Pop-over: Lackadaisy โ™ฃ๏ธ๐Ÿป

๐ŸŽต Time’s a-wastin’, friend, can’t spare a minute
(Chasin’ after that liquid gold)
Take a big inhale o’ those St. Lou’ spirits
(We’d rather get it than ever get old)
๐ŸŽต

Why hello everyone! Welcome to another Pop-over: a Poptropica crossover with another universe. This time, we’re going back to the Roaring Twenties (and no itโ€™s not Gatsby)!

The story of Lackadaisy takes place in the glorious town of St Louis, Missouri and is set during the 1920s. It tells the adventures of Rocky, Calvin โ€œFrecklesโ€, and Ivy Pepper as they try and help Mitzi May (Miss M) keep the Lackadaisy Speakeasy in business. Lackadaisy started as a webcomic and has a TV show currently in production.

Now letโ€™s meet the characters โ€” and their Poptropica counterparts! (You can dress like them using the Avatar Studio Glitch, aka ASG.)

Rocky is the main protagonist of Lackadaisy. He is the leader of the team to help Miss M keep the Lackadaisy Speakeasy in business. You can find Rocky playing his violin in the band for the speakeasy, creating free verse poems, and being chaotic, which usually annoys Ivy. Here is a fun clip of Rocky. You can use the ASG account: RockyASG to turn into this fun, mischievous feline on Poptropica.

Calvin โ€œFrecklesโ€ McMurray is Rockyโ€™s cousin. Even though Rocky can get a bit chaotic at times, Freckles is the complete opposite. Freckles is often shy and innocent but he can switch to chaotic really fast to protect the ones he cares about. You can use the ASG account FrecklesASG to turn into him.

Ivy Pepper is perky, confident, hotheaded, temperamental, romantic, only when Freckles is around, and often saucy to those who get the better of her. (credit: Lackadaisy Wiki) You can use the ASG account: IvyPepperASG to turn into her.

Mordecai Heller is the main antagonist of Lackadaisy. He is more reserved and doesnโ€™t like it when people mess up with his plans or acts in an informal manner. Heโ€™s also a triggerman for the Marigold gang after leaving the Lackadaisy speakeasy. You can use the ASG account: MordecaiASG to dress like him.

Mitzi May, formally known as Miss M in the show, is the current owner of the Lackadaisy Speakeasy. She is often in a depressed mood, since her husband, Atlas May, the founder of the Lackadaisy speakeasy, passed away. She cares for the people around her and isnโ€™t afraid to take in new recruits. There are rumors spreading around St. Louis that Miss M might have taken part in Atlasโ€™s death, but itโ€™s just a theory. You can use the ASG account: MitziMayASG to dress like her.

Finally, we have Viktor. Viktor is the bartender of the Lackadaisy Speakeasy. Besides his knowledge of liquor, he cares for the Lackadaisy Speakeasy as he wants to continue with what Atlas started. He did have a bad run-in Mordecai in the past, so we will see what lies in store for this ferocious feline. You can use the ASG account: ViktorASG to dress as him.

Thatโ€™s a wrap on the Lackadaisy Pop-over! While some indie cartoons have become hits, this new show is still trying to get their spotlight. So I encourage everyone to watch the pilot and tell me your thoughts! (Note: Since it takes place during the Prohibition era, the show does contain alcohol and gun violence.) It’s also got its own theme song now you can enjoy!

Well thatโ€™s enough of me rambling. Iโ€™ll see you all soon! ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸงŠ

Pop-over: Percy Jackson ๐Ÿ”ฑ

This is a guest post by Silver Shell. Enjoy!

Hello, Poptropicans! It’s Silver Shell again.

I don’t know about you, but I’m a big fan of Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series, so I decided to make a Pop-over (Poptropica crossover) of the three main characters: Percy, Annabeth, and Grover. They’ll be based on how they look in the movies, not the books.

First, here’s Percy Jackson. Get the hair, shirt, and pants from New You (Home Island on the Poptropica app), use any type of PopGum for the mouth, and don the sword, belt, and collared armor top from the Templar Knight costume. (Try glitching for specific parts!)

Next is Annabeth Chase. For her top, you can use the Costumizer on the lady eating on top of the convention center in PoptropiCon: Ep. 1. Snag the bow and quiver from the Robin Hood costume, the pants from the Pumpkin Smash costume, and hair from the Winter Girl 3 along with bangs from the Prom Queen costume.

Last but not least, here’s Grover Underwood. Get his horns and hair from the satyr in Mythology Island, jacket from the Fall Fashion 2 costume, shirt from the Novice Adventurer Outfit (from the Home Island quest), and pants from New You (on the app).

And that’s that! Hope you liked my Pop-over on Percy Jackson.

