Ride the Hawk Wings before the sunset 🌅

Hey Poptropicans, it’s the start of a new week, which means another store update on Poptropica! Let’s pop in for a peek. 👀

Over in the costumes section, there’s a new casual outfit: the Sunset Tee! Also, though these have been around for a while, the Creators’ Blog recap of this week’s update highlighted the elegant Prom Princess and Prom Party looks in time for prom season. Promtropica party time?

As for the other costumes, they’ll probably look familiar if you’ve been playing Pop for a while. Even some older costumes have made a comeback, like the Baseball Uniform and Lightning Knight!

Not covered in the Creators’ update are some new styles for pets. Most notably, there’s a cool set of The Hawk Wings for members’ pets. For non-members, you can pick up a simple yet chic Halter Neck Dress for your little one or some of the other fashions from before.

But wait, there’s more! The clubhouse store also rotated its stock, with a few shiny new things among them — including a Brilliant Baby Dr. Hare poster, glowing little bunny lamp, and desk lamp for members.

And if you’re needing credits to fund this shopping spree, be sure to check out the Lost Cubs Mini Quest released last week! 🐻 You can replay this quick game to get 50 credits for each subsequent run-through.

Last but not least, remember that the Fairytale Fanfic Challenge is open until this Friday at 8 pm PST! Take that bundle of straw of an ending that the Creators left us with, and turn it into a pile of literary gold à la Rumpelstiltskin. Plus, consider sharing your story with the PHB! ✏️

Hey Poptropicans, we come bear-ing a few bits of news: a mini-quest release date, a store rotation with a highly hyped item, and several works of colorful fan art. Let’s pop in for a look!

First, the Creators’ Blog announced a new mini-quest coming soon, and it’s coming up fast: this Thursday, May 13! The official sneak peek bearly gives you a hint for what’s to come, but in case you missed it, this little game had an accidental early release—so have another pic:

According to the official blog, this special event will be for all players and can be replayed for more credits, so get ready to rack them up!

Next up, the arrival of another week means another Adventure Outfitters store rotation! We’ve seen most of these at one point or another, but the Pastel Hoodie is new to Amelia’s store.

So iconic is the Pastel Hoodie that blue-haired Silent Frog, who appears to be Poptropica’s social media manager now, showed up on Pop’s Instagram with several stories hyping up the new look:

Speaking of IG stories, Poptropica also recently shared another round of vivid fan art pieces from the community, including a couple of interesting gender and sexuality-related headcanons for Black Widow:

Trend Report: Rumplestiltskin cosplay and empty promises 😼

Howdy Poptropicans! It’s LJ here reporting on the final weekly store update of April.

A good selection of outfits were added in Adventure Outfitters, including the look of Rumplestiltskin from Fairytale Island (check out our guide and review!). We even got a couple of knights appropriately for sale too. Neato! The total number of stock is 24 (which is more than the usual 18) and only 8 are for members. Prices range from 75 to 350 credits.

We got a few new fairytale themed items in the side sections as well. You’ll notice an adorable cat-i-corn topper when you first walk in (I’m totally picking this up!), and if you go to the right you’ll see a legendary sword and a big (or should I say little?) bad wolf follower. So cool!

The clubhouse furniture store items have also been rotated. As far as I’m aware, the “new” items include a lantern (first pic), a wooden vanity (second pic), and a turquoise soda machine (last pic). I put “new” in quotations because although the items weren’t featured in the store last time, they’ve been available in Adventure Outfitters for weeks now. So yeah, nothing technically new, just thought it was worth pointing out. 😛

Also, a belated happy Earth Day to all! Although April 22 was a big day on Poptropica for the release of Fairytale Island, the creators also took the opportunity to celebrate our planet with an Instagram post. The caption includes encouragements for greener living and a Wendell Berry quote: “The Earth is what we all have in common.”

That’s all the updates for now, but before I close off this post, you know what update is lacking? Hmm… where are the results of the recent fanart contest? We were told the winners would be announced on the 23rd yet here we are three days later, and nothing — with no word on what the holdup is. Come on, creators.

On the topic of art, be sure to participate in this month’s Community Creations; the theme is bugs. Who knows? Maybe an idea will crawl its way into your head. Anyway, it’s time to sign off now. Pop on!

TikTok, threads, and more!

Howdy Poptropicans! It’s LJ here with a couple news and updates.

So Poptropica is on TikTok now (@poptropicacreator)… interesting. I’m wondering what they’re going to share other than what we already see on Instagram or the Creators’ Blog. Perhaps some nostalgic content? They announced their arrival to TikTok on their Instagram story with a slideshow of scenes from old islands:

Update: This video later became their first TikTok post, including a slightly chipper voice reading out the text shown on-screen. (Thanks to paris for the news!) The text reads: “If you know, you know. 2000’s kids definitely remember. Poptropica is still putting out new islands!!”

Next, another week has passed which means there a few new items on sale at Adventure Outfitters including a couple of classic costumes like the Rock Star and Little Demon. You can see the newly available items indicated below:

In more exciting news, Fairytale Island is practically here! The highly anticipated Dream Island contest winner launches for all players tomorrow (April 22)! I hope the creators will bring back the World of Champions map. I really liked that feature because it was cool to see where you ranked in terms of how fast you were able to beat the quest.

In spirit of the new island, Poptropica has yet again featured another set of amazing entries for the Fairytale Fan Art Challenge over on their Instagram page — by various artists (some of whom we’ve featured here on the blog as part of our Pop Fan Artist Spotlight series).
