LEGO Poptropica

Launch Rabbot (paper craft)

In the quest for 10k supporters on LEGO CUUSOO (currently close to 8,500!), Poptropica has released another paper craft to match the previous Dr. Hare construction. Just print out the new and totally rad Rabbot PDF, then cut, fold, and paste as needed, and you’ll have your very own robot rabbit!

Remember, Jeff Kinney (& co) is counting on you. And until we reach ten thousand, he’s the only one who gets to have a “Dr. Hare’s Lair” set, so be sure to vote!

In other news, today’s the day of the PHB’s 5 Years & 9m Hits Party on our Poptropica Help Chat (the PHC)! Click here for the specific time and other details, and we hope to see you there! :]

Contests, Merchandise

Whodat say day create dem own island?

You might be wondering, “Why did Angry Wing name his post in such a strange way?” Well, the answer to that is, well, um, next question. You remember the Poptropica books, right? In particular, there’s the Island Creator Kit – which may come in handy for the Create Your Dream Poptropica Island Contest!

Here’s the real story. Starting August 1, anyone  can “create” an island and send it to the Creators for evaluation. One lucky winner, just one, will have their island created and put on the map. (Literally, on the Poptropica Map.) Buying the Island Creator Kit might help you get started with some ideas. After seeing a few comments, I am clarifying: there is no purchase necessary.

How exciting! I will be partaking in the contest, but if anyone needs a little inspiration or help as well, so to speak, here’s my card. (I don’t really have a card.)

You can find the entry form here.

Black Widow finishes off with “Keep an eye out for more information about the rules and how to enter. And for the inside scoop on how to design a winning Island, check out the Island Creator Kit, coming on August 1!”

Any questions, class? 🙂

On another note, my blog Just Cuz Its Friday needs your help deciding on a new logo. The candidates and the voting can be found here. Please help us out by voting!

Thank you, and goodbye!

PHB Parties

5 years + 9 million hits = PHB Party!

The party has ended, but you can read about it in our recap. Hope you had fun!

5Y9M Party

Previously known as Author Night, this year’s annual PHB party will be in celebration of our five years of existence and the recent milestone of 9 million hits! The Poptropica Help Blog turns 5 on July 26, 2013, and everyone’s invited to join in the party, so here are the details!

  • WHO: You! PHB authors, commenters, and readers! Everyone!
  • WHAT: A Poptropica party where you’ll get to hang out with PHB authors and fans! Bring your color-changing Poptropica 5th birthday balloons, fireworks, or musical instruments if you can. Chat on the PHC, create Multiverse rooms, play games, hang out, have fun!
  • WHEN: Friday, July 26, 2013 @ 8pm Eastern / 7pm Central / 6pm Mountain / 5pm Pacific (find out which time zone you live in and plan accordingly – if none of these apply, use a converter)
  • WHERE: Our Poptropica Help Chatroom (PHC), which you can access by clicking “Chat” in the navigational bar at the top of this blog or by typing in xat.com/thephc. The chat will be moderated, so it’s safe, and any rule-breaking will result in a kick or ban, so please don’t spoil the fun.
  • WHY: Celebrating the PHB’s 5th anniversary and 9 million hits!

There’ll probably be a recap on the blog afterwards, so you might be in it! Let us know in the comments if you have any questions. Here’s to a great time! :]

Nano-Combat Training now available!

Hey guys, BT here. Now, when I went on Poptropica at about 1:50ish EST, I discovered this new card in the Poptropica Store:

nano-combat training

Now, before you go into the store to see for yourself, let me tell you: it isn’t there anymore. Before this card was pulled off the Poptropica Store shelf, there was an ad for it on the home page (I didn’t take a screenshot of it), and I was curious enough to check it out.

However, when I tried to access this minigame, all it did was bring me into BETA Carrotene. This is really odd.

UPDATE 1 : Fuzzy-B mentions that this “Training Sim” Daily Pop could be a sneak peek for this nanobot-battling simulation game, brought to you by the Poptropica Disease Center (PDC):

UPDATE 2: This quest is now available for real for members. It actually involves the sound and larger screen. And just to warn you in advance- it is like Thunder Volt. Here’s a video from the Creators:

UPDATE 3: The PHB now has a guide for this mini-game, which you can check out here! 😀

BT out!

Lost Levels of Poptropica

Recently the Daily Pop has been showcasing various images of three-storied rooms all with the caption “One of the lost levels of Poptropica” – implying, from what it seems, that these were ideas that never made it into the game. Perhaps they were going to be island common rooms or Multiverses?

Future Fest – This one has a bit of that Game Show Island feel to it.

Fantasy Forest – Reminds me of the Enchanted Forest Multiverse room. An alternate version, maybe?

Country Cabin – A quaint log cabin for the great outdoors… but where in Poptropica?

Ice House – Looks like it could’ve come out of the Ice Planet from Astro-Knights.

[POST UPDATE] Water World – Ooh, an aquarium. Maybe it was for Shark Tooth, seeing the trees.

Reminds me of an old image that surfaced more than four years ago, yet another lost level…

What do you think of all these lost levels? Will the Creators release them in the future, or are they going to be locked away in cyberspace forever? Leave a comment and tell us your favorite!
