My name is MT, short for MonkeyTacoz. You might know me as the old Poptropica blogger, Creepy Kid/Invisible Drummer, or that one owner on the PHC, or Lightz on DigiTalk, or the writer of PWH. I’m practically everywhere.

Where do I start? *writer’s block desu~* I’m a 12 year-old boy from California, US. I spend way too much of my time drawing, watching TeenNick, on the computer, or deciding whether to read Homestuck or not. I also love Hot Pockets! 🙂

This is my one chance to talk about myself on here, but I just want to make it short, so you could get on with your day, guys.

Long story short, thanks Hijuyo; I’m really nice; I love Nutella.

I hope you all accept me here. I’ll try to bring back the old PHB vibe with a little bit of style and some humor to go with.

Later, folks!

PHB Parties, Web Development

3|THREE: Happy birthday, PHB! *inflates balloons*

Three years. We have come this far.

Three Spree!

Three years ago on July 26th, 2008, the Poptropica Help Blog was created by an 11-year-old girl and the support of her younger brother, collectively known, as some old-timers may recall, ‘Scary Tomato’ (the Poptropican’s name), then later as ‘Hijuyo.’ It turned out the girl was mostly the one running the blog, so she started going under the name ‘Hijuyo’ independently and writing posts with other hired blog authors.

Three years later it’s July 26th, 2011, Hijuyo is now 14, the blog has over 5 million views, a great community, and awesome contributors everywhere. We have invited everyone who wanted to come celebrate, and come they did. The PHB just celebrated their big 3|Three party on our chatroom, the PHC, and met in Multiverse with tons of supporters coming to inflate their “3” balloons (of varying sizes!) from Poptropica’s own 3rd birthday. It was also our third Author Night, and people were able to meet and talk with some of our great PHB authors. Hicoga made a video of the party you can watch here.

These three years were also Hijuyo’s three middle school years, and though I would probably never delete the PHB, high school would mean I may have less time here. Which is why, for everyone’s enjoyment, the PHB comments are now set so that a comment made can immediately go through instead of me having to manually approve them. Hopefully this will bring more discussion in each post as people can read and respond to each other quickly – however, authors will still need to monitor the comments to make sure they don’t get out of hand and everyone has to be responsible in following commenting rules. I will still be around, although I do hope everyone in the community does their part in helping the PHB continue to prosper.

Long live the PHB and the rest of the network!

Fly away, Blu bird

There’s a new ad game building for the movie “Rio,” and your task is to help Blu the blue macaw (fitting name!) learn to fly! Guide him through the rings, and beware of obstacles, especially Nigel the white bird!

Thanks to TheLoudShark for the above walkthrough video.

By the way, don’t forget that Shrink Ray Island comes out on July 28th for all Poptropicans!

The Ride of Life

Remember when you sent Dr. Hare flying through space in a giant Rabbot?

Ever wondered what was beyond that universe and where he ended up?

It looks like he’s become a globetrotter and has been adventuring at Lagoon Amusement Park in Farmington, Utah. He’s even shared some snapshots from the trip!

Where would you like to see him go next? Where do you think the winds will take him? And where in the world would you want to visit? 🙂

Store

Shrink Ray Gun!

Hey everyone. There’s a new item in the Poptropica Store once again. It’s based off of…you guessed it, Shrink Ray Island! Nonmembers will be able to play very soon!

Can it really shrink everything? I wonder if you can actually turn buildings small with this thing 😉

As mentioned in the comments, there was an alternative you could’ve used with the Despicable Me Shrink Ray from that one ad room…about all those little midgets I think :/. But now, you’ll need no alternative. You can now buy the official Shrink Ray Gun in the Poptropica Store for free if you’re a member, or 150 credits.
