Wow! What happened to the PHB?

First of all, yes, this is still the same Poptropica Help Blog you’ve come to know and love. With the recent re-design of the PHN, I thought the blog could also do with a makeover that would make it more clean, easy to navigate, and eye-pleasing. Behold the new theme: Lifestyle!

And here’s the ‘before’ shot of the previous theme, Ocean Mist, in the same image dimensions:

Theme OceanMist

It might take some getting used to, but hopefully you’ll enjoy this new theme with its larger page navigation buttons, access to our other Poptropica Help networks at the top, wider screen, and more.

Leave some feedback to let us know what you dig and what you don’t! The new design is for the benefit of you, the reader, so we want to make sure you like it. If you’ve got suggestions, write a comment and we’ll look into it.

Also, there’s a new header up for the Christmas season, and it’s that time of the year again when “snow” falls on the blog! Plus, there’s new pages on the PHB for the Tribes of Poptropica, so go support your team! Hope you’re enjoying all the new changes! ๐Ÿ™‚

Full of flavor – that’s what the new PHN design and your Thanksgiving meal have in common!

Ladies and jellybeans, I present to you – the new design for the Poptropica Help Network! That’s where you can access all of our services and more.ย Check it out now!

As you may know, the PHB is only one part of our Poptropica Help community, the rest of which can be found onย PoptropicaHelp.net. The new layout lets you preview content before jumping right in, and it’s pretty easy to navigate. Hope you enjoy!

So, there’s another little gift to be thankful for this weekend. The Creatorsย sayย that they’reย grateful forย Pirates,ย Ninjas,ย Chocolate Factories,ย The Jersey Devil,ย Wimpy Kids,ย Carrots,ย Rail Travel,ย Angry Gods,ย Spacemen,ย Espionage, Horses, and YOU. Hey, if it weren’t for that last part, you’d almost think they were only trying to advertise some of their favorite islands! *clicks on Horses* Oh wait… ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and made it out alive from the intense crowds of Black Friday! But that’s only the beginning of the shopping season, isn’t it?

That’s why the PHB now has a new article titled Merchandise: A Guide to Poptropica Shopping! You can find it under Cool Stuff, and it lists all of Poptropica’s merch so it’s easy to find them all in one place if you’re looking for what to add to your wishlist.

Horse. I meant to say horse. But now my voice has gotten hoarse…

Bonus Items, Skullduggery Island

SkullBook – New Promo Code for Skull Pirate!

You’ve assembled your crew, bought the best ship that money can buy, and have prepared yourself a nice meal of crawfish and rum – but wait! You’re not ready to sail the briny seas until you’ve put on the Skull Pirate costume your mother bought you!

Just kidding about that last part. You can actually get this costume just by entering the promo code skullbook in the top-right corner of the Poptropica Store! So easy. Thanks to Meow for the tip.

This code, which should work for everyone, comes from reading the Funbrain sample of the Poptropica: Skullduggery Island book. Plus, you can press the spacebar to swing your skull-tastic sword around to ward off enemies! Fantastic.

Bonus Items, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Island, Membership, Merchandise

Oompa Loompa doom-pa-dee dee, if you are wise you’ll listen to me

Wow, the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Island sure snuck up on us quickly! Who’s ready to explore the factory?ย Samwow5 (Tough Icicle) was right on the top of his game and quickly had the walkthrough all written, with pictures included. If you’re stuck in a chocolate tube, you can use it for a little island help.

If you prefer, we’ve got a video playlist for CatCF as well. Members can play the whole island now, and non-members get a demo, but it’s out for everyone on December 6th. Sweet as Wonka’s whipple-scrumptious fudgemallow delight! ๐Ÿ˜€

Also, the third and final costume on the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Multi-Prize Card has been unlocked! Aaand… it’s a paper clock tower costume. What?

Thanks to Samwow5 for the picture. If you didn’t get it yet, the promo code (which you enter on the Poptropica Store’s top-right corner) is wimpy2012.

And now, there’s a new line of toys for your collection: the Poptropica Pocketeers! Say hello to Dark Astro-Knight, Hamburger, Dr. Hare, or Lion. These 2-inch buddies can be bought at Toys R Us and come with a code that will give you an exclusive prize on Poptropica, just like all the other Poptropica toys.

Get one for your birthday! I just turned 16 on Thursday (November 15th), thus making me over the 6-15 range for Poptropica accounts. Am I getting old or what? ๐Ÿ˜›

Astro-Knights Island, Bonus Items, Merchandise, Nintendo DS Game, Skullduggery Island

Paper King and Queen, DS Game Walkthrough available on the PHB, and new books out… sucker!

The second costume of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Multi-Prize Card has been unlocked!ย If you haven’t already, enter the promo code wimpy2012 on Poptropica to getย the new paperย kingย costume for boys, andย queenย for girls.

Thanks toย Michelleย and Samwow5 for the heads-up. If you already unlocked this promo code for the first costume, you can find the item card in your Store inventory. Just click on the now-unlocked “2” to customize from the new costume! Perhaps it’s for the Valentine’s Dance in the new book,ย The Third Wheel.

Poptropica’s been busy expanding their franchise, and earlier this week,ย they released their first Nintendo DS game, Poptropica Adventures! Here’s a shout-out to our friend Blake for writing the PHB’s walkthrough on the game, which can be found here under the Island Help page’s MiniQuests section.

On Thursday, Poptropica released four new books, which you can learn about on their official Books page. There’s Skullduggery Island and Astro-Knights Island, novels written about the islands’ plot. Pencil Warrior is a full-color doodle book, and Poptropica Mad Libs should be pretty self-explanatory if you’ve encountered Mad Libs before – fill in blanks to create nonsensical yet funny stories!

Oh and, don’t be offended by the “sucker” in the title… it’s not you! Just wanted to share a quick joke from PHB reader Daniel.ย Here it is.

Haha, hope that made you smile! Have a great weekend! ๐Ÿ˜€
