24 Carrot BETA Carrotene Island is now available!
Let the testing begin! 24 Carrot BETA Carrotene Island is now available to Poptropica Members. This is your chance to get a sneak preview of the next generation of Poptropica, while also helping us make important improvements.
To play 24 Carrot BETA Carrotene Island, grab the Gold Card from the Poptropica Store (pictured above). Or just click on the slide on your Welcome Back page. The beta test is for Poptropica Members only, so if you’re not a Member, find out how to become a Member today!
Remember, although there are a lot of new features to try out, like a soundtrack and a bigger screen, the beta is still missing some things you’re used to, like the costumizer and the ability to save your game. Fear not, those features will be returning!
Also, the cursor is not staying that way.
So head on over to Poptropica to play 24 Carrot BETA Carrotene Island and check out all the great new features we’ve got coming up!
CAPTAIN CRAWFISH
So I got the chance to play BETA Carrotene, and let me tell you- it was rather different. First of all, I am in love with the music and the mood it sets (my favorites tracks are the Factory Exterior and Dystopia Main Street tracks). The sound effects are cool, when they’re not annoying (ahem, the mouse in the sewage pipes).
However, while playing BETA, I noticed that the maneuvering of my character as compared to the background is a little off. I found myself shifting different directions a couple of times and at times I found my character frozen (especially after playing the minigame where you crash Dr. Hare’s rabbot into the asteroids, but he unfroze after a period of ime), but these glitches can be fixed later. After all, it IS a beta test, so it isn’t going to be perfect. Well, the good news is that from my perspective, the island is, luckily, playable. Glitchy, but playable.
Also, is it me, or does it look creepy when the characters’ eyes go all like this when they talk?:

Also, it seems that the Creators caught our annoyance with the common room cursor and stated “Also, the cursor is not staying that way,” in its own separate paragraph. Phew, that’s a relief.
What do you guys think?
BT out!
