In a week, Poptropica’s 20th Island will be releasing to the non members! Who’s a nonmember who’s excited?! 😀 I sure am. The Creators made a post for this momentous occasion! So stop jumping around happy and read the post! 😛

Shrinking the days away

The dog days of summer keep dragging along. Shrink Ray Island will be available for all to play on Thursday, July 28. But if you’re a Poptropica Member, you can play it right now!

Even if you’re not a Member, you can still try out the opening portion of the Island by visiting your travel map and heading to Shrink Ray Island. You can also keep playing the Shrink Shot game.

No matter what you choose to do, there’s lots of tiny fun you can have on Poptropica this summer!

Apparently, Shrink Shot is still up, so if you haven’t gotten all 4 prizes (Shrink Ray Balloon, Crayons, Grape Gum, Soda Bottle), Sparkle Power for members, or beaten the High score of Sharkboy yet, you still have time. Good luck! Well, have fun waiting for Shrink Ray everyone!

In other news…

Theres a new Smurfs ad building! It is set in a toy store with the owner having a dilemma. The Smurfs are trying to find the Stargazer, which is a telescope. They all have clues as to what it is. You have to find all the clues and find the Stargazer before the store closes in 1 minute. If you win, you get SMURF Transform, which lets you turn any Poptropican into a Smurf! Sporty Boa is a longtime Poptropica Member who was among the first to finish Shrink Ray Island. She’s also an expert Star Link player, with a lifetime record of 29 wins and only 2 losses! You might want to think twice before accepting that challenge in a common room.

This new superstars series just gets bettter and better :D. Today’s superstar is… Quiet Boot.

Quiet Boot has membership on Poptropica. She’s finished the two newest islands (Red Dragon and Shrink Ray) on the day they were released. Talk about dedication.

The creators also mentioned about making de islands harder…gosh…NO…bad idea, creators (shakes head). Ugh. Shrink Ray Island lowered my self esteem by a notch at first xD.

Quiet Boot’s ranks unbeaten on the Red Dragon Island “Prepare for Impact” sumo wrestling game. Another reason why you’d have to be pretty dedicated to do that :P. Congratulations, Quiet Boot! You may be quiet but you’re a star player to boot, and you’ve certainly aced the game so far.

Hope some author on this blog like Hijuyo gets recognized as well. What if hi.Juyo gets on there? She certainly should be recognized for her blogging achievements. I’d bet a dollar on that :P. EP out!

Introducing another Poptropica Superstar: Grey Icicle!

Not to be confused with our first Poptropica Superstar, Grey Icicle is nevertheless a dedicated player who you’ve seen most recently as one of the first 10 finishers of Shrink Ray Island. Grey Icicle has been playing Poptropica for over 2 years, and in that time has torn through some of our toughest islands within days of their release. He’s also won 93 games of Skydive!

In other news, 2 new ads have made their way into the Poptropica world: The Smurfs and Fijit Friends. Screenshots are provided by Striped Grape!

First off, the Smurfs ad isn’t a building ad, but a video ad. When you watch the video (which is about the movie coming out sometime this m onth), at the end, you get a free Smurfs costume!

The next ad is Fjit Friends, which is for girls. It’s a product that is a girl’s best friend and can say a lot of phrases. Inside there is a video, a quiz game, and a dummy with a costume from one of the Fijit Friends.

Moving on… the day your Poptropican turns miniature (if it hasn’t already) will be the day Shrink Ray Island releases to the public! And that day is…

July 28th!

That’s about two weeks away from now. Not to worry, the PHB already has our Shrink Ray island resources up and ready on our Island Help page, which links to our written walkthrough guide with Shrink Ray Island cheats, a labeled map, video playlist tutorial, and if you’re still stuck, an ever-helpful discussion page!

In other news, thanks to PHB reader Angry Wing we have learned the names of some more Poptropica Creators – Cara Campanelli, who handles customer support, and Kevin McGrath, who used to work as Poptropica’s customer support.
