There’s PopToolz to address, new Creators’ blog posts, new side ads, and last but not least the WINNERS!!!…so lets hit it! XD

#1 – New Side Ads! – Credit to Johnny!

Check out these new side ads, advertising the upcoming movie, The Tooth Fairy. Interesting thing to note that it stars Dwayne Johnson, The Rock. OK I admit it – I used to watch WWW or WWE or whatever it was called… Don’t shoot me. And it wasn’t like I was a hardcode (lame joke I know) fan or anything…I was kinda forced to watch it. Don’t ask.

#2 – New Creators’ Blog post! – Credit to…well…me. XD

#3 – PopToolz!

First of all, thanks for all the positive feedback about PopToolz! =D
Secondly, I just want to list the features coming in the next version:

  • Instant alerts on new Creators’ Blog posts
  • Instant alerts on new PHB posts
  • Fullscreen mode – when enabled, it allows you to play Poptropica in 100% full screen!
  • New keyboard shortcuts

And that’s pretty much it. If you have any feature suggestions, go ahead and post them in the comments!
You can download the current version here. Remember, it’s Firefox only. I’m also working on getting it reviewed & accepted by Mozilla…

#5 – An awesome game!

I wanted to tell you guys about an awesome new game I found – it’s called Wiglington and Wenks. Inside of Wiglington and Wenks, you can interact with other players, battle each other in “Balloon Warz”, throw and participate in parties, travel all over the world to places like Singapore, Madagascar, Australia, The Amazon Rainforest, and The Grand Canyon!

The main goal of the game, however, is to find and restore the memories of historical persons who have been accidentally placed in the present. Also, the evil Count Cannaregio has stolen Carto’s Magic Maps from Wiglington, who is the rightful owner of them. The Magic Maps are powerful tools, by which the barer can travel and see back and forth through time. Obviously, in the wrong hands things could go terribly awry.

So if it sounds like your type of game, go ahead and check it out! Hijuyo and I already have account there, called…well, Hijuyo and Coderkid. 😛 Here’s a screenshot of me hanging out in Wiglington Town.

Cloudy with a Chance of Spies…

Sparkle Star/Green Seal

There are two brand-new advertisements in Poptropica! =D It’s for the ages 6-11, and they’re on the Main Street on islands!  They are the:

Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs:

Yep, there used to be another ad for this movie.  This one, however, is for the Blu-Ray, DVD, and PSP versions of the movie that are coming out on January 5th!  Here’s an image of the advertisement:

Guide:

Well, first you have to enter the advertisement (obviously xD), then talk to the guy with the crazy brown hair (who is probably Flint).  He says his machine that makes food fall from the sky is broken.  OH NOEZ!  NO MOAR FOOD FALLING DOWN FROM THE SKY?!?! THIS IS A DISASTER! D:

He says the machine is located at the top of the “dangerous” ice cream mountain.  I mean, if it’s made out of ice cream, how dangerous could it be?  I could even eat it if I wanted to. >:D Flint tells you to go to the helicopter to bring the machine back to him.

Now jump on different items (unless you can fly) to the left until you see a helicopter in the crack of the building.  Click on it to enter it.  You have to shut down the machine by flying to the mountain!  They tell you to be cautious and watch out for falling food… hmm….I haven’t had breakfast yet… >:D  Press the start button to begin.

Now you are at the top of the mounta- ICE CREAM!! 😀 Unfortunately, though, your poptropican cannot eat it. D: The horror!  To be on top of an ice cream mountain and not be able to eat it? THIS IS TORTURE! Well, anyway, jump on the very top and click on the machine.  Now it should be raining meatballs! :O But wait, if the machine to make food fall from the sky doesn’t work, then HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?  Is it… could it be… magic? :O

Well, now you have to click on the pink spoon in the green ice cream.  Once you do that, you should be sliding down the ice cream mountain on a spoon.  Oh, how I wish I could just eat the whole mountain…. xD You can move your cursor to move your poptropican.  Try to dodge the falling food (even though I know you want to eat it sooo bad).  You have three chances, and you can see your number of chances by the amount of meatballs on the left.

You just press the left button on your mouse to make your poptropican jump over the food on the mountain.  Continue dodging, jumping, and sliding down the mountain until this screen pops up:

I want to eat those costumes sooo bad... :O

Now you win two costumes, as shown above: the Spaghetti Outfit, and the Sugar Cone Outfit! Yum.. 😀

Spy Next Door:

This advertisement is for the new movie coming up on January 15th, which I want to watch! xD

Guide:

Once you’re in the ad, talk to the crying poptropican with glasses (who is named Bob 😀 ).  He reveals that he’s really a government agent and tells you the kids he is babysitting accidentally downloaded secret files. :O The spies are trying to get to it! :O OH NOEZ!

