Comics, Daily Pop

News from the Daily P(r)OPhet! No… fine.

“What’s happenin’, guys! So most of you guys are saying Hogwarts is being ruled by Severus Poptropica’s down. Well, it’s back up! And with….” ~EL

The Daily Pop, a new edition to Poptropica.

Loud Shark made a video exploring this new exciting feature:

They even changed Poptropica itself by added a new Tab bar and a great new homepage.

Here is a guide to the new Tab bar.

If you click on the Daily Pop you will get to Poptropica’s newest “newspaper of sorts”.

There are three sections in the Daily Pop. There are Comics, Games, and Sneak peaks.

COMICS:

In this section you can look at comics such as one’s like Big Nate and Peanuts. But also others ones that are new to Poptropica, sure to induce your daily pop of laughter (See what I did there? ;-)).

GAMES:

These are not you normal Poptropica games, in fact, you don’t even use your poptropican to play them. Many of you are familiar with the popular online game site miniclip.com, well, all the games are from that site. Sure to induce your daily pop of.. uh. games.. (Yah, that’s getting old.)

SNEAK PEAKS:

This should come in handy a lot in the future. Check out the sneak peak pictures they have on right now! There’s a dude with an iPhone! 😀 (Yup, the best item ever. Believe it.)

“wOOt! Yeah! Go down now and read it! Also, not Poptropica-related, but you guys saw the new harry potter movie?! Me too! Whatever… Poptropica time. 5 stars to whoever thinks the comics are BIG NATE. *wink* Cio!” ~EL

Hellos & Goodbyes, Web Development

Please, call me GA.

Trust me, I’ve been a fan of the PHB for just as long as you have and I know exactly what you’re thinking right now.

“Oh great, another new author, who is it THIS time?”

Well I know I will never be as great as Hijuyo, Coderkid, or Codien (people I admire very much.) But I can always try. 🙂

My name is GA. Most people know me as that because my first poptropica name was Golden Axe. But you can also call me Hicoga if you’d like. I will try to keep this blog as updated as possible and make sure that I fill each and every one of my posts will great information and anything else that will make your PHB experience as awesome as possible. I play baseball,  bowling, and golf. Although, my favorite sport is Nascar (But I’m not a hillbilly. :P)

I love Poptropica but also have a liking for Club Penguin.

Now, as mentioned in the previous post, my stay is only temporary, well unless Hijuyo likes me. 😉 ST is going to be gone for 7 months and I’ll take his place while he’s gone.

I just wanted to mention a few people who have helped me or been my friend throughout the years:

  • Krazi
  • Zey
  • Hijuyo
  • GoPacks
  • and ST.

Thanks, I hope you all enjoy my writing and come to like me. 😀

If you ever want to talk to me, I’m always on the PHB’s chatroom! xat.com/thephc

UPDATE: I’ll make sure I reply to all the comments so you guys can get to know me! 😀

Signed, GA

What’s been going on?

Hey guys! Some Poptropica Help Blog news updates you might be interested in:

  • Thanks to Bluorang for creating this dazzling winter header for the PHB, which the blog will be sporting this frosty season!

https://poptropi.ca/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/bluorang-winterphbheader.png

  • Former PHB author Gazek recently posted a comment on the About page saying, “Wow, the PHB looks better than ever! Seriously, man, I’m starting to rethink quitting Poptropica.” Great to hear from old-timers coming back for a visit. 🙂
  • PHB author Shaggy Tornado will be on a temporary hiatus, which means that he won’t be able to post while he’s gone. He’s on a trip in Washington, DC which he has been looking forward to, but as part of the deal, he won’t be able to come on the PHB for 7 months. In the meantime, another author will be joining the PHB in his place until he returns. Enjoy your trip, ST! 😉
  • Just wanted to say that this past Monday, I (Hijuyo) celebrated my 14th birthday on November 15th. 😀
  • Look out for the upcoming Thanksgiving Special of the epic awesome dialogue show Party With Hobos!
  • The winners of the Poptropica Help Blog’s Second Annual Halloween Costume Contest have been announced, but people have been curious about the exact placements of each of the ten finalists (who all did excellent jobs to make it into the top ten!). So here are the poll results, and thanks to those who participated!

Cryptids Island, Sneak Peeks

Hanging on a cliff

Atop a cliff in a snowy, unheard of corner of Poptropica sits a creature more reclusive than Hazmat Hermit himself. When the hermit hears of this, he immediately goes to investigate. But partly up that cliff, still hanging onto some rope, Hazmat Hermit wishes he hadn’t come.

https://poptropi.ca/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/cliff.jpg?w=300

Why? Must be some creature if even a tough hermit in his hazmat suit is afraid of it. We don’t even get a look at whatever it is, but the surroundings hint that it could be a yeti, a very reclusive cryptid. Now that’s a dramatic cliffhanger.

Advertisements, Bonus Items

I’M GOIN’ FROOTO FOR..ER..FRUIT LOOPS?

The title wasn’t well thought-out. That, I admit. As for where your tater-tots went, I’ve no idea. I promise you that I did not take them while you were checking your texts. That’s lunacy.

There’s a new ad in Poptropica! (Update thanks to kert61 on the PHF) In this ad, your Poptropican will enter a Fruit Loops pyramid, inside which you will be tasked with the extremely important job of finding all of the missing Cereal Pieces. Unfortunately, I never was able to complete the ad because every time I ate them. ( What, they’re tasty! >:C )

This ad has an Egyptian theme (hence the pyramid I mentioned…) and, of course, there will be mummies preventing you from getting to the Cereal. Cuz’ everyone knows, mummies LOVE cereal. Can’t get enough of the stuff. Nom. Nom-Nom. After you finish the ad: finding all 6 Cereal Peices (and not eating them :C) you’ll get a Mummy Run Power, which allows you to move quickly (sort of like super-speed), and a Pharaoh Costume. Tut-Tut.

Walk-though video thanks to (once again..!) Kert61. (Geez, that guy is taking credit for everything of late! Something has to be done! Heh, I kid..but not really…)

Credit Song Time!

It’s the eye of the tiger, it’s the cream of the fight
Risin’ up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night
And he’s watchin’ us all in the eye of the tiger

Face to face, out in the heat
Hangin’ tough, stayin’ hungry
They stack the odds ’til we take to the street
For we kill with the skill to survive…
