So… Which one of you gave Dr. Hare a map to the entire Poptropica universe?? Look at that smug bucktoothed grin on that evil pink bunny-suited hooligan’s face. Look at how his green goggles emanate a childlike excitement over that X which marks the spot. Dominion over Poptropica will soon be his…
Nah, that’s not it. All this was just to say: The new map is now available on the Poptropica app! For more about the new map, check out this PHB post. It covers island difficulty, your progress, and amount of times you’ve finished an island. And it’s Dr. Hare-approved.
Oh, you wanted to see another cute Poptropica critter? Well… rats. This is the only Daily Pop that showed up during the month of May… UPDATE: A week later, the rat appears to have been animated in a second Daily Pop for the month of May! (slow clap)
Oh Rats: Too busy around here for sneak peeks! Honest!
It Moves: Only took a week.
Yeahhh… that excuse is old news. But hey, what is up with this rat’s design? Is… is this going to be the art style of New Poptropica? It certainly doesn’t look like anything we’ve seen before in current Poptropica. Or was it just a preliminary sketch that a Creator found and uploaded to give us something to look at? Share your speculations in the comments!
By the way, if you’re looking for a way to jump into the Poptropica community, check in on the PHC, the PHB’s chat hangout! With lots of channel topics, friendly faces, and Poptropica parties, it’s a great place to meet other Poptropicans (and even PHB staff!). See you there!
Include the meme face you would like on your Poptropican in your comment (a link to an image of the meme is very preferred).
Post your comment and wait! (PMFM is operated on a first come-first serve basis, so your meme face will come after all of the ones before are released).
Just a note: You do not need to re-comment on newer posts if you haven’t gotten yours yet. Once I reply to your comment mentioning “You being added to the list,” then I have seen your comment and added it to my literal list, so yours will be made after each one before is made.
This completes round twenty-seven of meme faces. Tune in next Monday for the next Poptropican Meme Face Mondays!
What do you think about this week’s meme faces? Comment below.
Welcome everyone to the second round of Stolen Snapshots!
For the newbies, Stolen Snapshots is basically a hide-and-seek game that tests your knowledge of Poptropica scenery, and it’s up to you to guess where each picture is from!
I’ve seen that a lot of you had a hard time guessing those tricky snapshots that I’ve left last month. What’s more depressing is that none had perfected the snapshots! I wouldn’t want you to wait this long so, here are the answers for last month’s snapshots!
Answers for April 2016:
24 Carrot Island, a recolored version of the carrot cake in the billboard in front of the factory.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Island, one of the hanging pots inside the Inventing Room.
Mocktropica, a painting inside the common room: The Blue Locust.
Red Dragon Island, in East Edo, the bird on top of the shogun statue.
Vampire’s Curse Island, inside a hole in the Great Hall (accessed by members only).
Night Watch Island, near the shark tank inside Crawl Mart.
Mocktropica, on top of the cheese factory.
Shrink Ray Island, one of the windows in the cafeteria.
Virus Hunter Island, Joe Stockman’s stove in his apartment.
Monster Carnival Island, one of the crates in front of the big tent.
Here are *some* of the winners from last month. Since there was none who guessed them all correctly, here are the ones who guessed at least one correct answer! Congratulations!
Tall Cactus with 1 correct answer!
Short Feather with 1 correct answer!
Pinku Randomness with 2 correct answers!
Creepy Goose with 6 correct answers!
Another thing: I want to ask is that if you guys prefer to have this monthly or biweekly. I am considering this so that a lot of people can play Stolen Snapshots because if it’ll be monthly, the game could get buried underneath a lot of posts. If it’s biweekly, it’ll be quite hard when school gets busy, but it’ll be better for you guys. Would you like it to be that way or nah? Leave your suggestions below!
Now, let’s move on to this month. Ten snapshots might’ve been too difficult, so I’ve reduced the number down to 5 — although, the number of snapshots may vary each month!
Stolen Snapshots: May 2016
Make sure to read the mechanics down below, as well as the reward for correctly guessing them all!
Mechanics:
You are only allowed to have 1 answer for each picture. You may leave your guesses in the comments of the post or the PHB’s Stolen Snapshots page.
If the answer is wrong, you can try and comment again.
There are 5 winners each month, to be featured in the next post.
Anything unrelated to the snapshots will not be accepted.
Of course, enjoy the game!
Reward 🏆
Check back next month to see if you made it to the Top 5! All of the winners will get a chance to be immortalized on the Stolen Snapshots page, right here on the PHB!
