Thanks to Cheerful Claw for the update: yesterday’s T-shirt design poll is over and the winning shirts are now available for purchase at Poptropica’s online store. That’s right, not just one shirt, but two!

Here’s Shark Boy’s explanation.

We have a winner! Since both the 1st and 2nd place designs were close we decided to make T-shirts out of both. So check out our store to get your own Secret Agent shirt. Thanks to all who voted!

The T-shirts weren’t the only merchandise section to update! The Poptropica Creators’ Blog‘s “Poptropica Life Size Wall Prints” widget also experienced a change. (See the picture on the right to know what it looks like now!)

The new widget image reads, “7 feet of pure Poptropica awesomeness <Ned Noodlehead’s picture> Poptropica™ Life Size Wall Prints Click Here available through LTLprints.com”. As usual, clicking on the picture brings you to another one of Poptropica’s online stores, and this one is located at LTLprints.com. The title of the online store now reads,”Poptropica Official Partner – Buy Your Favorite Poptropica as a Life-Sized – Removable and Reusab[le]”.

On the Poptropica LTL (Larger Than Life) webpage, there are new advertisements showing how the wall decorations are, “Self-Adhesive, Removable, Reusable, Durable, Easy to Install. Peel-it! Stick-it! Repeat!” They also offer free shipping with laptop prints!

Celebrating April Fools’ Day: On Poptropica!
If the PHB didn’t fool you, maybe Poptropica will, with the help of VladtheViking’s latest YouTube video!

…And that’s a visual summary of what happened on Poptropica for April Fools! Everyone’s head got bigger (players and non-player characters!), the Poptropica logo on the homepage was backwards, and when you loaded the Poptropica page, a bunch of Poptropicans in goofy glasses would come out. The Creators also included a special picture of Dr. Hare with their blog post (aprilfools.png):

T-Shirt Design Voting: Secret Agent
Remember the Poptropica Popularity Contests a couple weeks ago? We all know the secret agent from Spy Island Headquarters won, and he’s going to get a T-shirt made just for him! Bet he feels really special waving his gun-thing around, as shown below. These are the 4 options:

Wondering what the “super-special” outfits designed by the Creators were for? Thanks to Rough Panda‘s quick update and Director D’s blog post, we do! (Well, for 2 of those costumes at least…)

A few weeks ago, you might remember that the Creators posted a special sneak peek of two rock stars. Guess what, they’re now shirts! 😆

This is what Director D said on his post:

For all of you who are hungry for more Poptropica t-shirts, we’ll be posting a new design in our store every Friday for the next month. Stay tuned!

This means that during the month of April 2009, a new Poptropica T-shirt will be available every Friday (in total, there should be 4 shirts coming out next month)! Because the secret agent from Spy Island won the Popularity Contest, we can expect at least one of those designs to be of him. But what will the other ones be? Are the other “super-special” outfits going to become tees, too? Comment with your opinions! 😀

Another big discovery about the Poptropica Creators! And no, this one isn’t from the strange place Comic Kid just visited. Let’s give it up for Quick Flame, who tracked down yet another Creator:

I found a Jordan Leary who works for Poptropica for editing or something, he has a website too, I think it’s jordanleary.com or something.

Jordan Leary is another Poptropica Creator – and there’s proof on his website. Stalkers, here’s the details you need:

Job: Flash game developer at Pearson Education, Inc. He’s currently working on Poptropica, he says. Jordan is primarily responsible for the front-end programming, animation, and visual effects.

For some evidence that he is a Creator, check out his website. On the right side of the main page, it says he works for Poptropica. Then click on “Interactive” on Mr. Leary’s site. It will bring up some images that he has apparently worked on, and the very first one listed should show 2 Poptropicans together on Early Poptropica Island! Cool…
