Skeletal: Looks like something you’d see on Tatooine.
Guano: Doesn’t it bug you when you step in this stuff?
Time to Crate: Thank Old Man Murray for the measurement.
Nest Egg: We were hoping for an empty nest.
Spiderland: Good morning captain.
Chair Force: That’s great, kid! Don’t get cocky.
Deserted: Monument valley, this isn’t.
In Between: We can fill this with our imaginations.
Between Two Ferns: Where’s the other one?
Hello: Is it me you’re looking for?
Run to the Border: You haven’t lived until you’ve had a street taco.
Hall of Heroes: Meet the stars of our trek.
Get Animated: Things are about to get expressionistic.
Mega: Coming soon to a desktop near you.
Eggscellent: You’re a shell of your former self.
Fly My Pretties: Pry open the third eye and fly.
Among the sneak peeks, it looks like we’ll be traversing strange lands including a desert landscape, mushroom kingdom, a place with galactic food stands (Main Street?), and more. It seems we’llย also be stealing an Egg from a big bird’s nest and encountering some interesting creatures.
For more info on Galactic Hot Dogs Island, check out our GHD trivia page! Remember, also, that you can always browse the entire Daily Pop collection on the PHB’s Sneak Peek Archive.
Nestled among all the GHD pics is this sneak peek for the final installment of Arabian Nights Island, which features the spire with the telescope stand seen in Episode 1, but this time, night has fallen!
Bad Moon Rising: The days are hot but the nights are sizzling.
Finally, since the Creators will be taking a well-deserved break for the holidays, they’ve prepared a “Way Back Week” of peeks from December 26 to January 5, featuring throwback images from years ago. I especially likeย all the designs for E. Vile, the villain of the Legendary Swords mini-quest!
Way Back Week: Many versions of E.Vile for Legendary Swords.
Way Back Week: Bridging cultures on Red Dragon Island.
Way Back Week: Architectural plans for Ghost Story Island.
Way Back Week: Binary Bard’s dreams come to life on Super Villain Island.
Way Back Week: The robot revolution begins on Game Show Island.
Goats Beware: One more throwback. We’re back for real tomorrow.
Again, be sure to check out the PHB’s Daily Pop Sneak Peek Archive (under the Cool Stuff tab) for a complete collection of Daily Pop images with their titles and captions, all the way from when they first began in November 2010 and updated monthly. Stay popping, Poptropicans! ๐
Hey Poptropicans! If you’ve been checking the Daily Pop lately, you may have seen some sneak peeks that may be ofย astronomical interest – because pics for the upcoming Galactic Hot Dogs Island have surfaced! You can see them below (click to enlarge and read full captions):
Mushroom Kingdom: Major fungal infection.
Magic Mushrooms: These things will bounce you super high.
Belt It Out: Someone get Kuiper on the line.
Pilot Seat: Time for your command performance.
Food Court: You’ve got a date with deliciousness.
Food Stand: Instead of walk and talk, walk and chomp.
Bounce Bounce: Dodge an asteroid or you’ll be destroyed.
Intergalactic: Hot dog, this is going to be an exciting adventure!
From this, we can see that the scenery of the new island will be drawn in the Galactic Hot Dogs style, as opposed to Poptropica’s usual style. As for the characters, there’s still a chance they may have Poptropica eyes, but that’s up to the Creators. ๐
Anyway, from the looks of these pictures, we’ll be bouncing on big mushrooms, floating past asteroids, flying through space in Cosmoe’s Neon Wiener, and more on GHD Island, coming soon!
For those who are not familiar with GHD, it’s a graphic novel series published on Poptropica’s sister site, Funbrain, and you can read it for free online. GHD involves the adventures of a boy named Cosmoe who travels through space and runs intoย all sorts of bizarre problems.
If you enjoyed looking through these sneak peeks, be sure to check out the PHB’s Daily Pop Sneak Peek Archive, our complete collection of every Daily Pop image along with their captions. It’s updated every month or so, and a lot of effort went into compiling it together, so enjoy it! ๐
Hey Poptropicans!ย A new common room has been added to PoptropiCon Island: Facili-Tee, located right outside the convention center! Funny that they released this after the island came out, but at least we have a new common room… that hasn’t happened for the past two islands. ๐
By the way, have you found the special “7” balloon in the common rooms yet? It’s quite rare, so it may take several tries, but you’ll win a snazzy 7th birthday costume if you manage to pop it. Good news: the Creators say they’ll be turning up the frequency of the balloon’s appearance, so there’s now a better chance of finding it. ๐ Here’s a video from HPuterpop showing what that looks like:
Poptropica’s birthday party only lasts through September, so once the month ends, so will your chances to get the special costume and free balloon in the Store โ so pick those up quick! Also, you can click here to check out theย recap of the PHB’s celebration of Pop’s 7th birthday. ๐

Poptropica Music tour page
Poptropica Music now has its own page, which you can find here. It currently advertises the Volume One music album, and while you can listen to previews of the first two tracks there, you can hear previews for all the tracks on their actual iTunes and Amazon pages.
If you like listening to Poptropica’s music, check out our Behind the Scenes page, where we’ve listed links to where you can listen to these tracks online through Poptropica’s own files! (Be sure to read the simple instructions on the page to get those links to work.)

