Islands may be Poptropica’s backbone, but mini-quests also offer fun games to play between island releases. Let’s get a closer look! ๐Ÿ‘€

As a sequel to the hour-long “I played and ranked every Poptropica island so you don’t have to…”, which recently won runner-up for Best Fan Video in our 2023 Poppies awards, veteran Poptropican Jake Miller (Neat Sun) is back with another Pop drop: ranking every* Poptropica mini-quest. Don’t worry, this one’s only 20 minutes. Check it out:

Like before, Jake used the unofficial Flashpoint download to access many of the old mini-games โ€” more about that in our Old Islands Guide. However, not every mini-game is still playable, and some can only be explored through old fan videos (or our mini-game guides).

*Although Jake takes us through many mini-quests, including a couple on the Nintendo DS, the video misses a few newer releases from Haxe Poptropica. He also doesn’t go through the bonus quests that some classic islands had, though he suggests it could be a future video. Anyway, here’s his tier list (S-tier as best, D-tier as worst):

Cool video, Jake! It’s fun to see many of these classic games live on in memory, and at least some are still playable with Flashpoint.

It’s August, Poptropicans! ๐ŸŒž While we’ve started off the month with a bittersweet end for our Community Creations series, Poptropica continues to churn out some of its standard updates.

Like clockwork, Poptropica is kicking off the new month with a set of member gifts: a Monkey Fun Costume, Banana Follower, and Monkey Dance, which has your character bend and swing their arms. ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŒ

Yup, a couple of the inventory items are mislabeled.

Adventure Outfitters on Home Island also rotated its stock, bringing out “new” items including scooters and snacks for your clubhouse, and summer styles like the blended pastels and frog bucket hat. ๐Ÿ›ต๐Ÿธ

(Start from the prologue, or continue from Case Two)

Even though it was hard getting out of Tiny Axeโ€™s office, Anna still had to rescue her. Anna was a little nervous, though, because she didnโ€™t know what Tiny Axe was like, and she didnโ€™t know what the mysterious bandit might do to her.

ANNA: โ€œI should bring some case files, you never know if the bandit is under cover.”

She grabs a new case file and writes: โ€œThe mystery of the mysterious bandit.โ€

ANNA: โ€œNow I can go save Tiny Axe!โ€

Anna hurriedly sprints to the elevator, and it goes down slloooowly.

ANNA: โ€œI really should have just used the stairs!โ€

The elevator lands and just as Anna steps out โ€” BOOM! The elevator bursts into pieces, waking the sleeping security guard who never wakes up.

Hello! Serious Heart here, with the first episode of Itโ€™s the Seriously Good Show! If you didnโ€™t read the prologue, I think you should probably go back and read it here. Now, letโ€™s begin!

Fireside Chat: Pull up a chair.

Serious Heart walked into the room. โ€œHowdy, people of Mythology Island! Welcome to the first episode of Itโ€™s the Seriously Good Show, the chat show where I interview famous and/or smart people! The first person I interview isโ€ฆโ€

The audience waited in suspense.

โ€œGold Bird, owner of the fashion store!โ€ Serious Heart said. The audience clapped politely as Gold Bird walked in.

โ€œWelcome, Gold Bird!โ€ Serious Heart said.

โ€œThanks, Serious Heart!โ€ Gold Bird said, beaming.

โ€œWell, Gold Bird, how did you become the owner of a world-famous fashion store?โ€ Serious Heart asked.

โ€œWell, I got the job because, I applied, and since no one else wanted the job, I had it! Isnโ€™t it funny, Serious Heart?โ€ Gold Bird exclaimed.

The audience stared at her. Serious Heart looked a little shocked.

โ€œHahahahahahahaha very funny.โ€ Serious Heart said. He did not look like that was funny at all.

โ€œSo, anyway, here is my new outfit! I got it at the Poptropica Department Store!โ€

โ€œWow, thatโ€™sโ€”” Serious Heart tried to say before Gold Bird cut him off.

โ€œSo, my BFF said, โ€˜Gold, you have to buy that outfit! Itโ€™s awesome!โ€™โ€ Gold Bird said.

Some of the audience left. Finally, Gold Bird stopped, due to exhaustion from talking so much. Serious Heart seized his chance to talk.

โ€œWhat are your favorite clothes?โ€ Serious Heart asked.

Gold Bird looked delighted.

โ€œMy silver dress! It costedโ€ฆ 1,291,836 credits!โ€ Gold Bird bragged.

Serious Heart looked pleased that he has finally gotten a chance to ask a question.

And Gold Bird rambled on and on and on, like that, for the rest of the interview, until Serious Heart cut her off before it got too boring.

โ€œWell, thatโ€™s it for today! Tune in next time, Poptropicans!โ€ Serious Heart said.
