Moving on… the day your Poptropican turns miniature (if it hasn’t already) will be the day Shrink Ray Island releases to the public! And that day is…

July 28th!

That’s about two weeks away from now. Not to worry, the PHB already has our Shrink Ray island resources up and ready on our Island Help page, which links to our written walkthrough guide with Shrink Ray Island cheats, a labeled map, video playlist tutorial, and if you’re still stuck, an ever-helpful discussion page!

In other news, thanks to PHB reader Angry Wing we have learned the names of some more Poptropica Creators – Cara Campanelli, who handles customer support, and Kevin McGrath, who used to work as Poptropica’s customer support. And thanks to Crazy Thunder, who gave us the identity of Jon Pitcher, alias Master Mime, and John “J.T.” Gallant, an intern at Poptropica. Hello everyone, it’s EP back again for another new post based on the..*drumroll*…TOP 10 FINISHERS OF SHRINK RAY ISLAND! Let’s give it up for the top 10 people! The new PCB post details the first people to finish. Personally, I think they should include an exact amount of time for us. Just an idea to keep track on how long it took to finish each island. 😉 Anyways, here goes the new PCB post:

Finished…already?! Boy, it t0ok me 30 minutes just to find out how to get shrinked to miniature size 0.0…a fail, I know :D. I was walking around and didn’t know what to do. I heard it took most people HOURS if not more than a day to figure it out. Luckily, I had help finishing the island and writing out my guide along the way (special thanks to Hijuyo for her amazing edits and publishing).

But the top 10 finished this fast?! Someone could’ve finished in an hour and still not be top 10. A lot of my friends woke up at 7 or 6 in the morning just to get on before the servers were flooded with people. These people must’ve finished less than my buddies’ times. Some people just work fast I guess ;). The top 10 people of epicness are:Funny Lobster, Super Fox, Curious Popper, Squeezy Hamburger, Prickly Spider, Crazy Dolphin, Fearless Tornado, Sleepy Horse, Silver Foot, and finally, Grey Icicle. Job well done :D.

On another note to all the awesome readers of this Poptropica blog: I will be leaving on Sunday at 5:00 PM to catch a 7:00 PM flight back to China to visit relatives and such. I really do hope the flight won’t be that boring and monotonous like last time. I had to be in a seat all night with a 10 year old telling me at least a dozen stories :/ about how “he liked squirrels.”

I’ll be on vacation there for some time enjoying the hot weather, enjoying the food and cuisine, visiting some people, and visiting some historical sights. Unfortunately, there are drawbacks of going to a communist country :(. The Chinese government doesn’t like “freedom of speech” so they’ve pretty much banned all religious sites, all email communication, like gmail and yahoo, unless approved by the government. So yeah, a really bad thing about visiting.

I’m telling you this because I may be inactive on posting for this blog for part of my stay because of sight seeing and such. But fear not, readers, I’ve installed a private proxy server to hide my IP so I can surf the web in an anonymous proxy location and visit sites that I normally can’t visit there like Gmail or Blogger or even WordPress (phew).

So I can still post time to time and be on the chat, although your morning is my night in the USA so no one will be on at the chat room..except maybe Hijuyo, since we’ll be living in the same region :D, so yeah. That’s pretty much it. I’ll post time to time on the blog and make sure all posts are updated each day when I come back from wherever I’m going. I’m still able to surf the web with a private proxy. I’ll be there for 2 weeks and be back in about 16 days to be active again. Wish me a good voyage, people! Thanx.

Poptropica Members have full access to the newest Poptropica adventure. Non-Members can also try out the special Early Access demo. Head on over to Poptropica and see what the big deal is!

Well, the fact that it isn’t fully available for non-members was a bit of a disappointment at our PHC Countdown Party, but at least the non-mems still get more than they usually do – an early access demo of the island! Paying members get to enjoy the entire island first, as usual. PHB staff member ElmoPwns has already written a walkthrough guide with all the Shrink Ray Island cheats, which you can check out by clicking here!

Shrink Ray Island is also Poptropica’s 20th island! HAPPY TWENTY, POPTROPICA! (And to think I could have counted the number of islands there were on one hand when I first started playing…) They’ve just released the trailer video for it, too, so take a look!

Remember: Being tiny can be fun, but don’t lose your true self and size!

Time is shrinking: the Countdown for Shrink Ray Island

It won’t be long now.

Thursday, June 30th, is the promised day for the release of Shrink Ray Island. There’s a countdown timer on the Poptropica homepage so you’ll know exactly what time it’s released, all the way down to the seconds.

So using the current time on the countdown timer and the time it is right now in your area, calculate what time it will be for you when Shrink Ray Island comes to life.

Then show up at the Poptropica Help Chatroom half an hour ahead of that time so the whole Poptropica community can count down with you in anticipation of the island’s release.

And when the time comes… we’ll all play together.

In today’s small post, the Creators revealed the small map for the next new island, Shrink Ray, which is open this Thursday!

Shrink Ray Island is coming this Thursday, June 30. Here’s your first look at the Shrink Ray Island map.

You’ll explore much of Shrink Ray Island as a teeny tiny Poptropican. Good thing we didn’t shrink the map, too!

Looks interesting! One of those looks like it connects to the science fair place, and the other I guess connects to the lab?

There’s even a countdown timer on the front page of Poptropica so you’ll know all the way down to which SECOND that Shrink Ray Island is released! (Smart move – now people won’t get confused about the very exact time of release!) The image to the right shows what it looks like.

Anyways, I can’t wait for the new island! 😀 Hope you all have fun out there being small, and possibly getting stomped on! XD
