INT. MUSTACHIO GANG HIDEOUT – AFTERNOON

EL MUSTACHIO GRANDE and the four other members of his gang are lazing around, trying to avoid the height of the daytime desert heat and plotting their next move.

SCARRED BANDIT

That bank is wide open for us. Traders are coming soon too, we can grab it and pawn it off with no one noticing!

BANDIT GIRL

I don’t want to go back out until we know that storm isn’t going to happen again!

REDHEAD BANDIT

Still worried about you lil’ neckerchief?

BANDIT GIRL

It’s not just that! Y’know I can handle losing a piece of fabric!

(con’t)

Something was wrong there. It felt dangerous.

REDHEAD BANDIT

…Still worried about your dangerous lil’ neckerchief?

BANDIT GIRL

I’m gonna get you right between the eyes–!

MUSTACHIO

Come on, enough of that!

(con’t)

Yes, a scrap of fabric is no problem, but what happened the other day was not something we should scoff at.

EXT. DUSTY GULCH – EVENING

We’re back outside the Dusty Gulch Hotel. WIDOW can be seen through the saloon doors at the bar counter, looking much less agonized. Meanwhile, MOREAU is getting her picture taken by a photographer outside. She is handed her photo, disappointed to find that DR. HARE accidentally photobombed her while he was lurking in the background for clues, walking around with a metal detector.

MOREAU runs to him, whispering:

MOREAU

You! Put that away! We don’t need to attract any more attention?

HARE pushes a button. The metal detector swiftly folds up into a compact case.

HARE

Do you have any better ideas?

DIRECTOR D.

(Off-screen)

Over here!

DIRECTOR D. is searching behind a nearby trading post. He’s looking at the base, where an old handkerchief is laying. Not just old–its threads are coated with a strange, dark substance, similar to the one found by the ship’s mast.

DR. HARE picks it up with a cloth and puts it in a bag.

HARE

I’ll test it when we get back to the ship.

DEPUTY

Howdy there!

EXT. CAPTAIN CRAWFISH’S SHIP “H.M.S. SEA CHICKEN” – EVENING

FADE IN on the ship, later the same day. CRAWFISH has managed to gather everyone on the ship together on the deck. EDWARD is next to him with an old blackboard and a piece of chalk the size of his knuckle. Compared to the lovely weather from earlier, storm clouds are approaching once more.

CRAWFISH

All right, you lily-livered new folk!

(con’t)

I know none of you are used to life at sea, so we’re going to change that starting now!

HARE gags, still a little green in the face.

CRAWFISH

Each one of you has to carry your weight, no matter how high and mighty you may think you are.

EDWARD

None of us want to go through the trouble of training all of ye, so most of this will be cleaning an’ simple chores.

DIRECTOR D.

I used to hire janitors for this…

Fan Comic: PoptropiCon Saga, Part 5/5 💥

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Invisible RingEnjoy!

Attention, Poptropicans!

The moment you’ve all been waiting for: After four long years of artistic struggle and self-discovery, my PoptropiCon Saga is finally complete!

Yes, it’s been forever since my Dream Island comics and the rest of my PoptropiCon comics, but it goes to show that you can’t rush art! (Catch up on the PoptropiCon Saga with Parts 123, and 4 here.)

Like other comics, the last two books are extra thick — which means more gut-busting comics to enjoy, and a mind-blowing grand finale that brings the whole series to a complete circle! And with the final saga chapter comes one final exciting blurb to get you going:

The ultimate warlord, E. Vile, has finally reared his ugly head and is ready to destroy the last heroes that still stand in his way. The final battle has arrived, and with it, the last chance to stand up and prove oneself as a true hero… But at what cost? Through blood, sweat, and tears, a power is rising beyond control. Will that power be the difference between victory and defeat, or will it serve to destroy everything; good and evil alike? And what will become of PoptropiCon, the place where it all began?

Power up for a Mighty Action Grand Finale you’ll never forget… RIGHT here in book 13, and the MEGA-books 14 and 15.

Issue #13: The Rise of Chaos

Issue #14: Fight to the Finish!

Issue #15 — FINALE: Last Day of the Con

…And that concludes my PoptropiCon comic book saga. But if you’re sad that it’s over and you want more comics, then don’t fret! For like many comic sagas, an epilogue follows, like a glass of milk to go with your complete set of cookies. So stay tuned! This PoptropiCon epilogue is sure to come a lot faster than my other comics… hopefully.  Until then!

Hope you enjoyed this guest post by Invisible Ring. If you did, you might also enjoy other posts of hers, including her PHB interview about her Poptropica fan movie, Battle Morale!

EXT. CAPTAIN CRAWFISH’S SHIP “H.M.S. SEA CHICKEN” – MORNING

It’s the next day since the villain’s escape from Erewhon prison. While there’s no storms currently overhead, the sky is patched with clouds. BLACK WIDOW is on deck, wrapping her wrists and hands with bandages and tape.

She turns to one of the masts, where an area has been marked with old paint splatters. WIDOW starts punching, rapidly striking at the pole with no apparent injury or pain to her knuckles.

CUT TO the interior of CAPTAIN CRAWFISH’S cabin, which is placed near the stern. The windows are decorated with red stained glass, and crimson-hued lanterns add light to the room. It’s covered in treasure and nice furniture from his previous expeditions, including luxurious rugs, antique globes that map different “dimensions” of Poptropica, and a daybed in a nook. CRAWFISH is sitting at his main desk near the windows, with some extra chairs placed out. DIRECTOR D., MOREAU, and his assistant EDWARD are all in the room.

CRAWFISH motions to the chairs.

CRAWFISH

Sit, sit all of you.
