Hello, everyone!

Lucky Joker here bringing you a Poptropica app update, as well as new Islands of the Month!

If you haven’t logged on to Poptropica in a while, allow me to enlighten you. 😛 Poptropica has finally added conventional pets to the store with the Cat Pack and Dog Pack! And now, these guys (as well as the plethora of other new fall goodies) are also available on the app.

And guess what? Unlike the online version, everything’s available for purchase for 0 credits. That’s right, they’re FREE! Even the pets! If you haven’t already, get yours today!

The Cat Pack includes three different variations: a grumpy black one, a fuzzy gray one and, my personal favorite, a calico cutie.

The Dog Pack also includes three different kinds: A brown one, A loyal labrador and happy mutt.

October Occasions: IOTM, Skinny Moon’s Birthday, & PHB Contest!

Hey everyone! Spotted Dragon here again (I know, it’s like once in a blue moon these days) and it’s October, so you know what that means…

Well, yes it does mean it’s time to binge watch Over the Garden Wall, but that’s not the point of this post. The point is that it’s a new month and that means a new Island of the Month! And that island is…

Monster Carnival! And for this spoopy time of year, I’d say Monster Carnival is a perfect choice. Remember that since this island is currently featured, it gets special advantages! 😀

First-time finishers get 500 credits instead of the usual 300
Repeat finishers get a one-time 300 credit bonus instead of the usual 150
There’s a brand-new walkthrough (by the Creators) for Monster Carnival to help you if need be
Some cool IOTM lost art and/or throwbacks will be posted throughout the month on the Creators’ Blog and social media
The IOTM’s exclusive members-only items are back in the Poptropica Store for a limited time (including the Ringmaster costume which was previously only available during early access)

Of course, we did already figure out the Islands of the Month – the other is Mythology Island – the Creators just finally got around to blogging about it (and mentioning the upcoming lost art!).

If you are interested in any of these, head over to Monster Carnival Island right away! I’m very excited to see all this “lost art,” aren’t you? However, that’s not all that’s special about this month…

It’s also Skinny Moon’s birthday today! Yep, October 13th to be exact, so be sure to wish her a happy birthday. From all of us here on the PHB, happy birthday, Jessica! We all love and appreciate you very much, so we hope you had an amazing day. 😉

Hello readers!

UPDATE: Poptropica has updated its post to say that old-timers will also be rewarded as well – the first time you complete an Island you’ve already finished, you’ll get a 100 credit bonus. Also, those of you who have already completed the IOTM – you’ll get a 300 credit bonus the first time you complete it again!

While I’m struggling with composite functions, there’s big news in Poptropica: they increased the credit count for completing islands (again)! They’ve doubled it from 150 to 300! (I swear, things always get easier for the younger generation, doesn’t it?)

In addition, every month, the creators are going to feature two Islands of the Month, which will award 500 credits… to first-time finishers. Come on creators, throw us old-timers a bone!

This month’s IOTM (Islands of the Month) are Mystery of the Map (guide here) and Virus Hunter (guide here), for anyone who wants to try to get some extra credits. The Creators also leave us with this promise: “We’ll also be doing some cool stuff for the Islands of the Month here on the (Creators’) blog and on Poptropica’s social media, so stay tuned…”

Crisis Caverns Island, Daily Pop, Membership, Mission Atlantis Island

Crisis Caverns, Deep Dive, & Membership Makeover

Heyo everyone! SD here with another update. So let’s get to it!

First up, credit to idk for an entire album of Crisis Cavern themed Daily Pop sneak peeks! Too many to list in fact, but they’re there, so I suggest you check them out! 😛

Second up, credit also goes to idk for finding two cool test scenes for Deep Dive Island, now known as Mission Atlantis of course. In both, you can explore and interact with a few things, but it was just a test so there isn’t much else to it.

While on the topic of Deep Dive Island, or Mission Atlantis, an unused diving suit was also found! As you can see below, it was all black instead of the yellow one that ended up being used. Pretty neat, huh?

Lastly, credit goes to WimpyKidFan for noticing that the Membership page for Poptropica has a new design! While it does look new, improved, and sleek, is this really what we want the Creators’ to be focusing on? Don’t get me wrong, it looks pretty cool! But it does seem like a small step towards “New Poptropica.” And don’t get me started on new islands.

So… Which one of you gave Dr. Hare a map to the entire Poptropica universe?? Look at that smug bucktoothed grin on that evil pink bunny-suited hooligan’s face. Look at how his green goggles emanate a childlike excitement over that X which marks the spot. Dominion over Poptropica will soon be his…

Nah, that’s not it. All this was just to say: The new map is now available on the Poptropica app! For more about the new map, check out this PHB post. It covers island difficulty, your progress, and amount of times you’ve finished an island. And it’s Dr. Hare-approved.

Oh, you wanted to see another cute Poptropica critter? Well… rats. ~~This is the only Daily Pop that showed up during the month of May~~… UPDATE: A week later, the rat appears to have been animated in a second Daily Pop for the month of May! (slow clap)

Oh Rats: Too busy around here for sneak peeks! Honest!

Yeahhh… that excuse is old news. But hey, what is up with this rat’s design? Is… is this going to be the art style of New Poptropica? It certainly doesn’t look like anything we’ve seen before in current Poptropica. Or was it just a preliminary sketch that a Creator found and uploaded to give us something to look at? Share your speculations in the comments!