So, decide the fate of Stolen Snapshots by commenting down below and you can now start guessing in 3…2…1… GO! 🙂
This is the My Place in Poptropica story of TeenArachnid, aka Happy Panda, who enjoys participating within the PHB community. See the bottom of this post for details on sending in your own MPIP!
Hello Poptropicans! It is I, Teen Arachnid (previously known as Happy Panda)! This is my MPIP post. My name is Teen Arachnid, but my PHB account is teenarachnidpoptropica. Anyway, I love Poptropica, Flipline, Marvel, DC Comics, and Lego. Oh yeah, and I love the PHB! Also, I am not the actual Teen Arachnid from PoptropiCon Island. Well, here we go:
2009-2010 | The Discovery
For me, it started when I was in my gifted class during kindergarten. Some fifth graders introduced me to the Duck Song, Duck Life, and… POPTROPICA! Now really quickly, I want to thank them for showing it to me, or I wouldn’t be on Poptropica today. Now where was I, oh yes! I created a weird account, with a weird username I can’t remember. But for a 6 year old, I kicked butt while playing Poptropica!
2011-2012 | The Crappy Computer
Since I couldn’t remember my username, I created a new account. I was still in love with Poptropica at this age, but sadly, I could hardly play it at that time. My parents had a very old computer, and if I was on Poptropica for 10 minutes, the computer would freeze up and stop working for an hour. I could only play it for about 30 minutes a week, which is very little time for me. So in that time, I played games that didn’t make my computer crash: games from Flipline Studios. I highly recommend that gaming site to you.
2013-2014 | New Computer, New Accounts, and the Best Discovery
Fortunately, my parents eventually fixed the computer so I could play Poptropica longer than I could previously. I created four accounts, but right now I can only remember the usernames and passwords for two of them. But anyway, during this time, I was able to complete many islands.
One day, I was stuck on Time Tangled Island. So I got online, and after a quick search, I found what I considered one of my best discoveries: the Poptropica Help Blog! I created a WordPress account (to comment on blogs like the PHB) called Jugger Kid, and if you look in the PHB archives from 2013-14, you may find some comments from me!
2015 | PHB Fanboy
I began to love the PHB so much that I would find myself on the PHB about ten times a day. For a while I commented under the name Blazeberry Comma, but after a while I decided I didn’t like it so much. So I renamed myself Happy Panda, my Poptropican’s name.
During the PHB’s first ever Poppies event, I got a couple mentions on the Poppies broadcast. Also, I was that one guy who put whoopee cushions all of the Multiverse Room during the Poptropica party! I also got one of my stories in the PHB’s Popcorn magazine (issue #25, if you’d like to see it), which was a huge honor for me. Finally, I contributed a picture to the PHB’s Escape From Pelican Rock Guide (the one with the bar that told you where the cop was while you were in your cell).
2016 – beyond | So Far This Year, and Future Dreams
So far this year, I got my Poptropican in a PMFM post (Round 9, to be exact)!
Happy Panda
So yeah. Also, if you want to add me, my current account name is >jagger< . If you want to add my previous accounts, they are: toto11623, paul11623, canhe99, and toycan. Right now, I comment on the PHB under a couple of names: Teen Arachnid (for home) and Happy Panda (for other places).
My biggest dream is to one day become a PHB author, but it probably won’t happen. But like William Arthur War says: “If you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it.”

(Hey guys! This is a guest post by TechWizard, who wants to tell us about Our Discovery Island being turned into an app. Let’s check out some of the new stuff! –Slippery 🐊)
Hoi Poptropicans! TechWizard here not with a developer post but with something completely different! *cue booing*
Oh, hold your boos. You’re going to either love or hate this because I’ve found Poptropica’s educational clone, Our Discovery Island… on mobile! *more booing*
But wait, what’s so special about this? Well, it’s called Poptropica English, despite other Poptropica English apps in existence. However, it’s quite like desktop ODI!
The app contains few, but significant changes from the desktop version:
In the desktop version, it’s called “Our Discovery Island” but now, the app is called “Poptropica English Island Game“. It is probably because of the change of management from Pearson to Sandbox.
In the app, everyone can now experience the game through a free trial. The trial ends after few scenes. If you have your account from the desktop version, you can also use it to play the full version.
You can also play the different games (Quiz, Match Cards, and etc.) from the menu!
Item names are now capitalized rather than in lowercase.
It now runs on the same game engine as the Poptropica app from the character customization and interface!
Although, the islands are still the same— from the quests, gameplay and to the voices.
You can check out the game on Apple or Android devices by downloading it from the App Store or Google Play.
Well, time to go crawl back to the hole I reside in! *cue piano music* We’ll meet again, don’t know where and I don’t know when! Oh, I know we’ll meet again, some sunny day!
