Poptropica’s having another Applebee’s promotion, and like before, you’ll find a Family Activity Book available from the kids menu of this North American restaurant. According to this article, the offer goes from now until November 10th. It features coloring exercises, games, and puzzles. Thanks, Muddy Axe!

The Super Villain Island members gear pack is now available! Visit the Poptropica Store to pick up your free Night Hare costume (inverted/negative-colored Dr. Hare – this one’s limited edition), Sleeping Powder power (makes everyone fall asleep), and Evil Henchmen item (drops bunnies, crawfish, spiders, robotic mice). Awesome! Thanks, Muddy Axe.

There’s also an ad building forĀ Monster High, so if you’re interested, check out the costumes and special prizes in the dorms of Venus (prize: Pollenator), Rochelle (Stone Gargoyle), and Robecca (Jetpack)! You might also see some other players around because it appears to be a sort of common room as well.

Some recent new sneak peeks on the Daily Pop suggest a possible city-themed island we may see in the future. Could it be related to this Creator sneak peek about the birth of an island? It even mentions the word smoothie, and one of these newer sneak peeks shows a building called Sluggy’s Smoothies. There’s also a Subway, matching both the island-process-planning sneak peek mentioned, and the Daily Pop.

On Roald Dahl Day, the Creators confirmed what we had been suspecting: an island themed after Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Lots of Daily Pops have evidence for the idea, including this newer one depicting the infamous chocolate river Augustus Gloop fell into:

If you haven’t already, look for the blue balloon with a “5” on it in any common room (though Early Poptropica’s Soda Pop Shop is the easiest because of its smaller size) and pop it to get a bonus firework-shooting, limited edition epic birthday cake costume. There’s also a free color-changing balloon in the Store! Poptropica’s 5th birthday celebration lasts for the rest of September. Check out BT’s post for more pics!

If you’ve played the new Lunar Colony Island, you may have seen this view of planet Earth Poptropica from the moon. Turns out, the Creators had planned for it to look like a real photograph called “Earthrise,” from the Apollo 8 mission. Pretty cool! Lunar Colony will be available to everyone starting on Thursday, September 6th. Be warned, though: there’s only one week left to get the limited edition “Zaggy Moondust” costume from the Poptropica Store! The official description for Super Villain Island has been released, and here’s what it says:

Deep inside a top-secret prison, four of Poptropica’s most infamous villains float in suspended animation. Your mission: to infiltrate their minds and extract the sources of their evil. Can you withstand a journey to the heart of darkness, or will their twisted dreams trap you forever?

Yikies. Sounds really, really dark… and as if you think the 4 twisted minds aren’t enough, if you’re a member, you have ONE MORE to worry about. Doesn’t exactly say who, either.

The world may be safe, but another villain stirs in his slumber. Do you dare to enter the dream machine once more, andĀ visit a nightmarish version of one of the most popular Poptropica Islands?

IĀ originally hadĀ a feeling the nightmare-ish island will be Shark Tooth (see Daily Pop: Breaking News), but Serious Shadow has reverted the pictureĀ for the bonus quest to normal and look at this:

So let me get something straight…

We… are going… via dream machine… into the villains’ minds?!? And I have two questions:

  1. How did Dr. Hare get out of space?
  2. How did the Binary Bard get back to Poptropica without the orb?

I’m kinda confused, but all I know it’s aboutĀ delving into theĀ twisted minds of the four (five for members) villains and getting rid of their source of their insanity/evil. Like I said earlier, it sounds dark… but we can do it!!
