Camping In Line At The Mall – Suspicious?

Hey everyone,

SkyBoy303 here; I just wanted to introduce myself before this post. I’m a new author here and you might know me from my Poptropica blog, anyway Slanted Fish has added me as an author to the awesome Poptropica Help Blog team so hopefully I can help out around here!

That being said, it appears something suspicious seems to be going on at the mall. If you take a look at this picture you can see a bunch of people are waiting in line outside of the mall…

Mall lineup

There’s a few thing that stick out to me and I’ll let you be the judge about what they mean.

First off these aren’t just people waiting in a line, but they are people camping out in a line.  You can tell by the fact that they have chairs, a tent (towards the far left of the picture), and even a computer set up.  That’s kind of suspicious, isn’t it?

Second the more I think about it the more the new Night Watch Island seems to be very “movie” heavy. From the Chinese Theater to the Back To The Future stuff, I feel all these movie references are more than just a coincidence.

What do you all think is the reason for all of this? Leave your comments on this post and maybe we can figure out a good theory by working it out together!

Night Watch Island, Sneak Peeks

A nickel for a ride on a pickle

Welcome to Twin Palms Mall, where rocking on a solo oversized pickle with a marshal’s badge is just a regular activity, nothing to be suspicious about…

But check out that snazzy hat with the black flag! And that Night Watch Island medallion! Plus there’s a new icon in the top corner – a cell phone, perhaps part of your mall cop gear. Can life get any better? The Creators’ Blog reports that Night Watch is coming “very soon,” so stay tuned! 😀

Books and Guides!

Hey, everyone! RD here again!

Never felt like picking up a book? Ever down in the blue and always bored? Perhaps you’ve bought everything on the Poptropica Store and you’ve beat everyone in games. Well then, fear not! In case you’ve forgotten, the creators sent us a kind reminder and a grand homage to all things possible. There are multiple books on Poptropica. Heck, there’s Mad Libs, a guide to Poptropica, and even books for islands that give you clues or hints.

Okay, so maybe you’re no Kafka or Hawthorne. Maybe you don’t like reading long or mundane works that ramble on and on about some life moral. That’s okay! These books are filled with fun dialogue, colorful pictures, and even funny situations, such as in the Mad Libs. Whether you want a guide to Skullduggery Island, or you want just a fun Mad Libs to work on while bored over break, be sure to check out Poptropica books.

Eek! Zombies! To be correct: Zomberries. You’ll find the new Zomberry Island guide quite helpful in your journey to cure the island of its infestation. Need help? Stuck on that final boss/part? Fear not! The Guide is here! You can download this onto either your iOS or Android device. Or, save yourself the effort and just go right on over to the PHB’s Zomberry Island Guide.

Thanks! RD out!

Fionna & Cake video ad and costumes on Poptropica

Fionna and Cake

On Monday, February 18 at 7:30/6:30c, Cartoon Network is having a half-hour special of Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake! (It’s the gender-swapped version of Finn & Jake.) Watch the long video trailer on Main Streets (such as Zomberry or Shark Tooth) and at the end, you’ll receive a bonus costume prize for your Poptropica dude or dudette. Thanks to Mall Manager Clown for the heads-up.

Boys will get the Marshall Guitar of Love (pictured, left) and girls will get the Fionna Sword of Hearts (pictured, right). When you press the spacebar, for boys, your character plays the guitar and hearts will come out; for girls, your character twirls the sword… and, yup, hearts will come out. Enjoy your post-Valentine’s weapons of affection! 😀

UPDATE: Check out the new PHB article, Poptropica: Game Review! It’s listed under Cool Stuff.

Poptropica island trivia now on the PHB!

Island trivia

Did you know that one of the original names for Poptropica was Poptropolis? What do you think of the fact that it’s possible to have a Poptropica name that’s the same as one of the islands? And have you noticed that Gamer Guy’s drink on Zomberry Island, Valley Rain, is a parody of Mountain Dew?

The Poptropica Help Blog now has “Island Trivia” on all our island info pages, documenting all the little things about Poptropica’s islands that you may or may not have missed. Even the island release dates and common rooms are included. Hope you’ll enjoy taking a look at all the trivial details compiled within these pages! If you’ve got any good ones you think are worth mentioning, leave a comment.

Here’s another good one: the inspector’s cottage on Counterfeit Island has a sign that (mis)spells the villain’s name in French! Bet you didn’t see that coming.

In other news, the “blog” prefix has been dropped from the PHB’s URL. That means it’s now PoptropicaHelp.net – shorter to remember and still the place to go for Poptropica help and more. 😀
