Even better, look what the Creators of Poptropica are planning:

Blog Post Title: New outfits and more – Coming Soon!
Description: We are busy creating tons of cool stuff for Poptropica, and here are two new outfits you’ll soon be able to purchase in the Poptropica Store!
Image URL: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_gw_QYz_mHpo/SkObQVT8cvI/AAAAAAAAAPE/Og2jKMm6Xd0/s1600-h/newChars.png

Note that the post’s title says “new outfits and more“. What could the “more” be? Many of you who have been commenting on our Cheat Codes page may have an idea! A lot of you have helped in discovering that the Creators may be working on a party room. Take a look at this leaked item SWF:

http://static.poptropica.com/items/item3024.swf

The stars in the background suggest that it is an item you will be able to purchase at the Poptropica Store. The description says, “Create a party room and connect with your friends to chat or play games!” Underneath that is a button that says “Connect”. It seems that if you click Connect, you would be teleported to your own party room which you can create. You might even be able to choose which Poptropicans you want to play with, and there may or may not be a maximum amount of players for each room. From the description, it seems that party rooms will be very similar to multiplayer rooms.

The image on the item card is very much like a previous sneak peek thought to belong to Astro-Knights Island, but turned out that we were wrong about. Also, since this feature obviously sounds really awesome, it’ll probably cost a lot of Poptropica Credits. So if you’re thinking of getting one, better save up! 😛

Reality TV Island, Sneak Peeks

This ain’t food!

🙂 Poptropica Help Blog currently has over 1,335,000, or 1.3 millionhits! 🙂

…Sadly, the seagulls don’t want to share their eggs with us. Oh well, I guess we’ll just have some bird-shaped cookies instead! Tweet tweet!

The story below is a sequel chapter to the “Hot Under the Collar” chapter from a previous post on the PHB. Please note that the story below is a work of fiction; written by the PHB Team to entertain its readers. Enjoy!

The Old but New Adventures of Comic Kid
Ned Noodlehead by day, Comic Kid hero by night.

Chapter 4
Soaring High

It took all night, but Comic Kid finally made it to the other end of the volcanic tunnel. He’d had to jump on each chunck of nearby rock, careful not to fall into the deadly lava of the underground. Along the way he kept having strange feelings about where he was, but had managed to shake it off. Comic Kid hadn’t had any sleep that night, having spent the whole time crawling through danger, and was extremely relieved when a huge ray of sunlight beamed on his face. Not only was it already daytime, but that also meant that the exit was close by!

A few minutes later, Ned Noodlehead (Comic Kid’s daytime form) emerged from the long “hole”. In front of him was a group of hills, which seemed to glow radiantly, seemed to say to him, Explore. Ned had never been to this area before, and thought it rather strange but pleasant. However, he was rather tired from the previous night’s adventure and decided to take a nap under the shade of a palm tree.

An hour later, he woke up feeling hungrier than ever. Gah, where’s a hot dog when I need one?, growled his stomach. But of course, Ned’s love for exploration drove him to the hills. He thought that some hiking might make him feel better, and it certainly did! (You see, taking a walk is healthy for your body. In case you’ve been sitting at your computer all day, this is for you: Get up and exercise!)

On his hike, he met several little creatures, including a cute and friendly armadillo. “I like to go out hiking when summer chills the air!” sang Ned, remembering one of his favorite hiking songs. While climbing the hills he’d also managed to find similar berries to the ones he’d eaten in a jungle before. His stomach became satisfied for a time.

Less than an hour later, Ned Noodlehead had reached as far as he could up the top and sniffed the air in delight. “Is that eggs I smell?” the kid wondered. He stepped closer and was able to confirm what he’d just smelled. Seagull’s eggs! Atop a large rock there lay a nest with two little eggs inside. Unfortunately for Ned, though, the eggs’ owner – a white seagull with a long yellow beak – immediately appeared, guarding the nest. She had been soaring high in the sky, but swooped down to stand next to her nest upon seeing Ned. Now she glared at him as a warning not to even bother taking the precious eggs. Ned shrugged and decided to head back down to find something else for his lunch.

