I had an idea recently. Maybe I should change my name from Coskit (which so many have laughed at) to Daedalus, the Greek inventor and the son of Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom. As some of you know or have found out I, along with a lot of other awesome people, work on Poptropica; however, I am NOT the one to email or ask questions about Poptropica. I am like crazy busy – I hardly have time to even look at my blog or even post. Sorry.

Well, on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, Reality TV island was released to Members. This is more that 2 years after  the Creators first announced RTV. Members seem very excited about RTV, and I’m sure Smockers is even happier because I’ve heard tell that Hippie Man is alive and well. While the Members *gag* frolic happily  in RTV and us NonMembers sit and wait until March 24, we’re planning an attack on the Creators on account of Membership. Bring your hand items!!!! I’ve got mah FLAMETHROWER.

Get Real!

The new Reality TV island is now available early with Poptropica membership! If you don’t have membership, Reality TV will still be out and FREE for everyone on March 24th!

The rooms were MY idea – for Coderkid’s Colossal Contest! My entry was “customizable rooms, with furniture, decorations, and such.” This almost proves that the Creators read this blog! Awesome!!!! Everyone, please vote for rooms. It would be even more awesome if they credit the Poptropica Help Blog for the idea of rooms.

Can’t you see why I’m really mad at the Creators now? I mean, seriously… ONE MONTH LATER?! Ridonkulous! (That means ridiculous to a very, very high level.) Again, if you don’t mind, can we throw an angry mod here? Please? Please? No? Aw, c’mon, you guys are no fun… can’t we at least just kill the Creators? Seriously, yeah, you guys ARE no fun… -_-

Anyway, GAH!! OMIGAWD!!! RTV, PEOPLE!!! The fame! The TV! The Hippie Men! The pop singer girls with nasty attitudes! But mostly, the Island we’ve been waiting for for… uh… let’s see now… erg… testing. Testing. Testing. Tesssssting! TESTING. **Excuse me, NW is busy trying to figure out when the hev the Creators said they were going to make RTV. Please enjoy this snazzy ringtone while you wait.** AHA SEPTEMBER 24, 2008! Jeez Creators, that was totally annoying… Don’t do this on the next Island, will yah? XD At least it’s gonna be out now though… wooohooo! Oh, and yeah… Guess that means your Hippie Man will be ready in a week, Smockers. 🙂

Hello, little Earthlings. As I was perusing the Earth literary material and looking for a way to pass the time on this planet, I came across a post on the PCB called Shuffleboard.

And for all you fans of this island called Reality TV, (TV? What is this strange Earthling invention?), the name of this image is….

“RealityTVPreview” !!  This almost assuredly proves that RTV is in the works, as the last RTV post was quite a while ago.

Shuffleboard seems to be another game in the making; not a multiplayer game but a game against the Reality TV contestants of the island. as you can see, at the top of the image are faces of people (some previewed in earlier RTV sneak peeks) and their ranking in the game. More interestingly, there seems to be a mime in the picture! And shuffleboard will probably be a fun game to play.

Well, enjoy your upcoming trip to this RTV Island, as the natives call it. (This Earth is such a very different place than where I come from.)

*rocket engine starts……rocket flies off*

Random Civilian 1: Hey, look, was that a spaceship? Aliens! *screams and runs in circles*

Random Civilian 2: Nah, there are no such things as aliens. Calm down, man.

[Update] DaVinci: Everyone, there is a new PCB post. I don’t think it’s big enough to merit another PHB post, but there is some pretty sweet info in it – regarding the upcoming membership feature! For example, the Creators hint that “This is key, since we are planning on releasing some pretty sweet islands this year!”

Regarding the many concerns about Poptropica itself still being free, the PCB mentions – “Remember, even if you don’t have credits or membership, the Poptropica Islands are always 100% FREE for all to play!” So, this is ultimately awesome. :D ;)

There’s a sweet new advertisement on every island on Poptropica… for EVERY AGE. :O I don’t think this has ever happened before!  This is a historical moment *tear*.  Um, anyway, it’s the Honey Nut Cheerios: Honey Defender Game Ad (Thanks Bobitator for the update!).  This advertisement doesn’t have any plot or task; there’s just a costume, a video, and a quiz game. 😀 You just go inside the huge hive and jump around.

It shows some kind of weird game that to me looks similar to pool or something… IDK.  The characters above are probably the contestants you are going against in RTV.  Some new characters are the chef, the elder woman, train/bus driver (I’m guessing), and the elder man on the right.  I think the place where the mime is is where you would be… I’m not sure, it’s just a random guess. 😀
