Can you guess which Pop(tropica!) boy band this is?

If your answer is One Direction, you’re right! In this PHB special, I’ll explain how you can dress like them on Poptropica using only 75 credits per band member (none if you’re a member). From left to right;

Niall: Hair from Reality TV Island Main Street, clothing from Leprechaun costume (Poptropica Store)

With Wimpy Boardwalk (PHB guide here) as Poptropica’s 28th island, the challenge is on to collect them all (island medallions, that is)! Have you completed all the islands? How many medallions do you have? And which islands did you enjoy the most? 🙂

Speaking of islands, what do you think of the recent Daily Pop sneak peeks? It looks like there may be some interesting musical/space exploration in the future! These two pics below suggest there’s some old photos for the memories at PASE, which is the Poptropica Academy for Space Exploration, a parody of NASA.

On July 26, 2012, the Poptropica Help Blog turns four years old! Just like last year, we’re celebrating with a PHB Author Night at the Poptropica Help Chatroom (PHC), in which you, dear readers, will get to talk live with the authors of this blog and meet lots of other awesome Poptropicans!

DATE: Thursday, July 26, 2012

TIME: 5:30pm PST / 6:30pm MST / 7:30 CST / 8:30pm, EST
(There’s no set time for it to end, so stay as long as you can!)

PLACE: The PHC!

Be sure to check which time zone you’re in to make sure you come at the right time! (Though it wouldn’t hurt to be early.) EST is Eastern Standard Time in the USA, but if you’re in the GMT+8 time zone like me, that’s 8:30am.

The PHC – where Author Night will be taking place. A safe chatroom environment with moderators, and of course, PHB authors!

The PHC can be accessed by clicking the “Chat” link in the navigation bar above, or by going to xat.com/thephc. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the chat rules and ranks (this information can be found by scrolling down on the Xat page). Even on regular days (before & after Author Night), you’re welcome to use the PHC.

The Mystery of Zaggy Moondust

A new character named Zaggy Moondust was featured today on the Creators’ Blog, with the caption “Who is Zaggy Moondust? And what’s he got to do with Poptropica? Perhaps one day we will find out.”

The name does have that Poptropica feel to it, but it’s not one of the standard Poptropican names. It’s worth noting that it sounds like a spin on Ziggy Stardust, which was English musician David Bowie’s alter ego. Dressed like a pop/rock star, perhaps Zaggy Moondust is an idol for screaming fangirls.

The image shows both a boy and girl in the same Zaggy Moondust outfit, so which is it? However, the caption uses the pronoun “he,” which suggests that ZM is male. Perhaps it’s a costume that will be made available to both genders? Or is ZM a character with the ability to change genders?