Mighty Action Force = Avengers?
Have you noticed that PoptropiCon’s “Mighty Action Force” parodies some of the characters in Marvel’s The Avengers? Gold Face is Iron Man, World Guy is Captain America, and Elf Archer is Hawkeye or Black Widow (not to be confused with the Black Widow of Counterfeit Island!).ย It checks out:
Anyway, just a heads-up that you can find cool trivia facts like this and more on all the PHB’s island trivia pages, which are all listedย under the Island Help hub page. For more PoptropiCon trivia, click here!

Daily Pop: legendary E. Vile & furniture
Among all the recent Daily Pop sneak peeks, these two in particular may be of interest – first is “Props to You”, which features the Legendary Swords villain E. Vile in his spectacular helmetย (and your rocket) as decorations in the PoptropiCon convention hall, and the second is a preview of some furniture, most likely as an upcoming feature for Land (Labs). Here they are:
Props to You: May your legend never fade.
Furnished: Set the place up however you’d like.
Will we ever see a return for Legendary Swords? They used to promise a battle arena at the end of the quest, but this message has inconspicuously been removed from the ending for some time now (after they failed to deliver on it for three years, I might add ๐ ). RIP. ๐ฆ
As for Land, it’s likely we’ll get to play with furniture sometime soon, to further develop the many cool houses (among other awesome things) people have been making —ย but for now, maybe the PHB’sย Land (Labs) guide will help you members get started with this cool feature if you wantย some tips.

Have you ever wondered why Poptropica tends to release islands on Thursdays? While this doesn’t explain why Thursday exactly (Friday in some time zones), they did recently address the question (brought up by Poptrickia) via their official Twitter:
—
PoptropiConย (guide here) had itsย first episode debut just last week for members, but if you’re wondering what’s up next, a good place to look are the Daily Pop sneak peeks. Let’s take a look at what we’ll be seeing inside the convention centerย (click to enlarge images):
Collect Em All: Keep them in the original packaging and they may be worth dozens someday.
Victory: It’s in the cards.
Hall Pass: Low-pill carpet for a high-traffic area.
The Help: With an attitude like that, you’ll go far.
Look Closer: It’s what’s under the cap that matters.
Silver Age: This archer gets right to the point.
Marvelous: A real stand-up comic booth.
History Lesson: Golden age, silver age, outrage… we’ve got it all.
Brony: Don’t say no, here we go, off across the plain.
You Hall: The swag bag is loaded, but where’s the exit?
Off-Screen: But we’re monitoring the situation.
Among all the random tidbits, it looks like there’ll be a booth for a comic hero called Elf Archerย — created by some guy called “Stan Ditko”: a reference to Marvel Comics co-creators Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Plus, there’s even a Balloon Boy collectible that can be seen on a table!
And not far from the My Little Pony mimicry (“Pony Bros”… even the Daily Pop’s caption is “Brony”), there’s a poster for “Lava Twins” — it may be a long shot, but could this be a reference to a film called The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl? Yes, you read that right, “Shark Boy”: like the beloved Poptropica character who no longer is. (You can read all about the Shark Boy Mystery here!)

Although it’s beenย about two years and ten islands since Super Villain Island, Brave Tomato recently uncovered this little snippet of Poptropica Creator Jeff Kinney working on it on a computer. It may not look like much, but it’s a pretty neat find nonetheless:
This came from a “making of” bonus feature on the Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days DVD, where they talked briefly about Jeff and Poptropica. (Jeff is also the author of the Wimpy Kid series.) Speaking of Jeff Kinney, I wonder if/when we’ll get to see his ice bucket challenge? ๐

In other news, issue 19 of the PHB magazine, The POPCORN, releases this Sunday, Sept 7th, so be sure to have your creative entries sent in to phbpopcorn(at)gmail(dot)com before then! That’s all for now (or TAFN, as HP the hip one likes to say)! Keep on poppin’ on, Poptropicans. ๐
Hey everyone! HP and I were looking behind the scenes and found Arabian Nights: Episode 1’s name & much more about the island! The name is: How Bazaar.
The name is so suitable to this island from what we’ve seen. Some recent Daily Pops have been showing a market, which in the Middle East is called a bazaar.
Whattya Buyin: Got some good things on sale, stranger.
The sneak peek description above tells us we are strangers to the area, which goes with the pitch given by the CYDI contest winner:
On Arabian Nights Island, Poptropicans go on a quest across the desert to rescue a sultan’s genie from the Forty Thieves.
The pitch also mentionsย “sultan’s genie from the Forty Thieves”. Arabian Nightsย Island is based on the classic tales ofย Aladdin and the King of Thieves andย Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. Now, let’s go back to the name of the firstย episode: How Bazaarย (nice pun, Creators :P).
Afterย putting all the pieces together and using a bit of reasoning, my prediction is this:ย You are at the bazaar and the forty thieves take the genie and you travel the desert trying to rescue the genie.
The Creators are making this island in episodes once again, so this won’t happen all in one episode. It’s just my prediction of the basic plot of the island. This week I will make another groundbreaking post about Arabian Nights, so stay tuned! c:
