Plan – take over your wallpaper (with a Lego brick)

The Doctor (Hare) thanks you!

Er, looks like he’s a bit busy plotting world domination with his supercomputer right now…

To celebrate the milestone of 1,000 supporters on the Poptropica LEGO CUUSOO project, you can download this dim yet decorative wallpaper for a variety of devices:

Also, the project has gotten an official message from the LEGO CUUSOO team! Woohoo! 😀

Congratulations on 1,000+ Supporters!

2013.02.04

Congratulations on blowing past the first 1,000 supporter milestone on LEGO CUUSOO! You’ve done a great job creating and presenting a concept LEGO playset for such a popular game. Best of luck on your journey to 10,000 supporters!

The LEGO CUUSOO Team

Now let’s get the project to 10,000 and we’ll have a really happy bunny hopping around in glee. 😛

One thousand votes down, nine thousand to go

(Post reblogged from Super Thunder’s Blog with edit at the end from Slanted Fish.)

Hey guys, BT here with an update on the Poptropica Lego Cuusoo campaign: right now, we just reached the milestone of over 1,000 supporters! *squee!*

Now, before that milestone was reached, Dr. Hare posting an update on how we may not be brainwashed after all.

You have done well, my minions. Since we announced our LEGO CUUSOO project last week, many of you have done your part to help us reach the promised land of 10,000 supporters. There’s a long way to go, but as I write this post, we are just a few votes shy of our first major milestone: 1,000 supporters!

Can you help our project reach 1,000 supporters? Visit our LEGO CUUSOO project page now to cast your vote! Make this happen, and I might reconsider my plans to enslave you all.

(Remember, if you’re not 13 years old or older, you’ll need a parent to sign in on the CUUSOO page in order to support the project.)

A cool thing I noticed in the comments was that one of the staff members of Lego Cuusoo commented!

Things seem to be looking up, but we’re still 9,000 votes shy of our goal… show some appreciation, peeps! If you can’t vote, you can cheer from the sidelines as well! ;) Make sure Dr. Hare doesn’t enslave us like he enjoys trying to do…

BT out!

Dr Hare Lego

Yup, that’s Dr. Hare’s new Creators’ Blog avatar! And the PCB has a new icon for their sidebar asking you to vote for their LEGO CUUSOO project. Supporting LEGO Poptropica means supporting LEGO carrots! 😀

On an unrelated note, Loud Feather got his loud voice heard when his letter was featured on the PCB. Go and check out his ode to Poptropica, titled A Lament to the 32 Islands!

PHB Sneak Peeks: Never Shaken, Never Stirred

While looking around, I stumbled upon a picture of these two unseen costumes – Stealth Agent (with super-epic night vision headgear) and Spy Agent (with toilet plunger gun). As it turns out, new Spy Island figures will soon be added to Poptropica’s lineup of 3-inch figurine toys, and come with these!

New Spy Items!

UPDATE: Reader Nicholas (Squeezy Wing) tells us that he messaged Poptropica about these toys and was told that it was buyable for a limited time, and now that the time is over, it can’t be bought again. Strangely, though, they’re still listed as “Coming soon”!

The page for these upcoming Spy Toys is already up, though not yet listed with the rest of the Poptropica toys. Like the other 3″ toys, they’ll probably be sold as an island pack together and only have one actual set of arms and legs (the other is just clothing you can switch on it to customize).

Here’s the official description and picture of the toys:

Spy Island’s top operatives are ready for their next assignment! Disappear into the shadows with the undetectable Stealth Agent, or take center stage with the unflappable Spy Agent. Coming soon!

I have to say, though, the Stealth Agent toy is rather lacking compared to its ultra-awesome-looking online code-redeeming counterpart. 😛 What do you think of these toys? How about the costumes?

Side note: James Bond likes his martinis shaken, not stirred.

Potential for LEGO Poptropica – starting with Dr. Hare’s Lair

You like LEGO. You like Poptropica. Mix them together (and I don’t mean just your average ad building) and now you’ve got something extraordinarily creative! Poptropica’s Creators have unveiled their idea for a Poptropica LEGO set, featuring Dr. Hare’s lair from 24 Carrot Island:

So cool, la! But before you get too excited, they need our help. To get LEGO to consider the project, it needs 10,000 supporters. If you like what you see, or you just want bragging rights to be able to say “I helped Lego Poptropica! They’d be nowhere without me! Mwahahaha!” – then visit the LEGO CUUSOO site and vote for their project!

All you need to do is be logged in (you can either sign up or connect to Facebook or Twitter) and click the big green “Support” button. If you’re under 13, you’ll need to get someone older to vote for you. While you’re there, you can also read about the design, see more pictures, and post a comment.

The entrance to Dr. Hare’s Lab features a security camera and sliding door to ensure that only authorized bunny drones can enter Dr. Hare’s Lair. The Command Console includes satellite antenna, swivel chair, supercomputer, and, of course, extra carrots for those mid-afternoon snack attacks.

The Giant Rabbot is a massive, space-faring attack bunny that is just crying out to enslave the minds of 24 Carrot Island’s citizens. The Giant Rabbot includes flick-fire missiles, movable head, arms and ears, and even space for a passenger – perhaps one wearing a pink bunny suit…

I was the 154th supporter! Let’s bring this idea to reality! 😀

New Poptropica Books for 2013

Cryptids IslandAmazon now lists four new titles of Poptropica books, which we can expect to see this year! The first two, Cryptids Island and Lunar Colony Island, are novels based on their online counterparts, and the cover art is already up! Look at that furry Bigfoot! He sure has some Bighands. Now let’s see the Jersey Devil. 😛

Island Creator Kit, which shows how an island gets created from scratch, sounds very promising – Creators, REVEAL YOUR SECRETS! And look, it’s written by Hades (Mitch). Lastly, Friends Handbook sounds like one to be shared with your best buds.
