as possible! 😉 Also, today, the trailer for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was released (although it’s technically not a “trailer” if it is released AFTER the island came out… let’s just call it a video)

Willy Gold Cards

Today, the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory members golden tickets, erm, golden cards have arrived in the Poptropica Store- the Everlasting Gobstopper, the Oompa-Loompa power, and the Oompa-Loompa costume! 😀

Just seeing the gold makes me anxious… anyways, here’s a look at what the items do…

The Everlasting Gobstopper is a power similar to the bubble gum- your Poptropican’s mouth does the same chewing motion, and every once in a while, a random fruit will appear over your head, probably indicating the flavor of the gobstopper you are currently on. There’s watermelon, lemon, blueberry, and cherry

Moving right along, there’s the Oompa-Loompa Power. If you click on it, a little Oompa-Loompa will come to you and give you a peppermint candy to hold! Perfect for confidence and energy boosts!

Finally, my personal candy ~~slave~~ giver! And speaking of those Oompa-Loompas, you can dress up as one, too!

As usual, the release of these golden tickets…er… gold cards (Why do I keep saying that???) hint to us that the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Island release day is not too far away!

There’s some new additions to the Poptropica map! Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Island is now listed as coming soon, and Skullduggery Island was pushed to the front page to advertise its upcoming book.

Strangely though, Astro-Knights Island doesn’t have that as well, even though it’s also getting its own novel.

Halloween may be over, but there’s still a treat in store. Literally. Maybe wearing a giant chocolate bar costume will put you in the mood for the upcoming Charlie & the Chocolate Factory island. Get the Candy Bar in the Store, 75 credits or free for members! 😀 (Thanks, Mad Tornado.)

First of all, that island everybody’s been talking about, Super Villain Island, is now available to the public! If you are stuck while exploring the dark minds of four of Poptropica’s most devious foes, feel free to use our Super Villain Island Guide here.

In other news, the information page for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is now up! Here’s what the island description reads:

After years of silence, Willy Wonka’s magical chocolate factory is re-opening, and you’ve got a Golden Ticket. But when a group of misbehaving kids threaten to destroy Wonka’s candy creations, he needs you to save the day. Prepare to untangle a confectionary conundrum that’s full of sweet treats and sticky situations!

So… from the sounds of things, there are going to be SIX golden tickets instead of the usual five. Us, plus Charlie Bucket, Augustus Gloop, Veruca Salt, Violet Beauregard, and Mike Teevee. I’m eager to find out what will happen. But as of right now…

There’s no knowing where we’re going!