Bob needs help babysitting and keeping the kids and their pet pig (aww… cute wittle piggy… :3) safe from the spies.  Now, what spy would be mean enough to harm a cute little pig? D:< After he tells you that, a screen should pop up telling you to stop the enemy spies!  You only have a short time to find the children, find the cute pig, and fix the defenses before the spies arrive.  You have to click and hold on gadgets to fill their repair gauge.  One the gauge is full, the gadget will be fixed!

Press the start button to begin.  You now have to quickly move around the house and get to all of the children and the pig and also hurry and “fix” all of the defenses (you can tell which one is a defense when it looks spy-like and the word fix should pop up when you hover your cursor over it).  This should include the TV, the plant with the flamethrower, and the lamp.

When you are done with this, this screen should pop up, telling you that you won!

You win a Flamethrower wand, and a Super Secret Video File, which is similar to the movie room from the Monsters, Inc. ad.  The video file shows a preview of the movie, which is often used as a commercial.  The Flamethrower wand shoots out fire, and it matches the color of your electrifier, if you have it on!  😀

    This new side ad is for the game “Nanovor” in which you build, create, and battle nano-bot like creatures online.
    Looks fun, but I think I won’t be playing it – you have to pay to get more out of the game. Check out their site here: Play Nanovors!

New Poptropica Updates!

  1. New Side Ad! (Credit to Bobitator of the PHF!)
    There’s a new side ad on Poptropica, for the Cartoon Network TV show “Total Drama Island” (which I think is a VERY dumb show :P). SHAME Creators! Check out its picture below. It appears whenever you change scenes. Poptropica must really be getting up there if they’re getting money from Cartoon Network…O_o

  2. New Store Items! (Credit to Bobitator (again? O_O) and The Storm from the PHF!) Introducing the “Snowman” and er.. “Snow Fall”!

    The Snowman costume is a…well..Snowman. With the Snow Fall, you can brighten up your gaming experience! It causes snow to fall from the top of your screen to the bottom, which is really cool. I don’t think either is worth spending Credits on though.

Creators' Blog Post: "At the Station"

Seriously Dr.Hare? I mean you really can’t talk about going to jail, you’ve been there yourself at least 10 times.

Anyway, back to the post. Isn’t that the kid from the Fuel Up Ad, minus the “UGH-OUR-SCHOOL-MENU-SUCKS” mouth? Just an observation. =D

This post is obviously referring to the infamous Counterfeit Island. Here’s what PHF member Shaggy Tornado had to say about it, and I agree:

i think i know what the plot is about! A thief stole a painting and left a forgery, a counterfeit (hence the name) and u have to look for the painting and the thief!

Sounds possible, right? But of course, there’d be lots of other things in the plot, not just what Shaggy thought. I think that Master Mime is the head honcho of some huge counterfeit operations, and we’ll have to take him down.

Creators' Blog Post "Now this is what I call art!"

In this other Counterfeit Island Sneak Peak from the Bard, we can obviously tell that:

  1. The Bard is inside an art museum
  2. The picture in the frame is obviously not the one that’s really there
    in Counterfeit Island
  3. This sneak peak further proves the “stolen painting” plot, stated above

The Binary translates to “The Scream”, a painting by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch.

Also, has anyone noticed that the Creators are posting ALOT? I mean did their free time just double or something?

New Ad: “Night at the Museum 2”!

New Poptropica Ad: "Night at the Museum 2"

OK, first of all: WHY WOULD ANYONE, IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WANT TO RE-ASSEMBLE A DINOSAUR? They’d have to have a death wish. “Oh thanks for putting me back together…I’ll just skip to the end of this and eat you.”

The goal of this ad is to find all of Rex’s Bones and re-assemble him. Once you do that, you get an awesome “Museum Guard” outfit, and Rex gets dinner. Works out for both of us, right? 🙂

S0me of you may remember how in my previous post I talked about finding a flashlight. When I posted about that on the PHF, member Serious Glove guessed that the flashlight would be apart of this ad! Congrats SG!

Before I end this post, I wanna say that I’ll be modifying The Poptroportex to include this ad!
