Potential for LEGO Poptropica – starting with Dr. Hare’s Lair

You like LEGO. You like Poptropica. Mix them together (and I don’t mean just your average ad building) and now you’ve got something extraordinarily creative! Poptropica’s Creators have unveiled their idea for a Poptropica LEGO set, featuring Dr. Hare’s lair from 24 Carrot Island:

So cool, la! But before you get too excited, they need our help. To get LEGO to consider the project, it needs 10,000 supporters. If you like what you see, or you just want bragging rights to be able to say “I helped Lego Poptropica! They’d be nowhere without me! Mwahahaha!” – then visit the LEGO CUUSOO site and vote for their project!

All you need to do is be logged in (you can either sign up or connect to Facebook or Twitter) and click the big green “Support” button. If you’re under 13, you’ll need to get someone older to vote for you. While you’re there, you can also read about the design, see more pictures, and post a comment.

The entrance to Dr. Hare’s Lab features a security camera and sliding door to ensure that only authorized bunny drones can enter Dr. Hare’s Lair. The Command Console includes satellite antenna, swivel chair, supercomputer, and, of course, extra carrots for those mid-afternoon snack attacks.

The Giant Rabbot is a massive, space-faring attack bunny that is just crying out to enslave the minds of 24 Carrot Island’s citizens. The Giant Rabbot includes flick-fire missiles, movable head, arms and ears, and even space for a passenger – perhaps one wearing a pink bunny suit…

I was the 154th supporter! Let’s bring this idea to reality! 😀

Poptropolis Games Island

Poptropolis Games… gone forever?

A moment of silence for Poptropolis Games…

My fellow Poptropicans, it is on this day that the beloved Poptropolis Games have sunk into the sea. May it rest in peace. I have a statement from the Creators here telling us about their grievances over this island “death.”

Right up until the last minute, we hoped it was a rumor. But it happened — the Poptropolis Games have returned to the seas from whence they came.

Will the Poptropolis Games ever come back to the surface? Let’s hope so!

Here lies the grave of Poptropolis. But wait! There’s a message that was left for us!

Legend

“Legend tells of a mysterious Island upon which Poptropica’s greatest athletes compete for tribal supremacy. Will the Poptropolis Games ever rise again?”

And this little notice on the Poptropolis Games Island Tour page:

Sunk

There may be hope yet that it isn’t dead! Why? On the members cards, it says Poptropolis 2012. This may not be the only year that they rise. Also, as Slanted Fish said, it could follow the time of the Olympics and other ideas sugest that Poptropica Time is faster than ours. And even more shocking news!

The Games Forever and myself have access to the island because we saved our characters. IF you happened to save yours on the Island, there’s STILL TIME for your medal to be won!

Any last words for Poptropolis Island? Leave them in the comments!

With a last tearful goodbye for the Poptropolis Games,

~Shaggy ;(

Poptropolis Games Island

Odds are not in favor of Poptropolis Games Island

January 24th is fast approaching, and you know what this means: Poptropolis Games Island will be sinking back into the sea. We don’t know why the Creators would take down the tribal tournament island, or if/when we’ll ever see it again… even the Plant-a-Statue isn’t too happy about the news.

The island’s description says that this ancient Poptropica capital rises “once every 100 years”… but what does that mean? If we’re to take that literally, we’d all be old or dead in a century. Some might think Poptropica years operate faster than Earth’s, but then what about the annually-updated time device on Time Tangled that reflects the current year here?

You may have noticed your Poptropolis item cards saying “Poptropolis Games 2012” at the top. Another theory is that perhaps the island will rise during Olympic years – after all, Poptropolis Games opened around the same time as the 2012 London Olympic Games, so maybe we’ll see the island again for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Hotel Transylvania ad: Clean up this mess!

There’s an ad for Hotel Transylvania on Poptropica Main Streets for the Blu-Ray Combo Pack and DVD coming out on January 29th. You can find it on islands such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Thanks to Loud Shark for the video walkthrough and Samwow5 for his help on the written guide!

You can use the video above to help you, or read the written walkthrough here:

Go inside the ad building. Dracula is at the door, and he’ll tell you that the place has to be cleaned up before dinner. Enter through the door with the paw prints on it. The instructions tell you to find the wolf pups and clean up in there. When you get inside, the pups are making a mess everywhere! Run around the restaurant and click on all 8 pups before all the plates break.

Now you have to clean up the mess they made. Click on all the places where the pups were dropping plates and pans (don’t forget the table and floor stains!) and you win a Werewolf Pup Costume and a Dracula Costume (boys) or Mavis Costume (girls)!

New Poptropica Books for 2013

Cryptids IslandAmazon now lists four new titles of Poptropica books, which we can expect to see this year! The first two, Cryptids Island and Lunar Colony Island, are novels based on their online counterparts, and the cover art is already up! Look at that furry Bigfoot! He sure has some Bighands. Now let’s see the Jersey Devil. 😛

Island Creator Kit, which shows how an island gets created from scratch, sounds very promising – Creators, REVEAL YOUR SECRETS! And look, it’s written by Hades (Mitch). Lastly, Friends Handbook sounds like one to be shared with your best buds.