Pop-over: Ghost Rider

Hey Poptropicans, this is a guest post by Giant Dragon. Enjoy!

Hello Poptropicans, and happy belated Halloween!

Did you enjoy my “Ghost Rider” costume in the PHB’s Halloween Costume Contest? It won an honorable mention! For this post, I’m going to share how you can put this outfit together. Let us “pop” into it.

For those who don’t know, the Ghost Rider is a Marvel comic book superhero also adapted into movies. Wikipedia’s description of the character is “a human who can transform into a skeletal superhuman wreathed in ethereal flame and given supernatural powers.”

Now, putting the costume together is as easy as nibbling cheese! Here are the items you will need (the numbers are their codes in Card Collector, a glitching tool for getting all sorts of stuff):

  • Rock Star outfit (3006)
  • Torch Power (3050)
  • Skeleton Power or any outfit or ASG with a skull on it (3006)
  • Rumplestiltskin outfit (if you donโ€™t have the outfit, since it’s members-only, use the ASG Machine)

Before you start, remove any handheld item or anything else (including backpack and hair wigs). This is how you’ll assemble the outfit:

  1. Use the Skeleton Power and remove the ribs from it.
  2. Put on the Rumplestiltskin shirt.
  3. Activate Torch Power!

Add whatever pants you like, and there you go. Doesnโ€™t it look completely spooky?

Keep your eyes popped for my future posts! Dragon out.

Masked Singers drawn in Poptropica style ๐ŸฆŠ

Hey, Poptropicans! Recently in the comments for my Ask Poptropica Siri series, PHB reader Silver Tiger challenged me to try and make a crossover of The Masked Singer x Poptropica. Here we go!

From left to right: Frog ๐Ÿธ, Chameleon ๐ŸฆŽ, Sun โ˜€๏ธ, Flower ๐ŸŒธ, and Peacock ๐Ÿฆš

Since I couldnโ€™t actually make any costumes on Poptropica from The Masked Singer, I decided to draw them as Poptropicans. But to start off, let me tell you a bit about TMS. It’s a fun, family-friendly TV show on Fox that appears once a year. Celebrities come on the show dressed up in funny, adorable, or wacky costume and sing for the judges, and there can be plot twists anywhere just waiting to happen. Try an episode!

Now since you know a bit about the show, let me show you some drawings I made of the characters as Poptropicans wearing the costumes. Here’s Fox (and you can check out a performance here)!

And here’s Rabbit (check out a performance here)!

As for the characters in the first drawing, you can check out their performances on YouTube with these links: Frog, Chameleon, Sun, Flower, and Peacock. Also, check out the PHB’s How to Draw a Poptropican Guide for some inspiration in your own creations! ๐Ÿ–Œ

And thatโ€™s about it. I loved doing this challenge. What do you think of these performances? Share in the comments. See you soon! ~๐Ÿ“šโ„๏ธ

PHB Pop-over: The Greatest Showman ๐ŸŽฉ๐ŸŽช

Ladies and gents, this is the moment you’ve waited for

Hello everyone! Welcome to my first Pop-over: a Poptropica crossover with another universeโ€”this time, The Greatest Showman. ๐ŸŽฉ๐Ÿ’ซ

In case you’re not familiar, The Greatest Showman (2017) is a family-friendly movie about an entrepreneur who decides to take on their dream and become a circus leader. This movie is filled with great songs, dance numbers, and amazing actors and actresses. (Check out my movie review on my blog or watch the trailer here!)

Anyway, I created the outfits in the pic above using the ASG and the Poptropica app. Here’s how:

P.T. Barnum: Outfit comes from ASG Random5ASG, everything else came from new player screen and the old New You building. (Add him with the username: PTBarnumASG)

Philip Carlyle: Hair and outfit came from new player screen. (Add him with the username: PhilipCarlyleASG)

Anne Wheeler: Whole outfit came from ASG SugarPlum_Fairy_ASG. (Add her with the username: AnneWheelerASG)

Lettie Lutz: The bun comes from the woman outside of the New You building, and the outfit from the ASG SuperSmashBrosZelda_ASG. For the beard, go to Modify a Poptropican on the PHB’s Glitching Guide, go to marks, and then click medium beard1. For the bun, use the old Costumizer and selected the lady outside of the old New You building. (Add her with the username: BeardedLadyASG)

Charity Barnum: The dress comes from the ASG Rosemoji46. For the hair, go to the old New You building and keep clicking until it shows up. (Add her with the username: CharityBarnumASG)

I had so much fun doing this as a Pop-over. If you want to, you can hear the movie’s amazing soundtrack over on YouTube. ๐ŸŽต

I will be making another Pop-over soon. Hint: we’re going all the way back to the 1900s! Can you guess what it is? Share it in the comments! See you soon!
