Hello! I'm Slanted Fish, the editor-in-chief and creator of the Poptropica Help Blog (PHB). I'm a writer, Hong Kong native, and Christ follower. My Poptropica username is slantedfish 🐠 Don't forget to be awesome!
Almost to New Year’s, Poptropicans! Congrats on surviving another year with Covid — but this roundup isn’t about the pandemic. We’ve got plenty of variants to talk about with Poptropica, so strap in for the PHB’s 2021 Rewind!
Poptropica in 2021 has been unlike any other in years past. With the end of Flash in 2020, they’ve had to rebuild the game on a new engine, Haxe, which has brought about some interesting changes. Let’s pop into it! ⏪
Hey Poptropicans! We’ve got another side quest sneak peek, costume winner, activities away from screentime, a Crazy Club tribute, and cute criminals in the Pop universe. Let’s get started!
Last week, we got news of an upcoming side quest sequel for Goofball Island along with a sneak peek of a mechanical bee. Now, Bee Bot is back on our screens and colored in greens! Friend or foe, we don’t know.

We also have word on the winner of December’s costume contest: Rainbow Puppy by Hamburger Hamburger! This colorful creation will be available for free at the Baron’s when the ship arrives in early January.
Plus, check out all the other fun costume creations in this roundup reel:
That’s a wrap for this update! Hope you’re enjoying the Grapple-Pap season on Pop with the Grapple-Gift Side Quest and decking yourself and your halls with Christmas gear. Cheers! 😄✌️
Hey Poptropicans, pop in for Christmas costumes, lovely fan art, and a strange meme. Let’s take a look!
Adventure Outfitters presses on with another weekly store update, still carrying lots of winter wear. Noteworthy are the new Peppermint PJs (200 credits) and returning outfits Cozy Cocoa (250), Boss Babe (250), and Aqua Rebel (250).
Plus, pets can get the new Holiday Ball (75) and Candy Cane Cap (75), matching with player outfits still in the shop. Members’ pets can also be crowned with the Jingle Beanie (75) and re-released Blue Tiara (75). 👑 See more on the Creators’ Blog »
Over on Instagram, we’ve got some more lovely fan art featured in Poptropica’s stories. These characters may be cute on the outside, but do their hearts match their faces?
While we’re in the swing of winter, a hint of summer remains in the latest short from Poptropica: a meme that mashes the Island Boys from TikTok with Goofball Island. We might prefer goofing off with the latter.
Anyway, that’s a wrap for this update! Pop on, Poptropicans!
This weekend, Poptropicans gathered in the Arcade and on our PHC Discord server to celebrate the holiday season with a bout of friendly games, festive outfits, and frolicking cheer. Catch a glimpse of the fun in the collage pic above! 🥳👋
We dressed up and doodled around, connecting with friends and facing our share of disconnections from full Poptropica party rooms. On the PHC, Santa Hare and a host of other Santavillains greeted us with boasts of their Christmastime delinquency. Snowballs were thrown, screen snaps were shared, and so were suspicions of who in the party room might be a Pop Creator — our bet’s on Detective Anna Gram. 🕵️♀️
Thanks to all who came out to party with us! We hope you had a blast and are enjoying the holidays, however you celebrate. Happy Grapple-Pap!!
Today’s the day! You’ve heard us tell you the PHB is throwing a Grapple-Pap Holiday Party this Sat evening at 8 pm Eastern, but there’s more: it’s now Poptropica approved!
Just a day ago, the Pop Creators’ Blog gave a little shout-out for our event, complete with a “See y’all there.” Sounds like they might be joining us! Don’t miss your chance to party with a Pop Creator — be sure to pop in for some games at the Arcade tonight! 🕹
Speaking of Grapple-Pap, Poptropica also released an official playthrough video of the Grapple-Gift event that’ll be here for the rest of the month. For something to pair it with, try our Grapple-Gift Guide!
And from Instagram, the Creators featured another batch of fantastic fan art, including a few from the PHB’s Lucky Joker (@howdyitslj)! By the way, you can also find his PHB team pic on our About page, and the names of every OG contestant in our Reality TV Island Guide.
By the way, there’s more art featured on Pop’s Instagram stories too, including a couple of the above! In addition, there’s a reminder for the ticking deadline of this month’s costume contest, which closes this Sunday, Dec 19 at 11pm Eastern/8pm Pacific.
That wraps up this Grapple-Gift of fan-made talents! Be sure to pop by tonight on Discord and Poptropica’s Arcade (through the in-game menu) for our Grapple-Pap Party. See you there!
