This is a guest post from Serious Heart sharing their My Place in Poptropica story, which is all about oneโs Poptropica journey. Enjoy!
Hello everyone! Serious Heart here. I’m not back with the first chapter of The Chronicles of Friendly Thunder yet… please bear with me. ๐ Anyway, I’m doing a My Place in Poptropica story.
My username is kh14129335, and I’m mostly active on the weekends if you’d like to friend me. Well then. Let’s get started with the story.
2016 | Scrolling Past Ads
In 2016, I remember seeing ads for a game called Poptropica. At the time, I scrolled past them with disinterest. But four years later, I came upon the game again…
Wheel Talk: We can go around and around on this all day.
2020โ2021 | Discovering the Game
I re-discovered the game in the late summer or early fall of 2020. I’m not sure exactly how, but I am pretty sure I was looking up “Wimpy Kid games” on the Wimpy Kid fandom, when I saw either Wimpy Wonderland or Wimpy Boardwalk on it.
A couple of days later, I saw an ad for Poptropica on Coolmath Games and decided to check it out. I saw seven characters I could choose from. I picked the “Old School” one, and voila, I ended up in some clubhouse. After learning about how to decorate my clubhouse, I went out and then completed Snagglemast Island.
“Old School”
Next up, Time Tangled! I earned that medallion. Then…Timmy Failure. I probably replayed that the most times. I’ve memorized how to beat it. Then I saw the remastered Mythology Island with a “Coming Soon” sign on it, then later saw it released. One of my most embarrassing memories is how long it took me to complete it.
I loved Poptropica for almost all of 2021. Then, I left Poptropica… because of a really, really crappy reason. You see, it was after Goofball Island had been released. I had introduced my sister to the game, and we decided not to save her account until after we completed Goofball. We were on the boss battle with Anna Gram… then the screen froze. My sister assured me that it was okay, but I was so mad, I quit the game.

Late 2022 | Rediscovering the Game
I found the game again almost a year later, in October 2022. Then I found out a lot had happened when I was gone. Like, Jade Scarab had been released.
In November 2022, I discovered the PHB. At the time, the newest post was the sixth part of a fanfic called The Witch’s Heart. I decided I wanted to make a fanfiction like that, but I didn’t have the courage to do so.
2023โpresent | A Big Year
2023 is a big year for me. In January, I finally found the courage to comment on the blog. In February, I found Dizzy Feather’s Poptropica Blog and changed my Poptropica name to Serious Heart.
The Help: With an attitude like that, you’ll go far.
In March, not much happened. But in April, I filled out an application form to be an author on Dizzy Feather’s blog. And the next morning, I was shocked to see an invite from Dizzy Feather, inviting me to be a contributor!
In May, I read through The Witch’s Heart again, and that sparked an idea I had wanted to get out of my head. That’s how The Chronicles of Friendly Thunder came to be.
I don’t know where I’ll go next, but I sure am excited to find out!
Hope you enjoyed this โMy Place in Poptropicaโ story! If you did, youโll probably enjoy our other MPIP stories here on the PHB.
If you havenโt already shared your story, we invite you to send in your own. Interested in writing for the PHB under a different Pop-topic? Take a look at our Write for the PHB page for ideas, guidelines, and more!
Hey Poptropicans, this is aย guest postย by Serious Heart.ย Enjoy!
Over the Top: Things are looking up.
Hello! This is Serious Heart again, this time with the prologue of a new story, The Chronicles of Friendly Thunder. I hope you enjoy it!
FADE IN.
NARRATOR:
Our story begins on the quiet island of Early Poptropica. A thirteen-year-old boy named Friendly Thunder is studying for his math test. Well then. Let’s begin!
Look at this stuff, isn’t it neat? A cavern of wonders awaits on Home Island, promoting Disney’s upcoming live action remake of The Little Mermaid.
Thanks to Dizzy Feather for the tip and pics!
Head inside and Ariel will invite you to help her find a thingamabob. Borrowing from the mechanisms of Poseidon’s realm in Mythology Island, this mini-game will have you swimming around an underwater maze, avoiding eels and grabbing at oxygen bubbles along the way.
You can also collect 15 coins scattered throughout the cave, but they’re not necessary to complete the quest. Soon enough, you’ll make it to the bottom-left corner, where you’ll find the treasure: a dinglehopper! ๐ด
You’ll win a Trident & Mertail and a Sebastian Follower. When you press the space bar, the crabby character spits lines from The Little Mermaid. ๐ฆ Enjoy the sea views, and sea you later!
The seaweed is always greener In somebody else’s lake

Episode Three: To the Sky!
The sky outside a certain theater is a darkening blue, with stripes of gold and pink clouds slashing through the sky. The small mountains in the distance are a beautiful greenish blue color and if you just look up, up, up, the crescent shaped moon glows slightly.
But then if you look down, down at the city, youโd see that it is blueish also. How could a city be so blue? It isnโt raining, or floodedโฆ