Blog Post Title: Soaring High
Description: Last week I went for a hike into the hills of a strange island, and this is what I saw. I was so hungry from my travels and the eggs looked so good, but I didn’t think the seagull would like it if I “borrowed” an egg for my lunch!

Hungry for eggs? Don’t worry, there’s sure to be some chicken eggs for sale at your local supermarket. But that’s not what Ned Noodlehead wanted, was it? 😛

Vlad the Viking makes his first trip to the kingdom of Arturus… a.k.a. Astro-Knights Island. It’s not always safe there, as he was able to find out today. Read on for his tale:

A visit to Arturus was a chance of a lifetime, and I had been waiting MONTHS for this! It was going to be grand, taking a trip to the famed castle, and visiting the small museum dedicated to Mordred, the infamous scientist!

When I had finally taken my first steps into Arturus, a great rumble filled the air and the ground shook. It soon became apparent that a great battle had begun at the castle, and all I had was my trusty camera! I am no coward (well, not a coward all of the time), but I couldn’t fight these flying ships without a sturdy axe, and I just had my hair re-braided, and… well… I just couldn’t jump into the fray.

A laser blast exploded near my feet, and I was thrown back through the doorway of the nearby Crop Circle Inn. This was just getting to be too much! My freshly braided hair was still intact, but my favorite boots were practically ruined from the searing heat of the barrage!

With the sounds of battle still ringing outside, I decided to hunker down in safety with the other Poptropican’s that apparently had the same idea as myself. One Poptropican in particular caught my attention. His name is Young Bug, and he was a Ninja! I definitely didn’t feel cowardly knowing that even a Ninja equipped with nunchaku wasn’t too fond of entering battle against flying machines with laser guns!

Congratulations Young Bug, you have just been featured in Snapshot Sagas!

Be safe while rescuing Arturus from danger, and watch for me as you travel throughout Poptropica!

Fellow customers, if you are thinking of purchasing the ninja costume from the Poptropica Store, Young Bug definitely did a good job modelling it for us. Want the same clothes Mr. Bug is wearing? It’s only 75 credits! 😛

In other news: If you log in to Poptropica, you’ll notice a new ad on both sides of the screen. It’s advertising an original movie from Disney Channel called “Princess Protection Program” and it has the names “Selena Gomez” and “Demi Lovato” on the top. Under that is their description, which says “Royalty meets reality.” On the other side it says “Premieres Friday, June 26 8p/7c” with a sign that says “Click here”. If you click on that, it brings you to this webpage:

And here’s a final sneak peek at what you might expect on this troublesome island:

Blog Post Title: A Day in the Life of the Bard
Description: The Space Sharks are among my strongest but most stupid creations. They are a little thick headed, so I had to shoot at all three of them just so I could get their attention. We had quite a lovely space stroll until one of them got carried away and took a bite out of my space ship. What a mechanical mess! 0110111101110101011101000010000001100110

So head on out there and explore the unknown territories of outer space! The kingdom of Arturus is counting on you.

Advertisements, Reality TV Island, Sneak Peeks

Beautiful Sea Life

There’s an advertisement building for 6 to 8 year olds on Main Street (any island). It’s a Kellogg’s Froot Loops adventure, and this time it is up to you to rescue the toucans from the FrootOctopus! All you have to do is find 8 flashing red spots on the octopus and jump over it to “tickle” it. When you are done you will be awarded a yellow Froot Loops Costume and a FrootOctorizer (both temporary items).

Comic Kid flicked through his sketchbook. He smiled at every little doodle he’d ever drawn, thinking of the adventures it came with. But today he thought that one particular image stuck out to him: the little fishies. Then he got an idea.

Half an hour later, he’d reached the ocean next to Reality TV Island and was happily swimming underwater. He dove deeper, passing by schools of fish and a bunch of coral, until he finally saw the ground. There was one medium-sized green fish down there, grinning at him. Cute, thought Comic Kid, whipping out his underwater camera. He snapped a picture for memories and headed back on shore to put into his blog later. Amazing!

Blog Post Title: What Lurks Beneath
Description: Remember the pictures of fish that I drew awhile back? Well I thought I would go back to where I first saw them and show you what they look like in their surroundings. Amazing, huh?!
