Vlad Survives a Storm

Snapshot Sagas: Giant Brain

Today Poptropica Creator Vlad the Viking has met up with yet another Poptropican. This time it was Giant Brain who ecountered the strange viking on Nabooti Island. Thanks Neat Whale for this information. Vlad promises to visit Poptropica and take pictures of some players and feature them on the Creators’ Blog – and he calls it ‘Snapshot Sagas’. This is his story:

The storm hit when I was about 5 hours at sea, sailing from Shark Tooth Island. I thought I was done for, and worse, I was sad that my camera’s battery ran out when I attempted to take a photo of the huge wave that almost swallowed my small coconut tree raft! After the storm, I drifted for what seemed like ages until I finally fell asleep from exhaustion. When I awoke, I found myself on the shore of a strange and wonderful land.

Venturing around, I soon found myself in the Village of Nabooti, where I was able to charge up my camera (luckily it still works) and search for another unique and friendly Poptropican to feature in Snapshot Sagas! In Fly By Night Airlines I ran into Giant Brain. He was a fairly sociable lad, and was kind enough to let me take a photo of him before he hopped off to chat with his other Poptropican friends. Thanks Giant Brain!

Congratulations Giant Brain on being featured on the Poptropica Creators’ Blog!
And to everyone else out there – watch out for Vlad’s camera, who knows when you may meet him on Poptropica!

Codiens Opinion on Crediting:
I believe that crediting is great. Everyone is helping us get the latest knowledge. But i don’t think we should have to say thanks to the first person who says it. Because not only is it that person who helped out but theres lots of people that are continuously trying to be the first to say theres a new post. I love it that you  guys really want to help us but, is not that hard for us to just check for ourselves.
That’s just my opinion.

Counterfeit Island, Sneak Peeks

A truck pays a visit…

Yay – it’s the grapes again! Must be a sneak peek of the food-loving French-themed island. Thanks to Mitchell Brett for the update! In this picture we have a grape field very similar to this other sneak peek, but this time a mysterious truck seems to be driving by. Anyway, here it is:

Blog Post Title: Getting Around
Description: Look both ways before crossing the road on this island!
Image URL: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_q9BePaDQLzI/SXipfSwh8tI/AAAAAAAAACU/fWTMsxLM3p4/s1600-h/foreign_truck.jpg
Image Name: foreign_truck.jpg

Based on the information given, the Creators seem to be hinting at a lot (or they’re just random titles). The blog post title seems to say that we might use this truck as a means of transportation. The description hints that there may be some dangers on the road, and the image name points out that the truck shown in the picture is not French, but possibly from somewhere else (foreign). Or this is just a false alarm… but either way, we’ve got some new mysteries about this awesome island coming soon! 😀

Want a bear hat, or meet someone named Nice Bubbles? Check that all out in the post below. Or if you’d like another island sneak peek, why not visit this Big Nate seagull? 😛

Nice Bubbles rocks! So does Open Season 2!

Nice work, Nice Bubbles! 😛

Today Nice Bubbles beat Shark Boy in a game of Sky Dive! Thanks to Cheerful Claw for the quick alert. Remember, it’s not a race to inform everyone about it. Anyway, here’s Shark Boy’s testimony, along with the picture:

Today I was totally rocking on Soupwords and was so close to getting a 5 star battle ranking, but then Nice Bubbles showed up! She challenged me to Skydive, and my battle ranking took a major dive. I used the crying emote a lot 😦

(If you’d like to see it yourself, check it out at: http://blog.poptropica.com/2009/01/shark-boy-attacks-poptropica-and-gets.html.)

On the left side of the picture it shows Shark Boy at the Coconut Cafe (possibly his favorite multiplayer room to hang out) and his battle ranking (4 stars). We now know that his name on Poptropica is “Shark Boy”! This makes it quite likely that Vlad’s could be “Vlad the Viking”, or just “Vlad”, maybe even “Viking.” In the middle, Shark Boy shows off his score of 70 on Soupwords, but it’s cropped so we can’t see his opponent. And on the right we have him losing against a girl, Nice Bubbles. 😛

Next on the news we’ve got: Open Season 2 advertisement! Thanks to Mitchell Brett for this update!

You can find this advertisement building on the far right side of Main Street of any island. You may remember Codien’s special sneak peek of a bear hat some time ago, on another post. Well, this is it – the “bear hat” advertisement! Open Season 2 is a movie, by the way. Here’s a picture I took of the outside (there’s a lot more inside though!):

Now for the grand tour… well, a little tour. 😛

Bottom left: Open Season 2 Trailer video
Bottom right: Open Season 2 quiz game
Middle left: Open Season 2 Synopsis
Middle right:  Information and pictures of the Open Season 2 video cases
Top center: Open Season 2 animal costumes (includes: bear hat, bear suit, mule deer hat, mule deer suit)

In the movie, the bear’s name is Boog and the mule deer is Elliot. 😉

Also, Poptropica Help Blog is at around 355,000 hits now! Keep them comin’! 😀

Big Nate Island, Sneak Peeks

Boy and Seagull

What do you get when you cross a seagull and a Poptropican boy? A Big Nate sneak peek! 😀

Thanks Grumpy Wolf for keeping us informed! The setting of this sneak peek looks very familiar to this other one. The picture of the school clock is back and this time it seems that it’s flying time for the birds! The time is different from the last sneak peek, too. Blog picture and information below:

Blog Post Title: Heads up!
Description: What time is it when a seagull flies over your head? Time to get a new hat! Bwaa ha ha! This is why I prefer bunnies to birds.
(If you’re wondering about the comment of bunnies preferred over birds, it’s because this was posted by Poptropica Creator Dr. Hare.)

“…You’re on a mission to find a long-lost time capsule which, if found, can save the school from demolition…”
(Part of the Big Nate Island description from Poptropica.com)

Time: The time capsule relates to time, and so does a clock because it tells time.
School: If the time capsule is found, the school is saved. Also, the sneak peek shows a school clock.

Maybe this clock is related to that time capsule that can save the school? After all, they’re both related to time and school… 😉

Vlad’s New Camera!

Poptropica Creator Vlad the Viking mysteriously gained a nice new camera to hang around proudly on his neck! Thanks to Cheerful Claw for the quick update. Vlad promises to visit Poptropica and take pictures of some players and feature them on the Creators’ Blog – and he calls it ‘Snapshot Sagas’. Today he met Shy Speck, and here’s what he had to say:

I, Vlad, having acquired a shiny new camera, will venture across Poptropica in search of fun and unique Poptropicans to feature on this blog. Today I went to the Coconut Cafe on Shark Tooth Island, and was happy to meet Shy Speck!

Keep your eyes open, you may be featured next time on Snapshot Sagas!

Congratulations on being the first featured Poptropican in Snapshot Sagas, Shy Speck! And to everyone else out there – watch out for Vlad’s camera, who knows when you may meet him on Poptropica!
