Charlie bit my finger, I mean, my candy bar!

There’s some new additions to the Poptropica map! Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Island is now listed as coming soon, and Skullduggery Island was pushed to the front page to advertise its upcoming book.

EDIT: You can now read the first two chapters of Skullduggery Island for free on FunBrain, Poptropica’s sister site. Also, to watch the trailer video – click here!

Strangely though, Astro-Knights Island doesn’t have that as well, even though it’s also getting its own novel.

Halloween may be over, but there’s still a treat in store. Literally. Maybe wearing a giant chocolate bar costume will put you in the mood for the upcoming Charlie & the Chocolate Factory island. Get the Candy Bar in the Store, 75 credits or free for members! 😀 (Thanks, Mad Tornado.)

Just don’t eat yourself… and watch your thumb, Linus…

For Halloween, the Creators gave us a little trick treat – a spooky new Poptropica desktop wallpaper! You can click on it to enlarge the image. To use it from there, right-click and choose to save it as your desktop picture. 🙂

Be sure to check back tomorrow on Halloween for the winners of the PHB’s Fourth Annual Halloween Costume Competition!

In other news, Green Boa resigned from the PHB today to focus on his future. We’ll miss your awesome posts, GB! 😦 If you’d like, you can say goodbye to him here.

Merchandise, Nintendo DS Game

Video for Poptropica’s first video game, Poptropica Adventures (DS)!

Slanted Fish

We already have information about the upcoming Poptropica Nintendo DS game – see posts here and here. It’s called Poptropica Adventures, and now there’s a page on the Poptropica website for it! (Thanks, Fuzzy Bubble.) You can see it here.

(Warning: Cheesy female voice speaks in this ad/trailer video.)

Among the information on the page are: the trailer video (see above), pictures, description, where to buy, Poptropica wish list, E for Everyone rating, a quote from Jeff Kinney…

“We’re excited to bring the world of Poptropica to the Nintendo DS. We’ve picked three of our most popular Islands and given them a twist with exciting new challenges and storylines. We think kids will have fun exploring our world in an experience only the Nintendo DS can deliver!”

…and not only is all this available starting November 6th, but when you buy this, it comes with a redeemable code that gives you two free costumes! One is a lightning-studded warrior, and the other is a surfer, dressed in purple and with snake hair.

Get ready to explore Poptropica’s most popular islands – Super Power, Astro-Knights, and Mythology – like never before. 🙂

At the North Logan Pumpkin Walk in Utah, some beloved Poptropica Creators unleashed their creativity by building a pumpkin-based exhibit for Poptropica! Here are the photos from the Creators’ Blog. 😀

Too good to be eaten! And if you visit this Cache Valley display this season, who knows – you may even get to see a Poptropica Creator! 😛
