Warning: Zombie Invasion in T-Minus 5 Days

Hey, you’re going to need some protection from the zombies, Jack.

There are only five days left until Zomberry Island is available to all, so tell me, what do you think is going to help you get through the apocalypse? (Even if it isn’t actually necessary…)

One week left to get your ZMB Unit costume!

We’re kicking the new year off right when we launch Zomberry Island for everyone next Thursday, January 10. But you know what that means: the exclusive, Members-only “ZMB Unit” costume will also be coming out of the store on that date!

If you’re already a Poptropica Member, make sure you grab the ZMB Unit costume before it’s gone. If you’re not a Member, get Membership today so that you can get all the great Members-only gear, and play Zomberry Island before the general public!

So, are you going to wait and play with the “general public” or be a ZMB Member and play now?

In other news, there is an interesting new Daily Pop post that caught my attention.

FatTuesday

The caption reads “Mardi Gras: These folks are ready for Fat Tuesday”.

Mardi Gras is coming up on Tuesday, February 12 here in the United States, what are the creators planning with these fancy costumes? Could it be related to the new Mall Island which could or couldn’t have something to do with Monster Carnival?

Return of Monster Carnival?

One of Poptropica’s biggest mysteries is Monster Carnival Island… it appeared on the Map but vanished with no explanation one day to be replaced by 24 Carrot Island. However, this sneak peek (“Carnival of Costumes – maybe not quite a circus of values”) recently surfaced on the Daily Pop:

Carnival Costumes

Could we be seeing the return of Monster Carnival? Or is this just going to be another shop in the new mall-themed island we’ve been seeing recently? After all, the white mannequins seen in the picture above are also featured in this Daily Pop (“Fashion Plate – try before you buy”) image:

Also, I recall that seconds 0:12 to 0:14 on the official trailer video for Poptropica’s Friends gave us a subtle hint for “MonsterCarnival2012.” However, it’s 2013 and we’ve yet to see it happen! (By the way, look up that username on the Avatar Studio and you’ll get a character with the name Monster Carnival!)

The video was posted in early April 2012, and here’s a screenshot of what I’m talking about:

MonsterCarnival2012

So what do you think? Will we be seeing Monster Carnival again, or will it remain a mystery forever? Also, check out our new PHB article, Mystery of Monster Carnival, in which all the Monster Carnival Island data we know is exposed for your knowledge. You can find it under Cool Stuff, and it will explain the history of this mystery! 🙂

Poptropolis News

Hey Poptropicans! Shaggy here. More disturbing news from the Poptropolis area! Check it:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DECEMBER 27, 2012 — Mews Foundation seismologists have verified reports of “sizable tectonic activity” taking place beneath the Poptropolis Games. “We’ve heard the stories about the island returning to the seas whence it came, but, frankly, we thought that smooth-talking emcee was just being dramatic,” said Mews Foundation spokesperson Cheerful Spinner. “However, at this time we are not confirming that the Poptropolis Games are, in fact, on the verge of sinking back into the sea.”

When asked if the Mews Foundation was denying that such an event was taking place, Spinner had no comment.

This is a breaking news story… updates as events warrant…

Sinking further.

Hmm, it does seem to be sinking further and further down compared to what BT took last. So what do you guys think? Are they sinking back into oblivion for the next 100 years? Or is it something else? Leave your speculations in the comments! If the island is, in fact, sinking, I think you better finish Poptropolis Games and fast!

Have a Happy New Year! 😀

There’s a new ad for Monsters, Inc. which will be in theaters December 19 in 3D. Watch the trailer video and get a new costume! Boys will get the Mike Wazowski Hat and girls will get the Boo Costume. Thanks Mad Tornado and Ayman351! Looking totally spiffy there.
