Adventures…on a blimp!

Everyone knows the Poptropica Blimp, the yellow floating vehicle with the Poptropica logo that flies around and takes you to certain islands. You can use it for your many various travels in the game of Poptropica

Well, I bet a lot of you also heard news that the blimp has been made into a toy! Yep, you can now purchase an inflatable toy version of the blimp-your very own authentic Poptropica blimp! Cool, huh?

Well, this new post on the Creators’ Blog is all about that new toy. Here’s a new pic of Jeff Kinney holding one of these toys…pretty big if you ask me.

But wait…hold your horses. If we carefully scrutinize the photo…zoom in, you’ll see that there are some things to be noticed in this photo. First off there’s a standing poster of a Poptropica rock star, unseen before, yet possibly a future product. You’ll notice their office is located somewhere in a tall building because of the look out the windows, and also by the window counter appears to be a fossil track mark, a school bus, and an almost unnoticable similar standing poster. Except this poster is of Shark Boy. Hint…hint…

Anyways, the blimp comes with a special code for you to play a special game on the virtual world of Poptropica! With the blimp comes this unique code. Here’s a video on the PCB demonstrating the game!

The basic plot is that an evil genius named Dr. Cumulo Nimbus has come to conquer these lands in a weather balloon. He begins to “go insane” and strike lightning with his weather balloons on the land. In this adventure, you must go around in your balloon and extinguish the flames by pouring water from a bucket tied to the water balloon. Then you win when you successfully put out the fires igniting in a fiery inferno on the villages, which are placed on islands.

Multiverse free for all!

One of the most popular and expensive gold cards in the Poptropica Store is now free! That’s right. Remember the good old Multiverse that came out a couple years back? You could create a room if you had it, then by clicking on the friends icon and entering that room code, you can get into your friend’s room. A cool way for a private game server in Poptropica.

Well, now this baby is going free. Yep, it once cost 350 credits, a price higher than any other gold card. But now? Now the creators have finally made this feature free for all. No longer will you have to ask someone “who here can make a room?” because guess what, anyone can! You can now get this sweet feature for free!

The creators also mentioned and posted a video of their first Multiverse Party since they liked it so much. Here’s the video. It shows the creators using the Flower Power item from the Poptropica Store when it was first released:

But that’s not what I want to talk about today. The LE-GEN-WAIT-FOR-IT-DARY thing was just announced today! 😀 Wanna know what it is? *drumroll starts*

LEGENDARY SWORDS!

This happens to be a brand-new adventure that is exclusively available in the Poptropica Store! This  is the thing that the sneak peeks in the Daily Pop have been leading up to! 😀 According to the video, there’s another planet in the Poptropica universe with the legendary sword. We pull it out, and we get to fight robots. The E.VILE robots!! This is actually what they’re for! 😀 I’m so excited for this, Game Show Island, and Mystery Train, which releases October 7th! Get ready, for this will be an exciting end to 2011! 😀 Gameplay details and release date will be revealed soon, so stay tuned!! 🙂

It’s almost time to blow out the candles

Time flies! Poptropica’s fourth birthday celebration is almost over. The limited edition costumes that have been re-released to the store for the month of September are about to disappear. GB: 😥 I told you! *sob*

These costumes are available until the end of the day on Friday for Poptropica Members. Even if your Membership ends in the future, you’ll still have the costumes to keep forever.

Sounds interesting! Looks like the “super-smart robots have taken over the world by winning all the money and prizes from game shows.”  (PCB) This is probably the island where the E.Vile robots originate and where the Mr. Yoshi stuff come from. IF you remember all of the Daily Pop sneak peeks about robots and such, this is the island! Can’t wait for this one! 😀 More info will follow soon!

Two new members-only costumes have made their way back to town too: The Cryptids Nessie Hat and the Hypnotic Costume!

The Cryptid Nessie Hat was only obtained if you happened to spot the Loch Ness Monster in the Cryptid minigame! This was one of the rare prizes. The hypnotic used to be obtained by clicking the middle window four floors up from the ground on the green building in Poptropica Towers on Early Poptropica. It’s still there, but if you click on the window, it will say member’s only. This has been noticed by many PHB readers. Get them while they’re hot, because you only have a week to date to get these elusive costumes! And if you haven’t got the 4th birthday costume, keep trying! 🙂
