A Letter to the Poptropica Creators 📝 re: Game and Blog Inactivity

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Anon. Enjoy!

Hi Poptropica Creators,

What’s going on? I know you might have been bothered by this subject, but you haven’t posted on the official blog in four months, since February, despite comments about it from fans on social media.

To be honest, I’ve been really worried sick about you and your game. Many Poptropicans are saying the Pop Creators’ Blog is dead and so is the game. Many are losing interest and walking away. It seems like Poptropica is heading down the same path as MovieStarPlanet, a game that was abandoned by its developers without new updates.

The Pop Creators’ Blog was last updated in February — four months ago!

But I’m not gonna stop playing your game or supporting you guys. I still really love Poptropica. I just think it needs a lot more improvement, and I’d love to help, but it’s hard to know how.

Poptropica has been a major part of my childhood, as well as lots of other people’s childhoods. I’ve even been a guest blogger on the official blog. You’ve talked about bringing back the old islands, and if fans could help, we’d love to — particularly for all the old-school islands like Early Pop and the original Reality TV that didn’t make it to the Steam bundle.

If we could play these classics again, people would come back to the game. And I still have that hope that things can get better.

Nessie?: Hard to make out those shapes in the water…

So I wonder and I ask, will you really bring the classic islands back? How about other popular features now lost, such as the Multiverse or common rooms on every island? And is there any way fans can help, whether with programming, remembering, or just general support?

Thank you for reading, have a great summer, and hope to hear from you soon…

  1. It’s amazing to see your loyalty to the game! I love this!
I wrote one for them too, but mine sounds more desperate…

What's popping, Poptropicans?
