Hey everybody! It’s me, Young Rider, back with part two of Smart Lightning’s story. Sorry to keep you waiting — the next one should be here in the upcoming weeks. In case you missed it, here’s part one.

Smart Lightning’s disappearance has had no effect on New Tropican, and nobody has noticed the flash.

Meanwhile, Smart Lightning panics as she reappears in a tree, near a golden fruit.

“Hello?” she calls out, taking in her situation.

Another flash appears above her, making her jump.

A loud voice booms out, “Why have you summoned The Flashing?!”

“Who are you?” Smart Lightning responds.

“I am the controller of The Flashing! The wielder of storms! I AM ZEUS!” Zeus shouts, causing Smart Lightning to step back.

Zeus appears above her, along with three cloaked figures. He whispers what sounds like nonsense.

But the cloaked figures step forward, making Smart Lightning take yet another step back. The figures corner her, and she suddenly begins to glow. She does not realize the change, and starts to maneuver around her enemies. It is not until she starts to run that she sees her glowing legs. She stops and stares in shock.

“Now you see, now you will pay!” Zeus takes the advantage, rushing forward along with the figures.

Smart Lightning seems to be paralyzed with shock, and it is not until she is handcuffed with bonds of light that she regains her senses. She is trapped, and reality sets in as her captors grab her. She stops struggling and lets her captors carry her away…

Meanwhile, Brave Star paces her room with a worried expression on her face. She decides to head out to look for Smart Lightning, bringing an umbrella with her. She asks the people she meets on the way if they have seen her, but nobody has.

She starts to head home, but scorched marks on the path make her pause. They form words: “The friend you seek has left your world, moved on to the land of the rulers.”

Brave Star gasps, remembering her medallion collection. She heads off to a rusty shed, uncovering a worn, yellow blimp…

Mixing it up on Elemental Island 💧🔥

Hey Poptropicans! It’s been a hot ~~minute~~ two years since Pop last dropped an ad island, but the upcoming Pixar animated film has inspired a new one on the map: Elemental City. Let’s wade in!

Tapping on Elemental City on the map will take you to — not the city yet, but a billboard on Mythology Island. From there, you can enter through the button. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with a glowing gift box, which gives you Fire Power. This little handheld flame comes with a space bar action that burns you up! 🔥

Head upwards and you’ll find the Cyclone Stadium, where you’ll be invited to a basketball game that involves whizzing around purple clouds and avoiding opponent air-people. When you make it to the net, tap to score! You’ll win an Air Follower, which can cry rain. 🌧️

Catch a ride from the fountain to go further up, where you’ll find the Game Phones building. Here you can play a match-3 game featuring the elemental characters. Click and drag to swap faces to make matches, and when you rack up enough to fill the bar, you can click on your pulsing avatar to get a big boost in points and time. At the end, you’ll win Water Power, with which you can summon a wave! 🌊

Besides all these games and prizes, you can also explore the island to discover some other fun stuff, like meeting various characters from the movie. If you climb the tree building to the very top, you’ll also find a shiny red button, which activates spurts of water that grows flowers. 🌼

That’s all for Elemental City Island, but it’s not the only Disney shindig going on in Poptropica right now — don’t miss the promo for The Little Mermaid remake! 🧜‍♀️ What do you think — is this one to rem-ember? 🕯️

FRIENDLY THUNDER:

Ugh… where am I?

SERVER:

You were sleeping for two months. Nothing could wake you up. Nothing. Your parents sent you to 24 Carrot Island so that you could breathe in the fresh air. Unfortunately, all the carrot-related items went missing soon after you arrived, so we apologize.

My Place in Poptropica: Serious Heart

Hello everyone! Serious Heart here. I’m not back with the first chapter of The Chronicles of Friendly Thunder yet… please bear with me. 😓 Anyway, I’m doing a My Place in Poptropica story.

My username is kh14129335, and I’m mostly active on the weekends if you’d like to friend me. Well then. Let’s get started with the story.

2016 | Scrolling Past Ads

In 2016, I remember seeing ads for a game called Poptropica. At the time, I scrolled past them with disinterest. But four years later, I came upon the game again…

Wheel Talk: We can go around and around on this all day.

2020–2021 | Discovering the Game

I re-discovered the game in the late summer or early fall of 2020. I’m not sure exactly how, but I am pretty sure I was looking up “Wimpy Kid games” on the Wimpy Kid fandom, when I saw either Wimpy Wonderland or Wimpy Boardwalk on it.

A couple of days later, I saw an ad for Poptropica on Coolmath Games and decided to check it out. I saw seven characters I could choose from. I picked the “Old School” one, and voila, I ended up in some clubhouse. After learning about how to decorate my clubhouse, I went out and then completed Snagglemast Island.

Next up, Time Tangled! I earned that medallion. Then…Timmy Failure. I probably replayed that the most times. I’ve memorized how to beat it. Then I saw the remastered Mythology Island with a “Coming Soon” sign on it, then later saw it released. One of my most embarrassing memories is how long it took me to complete it.

I loved Poptropica for almost all of 2021. Then, I left Poptropica… because of a really, really crappy reason. You see, it was after Goofball Island had been released. I had introduced my sister to the game, and we decided not to save her account until after we completed Goofball. We were on the boss battle with Anna Gram… then the screen froze. My sister assured me that it was okay, but I was so mad, I quit the game.

Late 2022 | Rediscovering the Game

I found the game again almost a year later, in October 2022. Then I found out a lot had happened when I was gone. Like, Jade Scarab had been released.

In November 2022, I discovered the PHB. At the time, the newest post was the sixth part of a fanfic called The Witch’s Heart. I decided I wanted to make a fanfiction like that, but I didn’t have the courage to do so.

2023–present | A Big Year

2023 is a big year for me. In January, I finally found the courage to comment on the blog. In February, I found Dizzy Feather’s Poptropica Blog and changed my Poptropica name to Serious Heart.

The Help: With an attitude like that, you’ll go far.

In March, not much happened. But in April, I filled out an application form to be an author on Dizzy Feather’s blog. And the next morning, I was shocked to see an invite from Dizzy Feather, inviting me to be a contributor!

In May, I read through The Witch’s Heart again, and that sparked an idea I had wanted to get out of my head. That’s how The Chronicles of Friendly Thunder came to be.

I don’t know where I’ll go next, but I sure am excited to find out!
