Bringing Mighty Action Force cards to life: 4-Player Edition 💥🃏

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Invisible Ring. Enjoy!

It’s a bird? It’s a plane?  No, it’s me! Invisible Ring, creator of the REAL-LIFE Mighty Action Force card game, has RETURNED!

That’s right, readers! This Poptropican was but a fellow Mighty Action Force fan, who emerged from PoptropiCon Island and forged her OWN Mighty Action Force card game that she could play in real life, anytime and anywhere she wanted… then shared it with the PHB online, so that EVERYONE can print out and play their own Mighty Action Force game, too. (There’s also an Astro-Knights edition!)

But she had not yet shared ALL of her Mighty Action Force games, which brings us to the here and now. If you’re already acquainted with these games, then you may be looking for a bigger challenge. Heck, you may even be itching to play this game with more than one player at a time. And that is where the 4-PLAYER Mighty Action Force game comes in! Download below:

Packed with new cards, new rules, and new game variations, this third and final edition of my real-live MAF series not only provides a new mighty challenge but brings all other Mighty Action Force games together — perfect for parties and family fun!

Some assembly required. This offer is invalid where prohibited, some restrictions may apply, batteries not included.

Check out the demo of the multiplayer game in action:

If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comment section below. Otherwise, enjoy the Mighty Action Force games!

Fanfic: The Black Hare, Part 1

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Pink Star. Enjoy!

High on the Hog: Eat, drink, and be merry.

THE BLACK HARE
A Poptropica Fanfiction Story

Hello fellow Poptropican, my name is the Black Hare. But most people call me Harrie. You probably know my parents, Dr. Hare and the Black Widow. Yeah. The villains. But don’t worry, I’m not gonna kidnap you and mind control you. I’m not gonna steal your art either. Much to my parents’ disgust, I’m all about doing good. That’s where my story starts. But before I get to that, let me give you a brief backstory.

Fifteen years ago, you and Amelia made a potion then you gave it to the villains as a drink. They drank it, but little did they know, if they ever had children, the potion would make them good. Fortunately, all the villains kids were born after the potion was made so they were all good!

Unfortunately, the villains found out about the potion, and made a new one to turn their kids evil. None of the kids knew about the potion, so everyone drank it. Everyone… except… me. I heard Mom and Dad talking about it. (Villains talk VERY loud.)

I loved being nice. I held the door for others at school, fed the birds, and did my chores. So I didn’t drink anything unless I was sure I knew what it was for the whole month. I acted all nasty in front of Mom and Dad, and my ‘friends’ (that turned evil overnight, so I wasn’t quite friends with them. But with other people and when by myself, I was nice. It was hard living like that.

That was when I was seven. Now that I’ve turned 13, I’m an official villain, and it has been 15 years since my parents drank that potion.

For six years, I never had the courage to tell them I was good. But now that I’m a teenager, I feel ready. After all, I am their daughter… what’s the worst they can say?

Over on our Poptropica Music page, we’ve gathered a huge collection of Poptropica soundtracks, sorted by islands, for you to enjoy. They’re embedded right on the page, so simply hit the play button under each title to listen! ▶️ Here are a few of my personal favorites:

🌀 Carnival Ride – Poptropica Theme (download)

🧞 Genie Dance — from Arabian Nights Island (download)

👾 Mega Fighting Bots – Battle – Orchestral Variation (download)

🏅 Poptropolis Games Main Theme (download)

😜 Washington DC Lengthened — from Goofball Island (download)

Not only can you listen and even download tracks right on our Poptropica Music page, you can also save them to your personal devices!

⬇️ Download all the music files below and more, as a selection or all at once, via our folder of Poptropica OST (Original Soundtrack) mp3 files.

If you save them to your computer, you can then import them into your music player app of choice. From there, you may also sync your imported files to your other devices, such as a phone or tablet, to listen to the tracks whenever and wherever you like. 📲

Bunk: Perhaps you, too, will love the 90s.

We hope this music collection helps you relive the magic of Poptropica! A huge shout-out goes to Jeff Heim, Poptropica’s main music composer who created so many of these melodies. Enjoy the tunes! 🩵🎵

🏆 Poppies 2024: Nominate Now!

Another year, another summer… another Poppies! 🥳🌞🏆

The Poppies are our fan-hosted award event for Poptropica fans. During the weeks leading up to the PHB’s birthday on July 26, readers can nominate and vote for their favorites in various categories. We’ll conclude with a party and livestream announcing the results!

After going over your feedback for how to approach the 9th annual Poppies, the votes ended in favor of keeping the event as it was, with a mix of categories about the game itself and the fandom beyond. 🎈

We’re now kicking off with a nomination round, where you are invited to suggest the contestants for each category! This round starts now and ends next Sunday, July 14. Nine awards for 9 years of Poppies — let’s go!

Poptropica Awards

Wax Eloquent: The stars never fade away, they may only melt.

Best Boss Fight: From the massive robot in Legendary Swords, to Mordred’s epic mecha in Astro-Knights, Poptropica is full of its own unique and challenging battles! Which was the most memorable?

🐹 Cutest Character: We’re not asking for the coolest or most villainous — for this award, we want you to tell us which character is the most adorable! (This applies only to NPCs, not user avatars.)

😭 Most Tearjerking Moment: Between Poptropica’s many adventures, you may find some bittersweet moments. From the story of the deceased in Ghost Story, to Annabelle and Count Bram’s end in Vampire’s Curse, what moments gave you pause? (This applies to all canon material, including the graphic novels.)

🎵 Classic Island Most Deserving of an Original Soundtrack: Islands released before 2013 (known as AS2) had no music, except for a few that were later updated. Which of the silent classic islands would you wish to get their own soundtrack?

Community Awards

Supersonic: You will know our velocity.

🎨 Best Fan Art of the Year: And here come the artists! As always, there are still plenty of works to choose from within the past year, showcasing the fandom’s passion and talent. Browse across social media, the pop-art channel in our Discord server, and our DeviantArt group for potential candidates! (Anything published on/after July 2023 is eligible.)

📷 Best Fan Video of the Year: While the hype hasn’t been as big this year, some Poptropicans have continued to upload their video creations, ranging from in-game movies to discussions of the game’s history. Which clips were the most impressive? (Anything published on/after July 2023 is eligible.)

🖼 Best Animation/Animatic: A new arts category suggested by some PHB readers! This showcases a more specific type of fan video than the category above. (Works of any publication date are eligible.)

👗 Best Costume Submission: We’ve voted for the Best Costume Contest Winner before, but what about all those left in the slush pile? Which of the monthly costume contest entries do you wish had made it into the game but didn’t? Let’s give them another chance to shine! (Works of any publication date are eligible.)

🔎 Most Likely Popspiracy: Our Popspiracy series has hosted a range of wild conspiracy theories, ranging from the plausible to the downright preposterous! From all these interesting ideas, which do you think is the most likely to be true? (Works of any publication date are eligible.)

💃 POPPIES PARADE! 🕺
