Hey Poptropicans, the butter is back! 😀

Issue #26 of our Poptropica fan magazine, known as The POPCORN, has just been released, with all sorts of Poptropica fan creations, including stories such as “Par of Poptropica” by Friendly Comet, artwork by Slippery Raptor, and more! As usual, this is available as a PDF.

To send in entries for The POPCORN, simply email us at [email protected], comment on this blog, or tweet us @Poptropica_Help. We’re looking for all kinds of Poptropica fan creations, including stories, fan art, comics, costumes, island ideas, and whatever else you can think of. We’ll also be scouring the web for some handpicked selections, including the We-Love-Poptropica deviantArt group (of which I’m an admin!). Remember to proofread your own submissions – your work is your responsibility! That being said, we’re always excited to see what you guys come up with. 😀

Hey Poptropicans!

Something new is on the horizon – and it’s more than just a caption stolen from the Daily Pop. In addition to the prison-themed island sneak peeks we’ve looked at before, September wraps up with even more glimpses of what’s to come, including what appears to be something like Alcatraz Island (a prison on an island) in San Francisco (noting the bridge), further confirming BT’s theory about the setting of this upcoming island. Next, there’s a new Monster High ad on Main Streets such as Early Poptropica! This one contains two videos. The left video gives you Catty’s Show Power (press spacebar to watch a few Monster High characters rocking out on a stage), and the video on the right awards a large-winged Luna Costume.

Recap: PHB’s gr8 8th birthday party for Poptropica!

As you may know, Poptropica has been celebrating their 8th birthday these past two weeks, and to join in the 8-bit festivities, this past Saturday the PHB invited all Poptropicans to join in for a party on the PHC and Poptropica! Thanks to all those who came; we hope you’d r8 it 8/8!

Don’t all those balloons look so orn8? With birthday balloons of various colors (and similar-looking musical trees) filling up the several Multiverse rooms we had going on, plus fireworks being set off as players competed in games and got turned into pixel pigs, the party rooms were definitely very lively (and laggy, because Poptropica can’t handle our partying 😉 ).

Over on the PHC (the PHB’s official Poptropica Help Chat), Poptropicans enjoyed chatting with each other, got to meet a few PHB authors (UiPE, BT, Sam, Slip, and yours truly were there!), and even had some fun on the Doodle feature with Poptropica artists like MasterPinpey!

The party went on for a few hours, and it was great to see many of you there! For those who couldn’t come, as well as those who had a fun time, remember the PHC is always open – not just during PHB parties – and we welcome you there to hang out with other Poptropicans anytime! You can access it via xat.com/thePHC or by clicking “Chat” in the navigation bar at the top of the PHB’s site.

Hey Poptropicans! In celebr”8″on of Poptropica’s 8th birthday, you’re invited to a chat-and-Multiverse party with the Poptropica Help community on the PHC, where we’ll be sharing Multiverse room codes, hanging out with each other, and having a gr8 time! Here are the details to know:

WHO: Calling all Poptropicans!
WHAT: Partying and playing games in Multiverse rooms on Poptropica, and chatting on the PHC
WHEN: Saturday, September 26th @ 8pm EST / 7pm CST / 6pm MST / 5pm PST (for those who don’t live in America, use a time converter to check when that’ll be in your time zone! In some parts of the world, it may be Sunday morning rather than Saturday night.)
WHERE: the Poptropica Help Chat (PHC) – click here to access it!
WHY: We’re celebr8ing Poptropica being around for 8 years!

For those who are unfamiliar with the PHC, that’s the Poptropica Help Chat, the official PHB hangout. It’s a great place to chat with other Poptropicans anytime, not just when we’ve got a party going on, and sometimes you might even get to talk with PHB staff!

The chat is moderated for safety and we do have rules to maintain harmony, so be sure to familiarize yourself with our chat policy and ranks on our Chat page, which you can find by clicking “Chat” in the menu above. Also, it’s okay to chat about other topics besides Poptropica while you’re on the PHC!

The last prize of the Timmy Failure Island giveaway has been released, and it’s a code! You can enter the promo code LOSTPANTS to receive 75 credits – which you can then use to buy a new item from the Store! The Creators have added two new items you can buy — the billowing Timmy Failure Scarf (for everyone) and the Greatness Flag (members only*).

Over on the Poptropica mobile app, you can now pick up a free color-changing 8th Birthday Balloon! (Thanks to FairyTale for the tip.) It will be released soon for the online version too, but not until at least September 15th according to a tweet from Poptropica. (Unless you have the Balloons item from the Store – then it’s part of the package! Thanks to Shaggy Tornado for that tip.)

(UPDATE) To pump up the excitement for 8th birthday celebrations, Poptropica also shared this gif of a jumping pixel pig on their blog (you may recognize this creature, but without the party hat and “8” marking, from Early Poptropica Island)!
