Hey guys, Spotted Dragon here with another Twitter roundup, as well as a Capri Sun ad, among other things (hehe, my post title rhymes)! There have been lots of things posted on Twitter that are worth mentioning, so let’s get started!

First up, have you met all these Poptropicans? The whole Shark Boy to Shark Guy cover-up was pretty smooth. 😎 Also, you may notice that Master Mime is now female! Not sure when that happened… Anyway, tell us who your favorite Poptropican is in the comments below!

Next up, we have a behind the scenes look at some more decor in Poptropica HQ! Obviously this related to Legendary Swords, even though that entire arc has been abandoned. However, Jessica does say “Well, you never know!” 😉

Coming to an end with this Twitter roundup, a pro tip for Poptropicans everywhere: no need for bribes in any contest. Yep, apparently someone sent in a very tempting $5 when entering a recent Poptropica contest. No need to worry though, the money was sent back. XD

Daily Pops: Why aren’t they daily anymore?

Hey folks, Cobalt here!

Today, I’m going to be making a discussion post for you Poptropicanos to converse about. I’ve been noticing the community is more art-bent than anything lately (not like that’s a bad thing! 😛 ). I love all the artists and musicians here, but I feel as if we should talk about the actual game features and the problem I’ve been noticing with them as well. 😀

More specifically, the so-called Daily Pop.

If you’re like me, it’s your favorite feature. If you like theorizing over the sneak peeks, it definitely is. Though, are they really keeping up with their name?

The Daily Pop isn’t daily anymore. To me, it feels as if they just upload a sneak peek when they have a sneak peek to upload. That isn’t daily at all! Also, the Celebrity Clips haven’t been updated in years, along with the side games they have to offer. What’s up with that?

The infamous Poptropica comic was from Monday to Friday weekly, and I give it that. Though, it did come to its temporary end in November while Kory Merrit is working on the novels. Hate to be harsh, but not daily.

And yes, while I understand they’re busy and whatnot, and they do have our best interests at heart with other things like rad items and groovy islands, (yes, I just said groovy), I do feel as if the Daily Pop should either step up its game, or reinvent itself and give it a different name. 😛

What they have to offer to us is truly great, but maybe they shouldn’t be called the Daily Pop anymore. What do you think? Discuss in the comments! 🙂

Mining for… Cobalt?

Sorry, it’s not poptanium. But it is a new author.

Hey folks, I’m Spencer! Upon joining the PHB, I’ve created a new alias, “Cobalt Spinner.” You can call Cobalt, however. 😛 I’ve contributed to the Poptropica Help Network many times over the years, and I’m so happy to finally be able to contribute as an author here on the PHB! As cliché as this is, it really is a dream come true.

spencerpixel I can’t wait to post updates and announcements for you guys, it really is going to be a blast, and something I’ve thought about immensely and for a long, long time. 😀

I work for Orb Legend as a game developer, but more specifically, I code and work with sprites. I dabble with a bit of everything, including the story, but those are really my priorities. Giant Hawk is also planning to have me in his adventurously brilliant new series, the GHA! (Considering they take place in the same timeline. 😉 )

Hey Poptropicans, it’s Blake, and… I have some bad news.

It’s been a long time coming, but I believe now it’s finally time for me to make this announcement. Poptropicans, as much as I hate to say this, it’s time for me to move on. I’ve grown up. I’ve lost interest. People always do at some time. But I’m proud to have had the opportunity to grow alongside you, every step of the way. We’ve been together for almost 3 years now, can you believe it?
