Cryptids Island

First Slimy McGills, then this Furball.

Captian Crawfish VII: EXCUSE ME?!

EL: Well, I’m tired of Cryptids everywhere.

CC VII: Welcome to my nightmare kid, but play along, OK?

EL: Whatever. Here’s the new post!

Know Your Cryptids: Bigfoot

Bigfoot: Fact or Fiction?

Cryptids Island is coming very soon to Poptropica! Before you take on some of the world’s most fearsome mythical monsters, we’d like to tell you a little bit about the legends.

Bigfoot. Sasquatch. Yeti. Three names, one very large, very hairy creature. Reports of a half-man, half-ape abound all over the world.

In the Pacific Northwest region of North America, reports of a brown-haired beast go back decades. Most famously, a short movie taken by a man named Robert Pattinson Roger Patterson seems to show a Bigfoot lumbering through the woods, looking suspiciously back at the photographer.

In the snowy mountains of the Himalayas, a humanoid beast known as the Yeti, or the Abominable Snowman, has also been reported for years. But, as with the North American Bigfoot, no concrete proof of the Yeti has ever been found. A monastery in Nepal claims to have a Yeti scalp on display, but scientific tests of the hair have been inconclusive.

Well, what about you — do you believe in Bigfoot? Vote in our poll to the right!

I also threw together this nice little graphic for the occasion. 😀

Cryptids Island

Don’t Messie with Nessie

Because Nessie is considered dangerous and won’t like being photographed by cryptid paparrazies.

So now I bet you’re all thinking, “Man, that gives me the grump. It’s such a flump. Now Loch Ness is no better than a garbage dump. “

Well if you are thinking that, I have breaking news…

YOU’RE WRONG!!!!

Loch Ness is famous only because of Nessie. But did you know those aren’t the only world famous (Well, poptropica famous) things in Loch Ness? Yep, Oprah’s there! No, wait, she’s in Australia, (that’s where I am). OK, take 2!

And… action!

Monday, December 13, 2010

Have you spotted Nessie yet in the Cryptids Island sneak preview? Remember, you can look through the viewfinder every day for your chance to see Nessie and win a prize.

Even if you don’t see the Loch Ness Monster, there are plenty of other sights to see from the shore. Why, look who I saw cruising above the waters of Loch Ness!

You never know what you’ll find out there. Keep watching the skies! And the waters, of course.

Oh, man. I’m really starting to regret giving him that balloon.
And that’s not the only thing drifting around in Loch Ness! I took a look in a book the viewfinder AND LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!!!!
THAT IS UTTERLY IMPOSSIBLE! WE DESTROYED THAT! IT DOESN’T EXIST! Well, at least now we know why the castle is such a mess.
Over and Out,
GB
[PS: This is what I posted on the Poptropica project, but I posted it on the poptropica project, so it’s not plaiglrism (or however you spell it). I just copied and pasted it because I didn’t feel like writing a whole new post.]

Bees, bees, the wonderful insect.

I found a cool ad on Counterfeit Island. It’s sporting Honey Nut Cheerios. You have to avoid hornet stingers and catch him from behind. Kinda like when you catch the flying super villain. You get two sweet prizes: One is a Buzz follower and the other is a bee costume.

Thanks to Toxic Jared (aka theloudshark) for the video walkthrough:

Here are some screenshots of the ad, courtesy of RavenclawGurl:

Been a good, short… Run?

Well you heard it from the title, it’s time for me to go and disappear onto deviantArt and other stuff! Partly because of school, and drama on some chats. I may still be on the PHC, it just depends on if I feel like it or not. Don’t really want a special list of people I enjoyed talking to… Kinda lazy and it would single out people.

Another reason for me leaving would be the Daily Pop. We don’t really need to post now…. But I like coming here to see if someone has found some cool thing within the depths of Poptropica every once in a while.

Catch me on OMGPOP as NekoTsukiGodia (Search my username in the search bar)

Catch me on deviantArt as KittyCatDayleaf.

And I should be on the PHF…

P.S. Juyo, next time you catch me on, I have a recommendation for a new author to fullfill my awesome pawsteps.
