Coolio! The portion of the tree looks like one from Counterfeit Island. I wonder……

Next update: Loud Shark has taken a picture of a new island that was only on the homepage for an hour. Very interesting… Pic below:

I also noticed that there’s no info page for it. Hmmmmm…….

Some definitions for cryptids are posted below (thanks pengyzu, LazyFeather, and Alec Warper!) :

Pengyzu: Cryptid basically is something unexplainable by Science. Like extinct dinos walking in present day. Examples are the Loch Ness Monster and Aliens.

LazyFeather: A cryptid is an animal or creature whose existence is unrecognized. Famous cryptids are Big Foot, Yeti, and The Loch Ness Monster. Maybe it has something to do with monsters…

Alec Warper: In cryptozoology and (to a lesser degree) cryptobotany, a cryptid (from the Greek “κρύπτω” (krypto) meaning “hide”) is a creature or plant whose existence has been suggested but that is unrecognized by a scientific consensus, and whose existence is moreover often regarded as highly unlikely.

There’s a new Barbie *choking sound* Girls *gag* ad for girs (yes I had to make a girl account. The sacrifices I make for you guys…) Thanks to 101ab.boon for posting this on the PHF. I found it on a 12 yr old account on Steamworks, Early Poptropica, Shark tooth, Time Tangled, 24 Carrot, Super Power. Comment if you find any other ages or islands!

Basically what you do is go inside the ad (obviously…) and talk to *choke* Barbie *gag* and she’ll explain her problem.

Ughhh, — I thought her legs were abnormally long...?

After you overcome the horror of talking to a plastic owner of the highest pitched and most annoying voice in all reality she’ll tell you what’s up. Or down, or nowhere really…

Barbie... disgusting — Life in plastic: Not fantastic!

You help her choose a costume when you say “What choices do I have?” And you need to choose the coustume that *Cough* Barbie *choke* is describing. E.g. “I need a costume with a bit more of a buzz!” A bee. When you choose the right one she’ll give you a ‘Cat Costume” (So bad luck if you’re allergic to cats like me) You costumise that, and run to your right. Talk to the Secret Agent (who fails to reconise you as you director so remember to fire her later) and she’ll let you go into the party. Basically that’s that except you get to meet a few old friends! Do you reconise these two?

Finally, GOOD memories — Having a Fang-tastic time with old friends... who forgot their punch?! :O

Furry monster… carnival?

Justly named Furry Monsters 1-4 (see above pic; 1-4 are in order left to right), these new [and so far, unannounced] releases to the Poptropica Store mean you can now get what used to be ultra-rare leaked costume parts (wings, horns, fur bodies) for only 75 credits per costume! Here’s what they say:

Furry Monster 1: “Monster is the new black.”
Furry Monster 2: “Don’t hate me because I’m spooky.”
Furry Monster 3: “Be a hit at the next monster bash!”
Furry Monster 4: “Guaranteed to shock and frighten!”

And apparently, the available furry monsters are actually different by your gender! So there’s actually more of a variety available, and the good news is, they’re all AWESOME!

These creatures resemble the leaked costumes of “Monster Carnival Island”, the unreleased island that appeared on the Poptropica Map in early 2008 and mysteriously never went live. (Instead, as older players may recall, it was replaced by 24 Carrot.) As far as the Creators are showing us, they probably won’t be releasing this Monster Carnival Island.

So these monster costumes aren’t very rare any more, now that anyone can obtain them… but they’re still cool! Don’t you just love those critter bits? 😀

Ad building news according to Sunset1624: “There’s also a new ad for girls (I found it on my 12 year old account) called Barbie Girls Halloween Bash. You help Barbie pick out a good costume for the party, and when you pick out a costume she likes (it could be any) you get a cat costume for yourself and you get to go to the Halloween party. You can’t costumize any of the good costumes though. The only costumes you can costumize are the costumes of the same people from the Haunted House.”

Actually, the game won’t begin until ————-. But here’s the new ad I wanted to point out. Karate Kid! It can be found on Skullduggery or Spy. You apparently grab all the jars with the right symbols on them. And avoid the bullies. You’ll be awarded a karate kid outfit and kick move.

You might also come across an ad for Tower Prep, an upcoming Cartoon Network TV show. There isn’t a game or anything in this one; just dummies for Costumizing the costumes. Loud Shark took some pics for us:

Don’t get caught on Fish Hooks!

FishHooks Ad — Welcome, freshmen... to Fresh Water High!

As I was doing Steamworks Island on one of my accounts, I came across an ad — Fish Hooks! It’s an original series on Disney Channel that apparently premieres tonight! It’s a little quest where you have to find Bea’s yearbook picture and switch it! If you need help, here’s a written walkthrough:

Enter the tank and talk with Milo, Oscar, and Bea. They need help finding Clamantha. Bea gives you a replacement photo for her yearbook picture, and Milo gives you a note to distract Clamantha saying Oscar needs to talk with her alone. After you get those 2 items, walk right into Hokey Poke *snigger*
Talk to Shellsea in Hokey Poke Restaurant, and she gives you a key to the yearbook room. Exit and then enter Freshwater High.
Walk all the way to the end, and use the key to unlock the yearbook room. Enter.
Avoid the giant pearls being shot out at you but make it quick, because there are lasers that block the doors every 5 seconds or so. They get removed once all the lasers have blocked the door. Once avoided, walk into the photo room. TIP! If you have minimizer, use it then run straight across on the ground at pearls part.~Jane
Talk to Clamantha and give her the note that Milo gave you. She says she needs to leave right away (because she has a crush on him) and leaves the room. Click on the photos.
You have to find the photo in 15 seconds or you lose. If you find it in time, you win the quest! Your rewards are an Underwater Effect, which, when turned on, makes the screen fill with water that stays on until you turn it off, or leave the room you’re currently in; and an official Fish Hooks T-shirt! Congratulations! 😀

Islands found on so far: Steamworks, Mythology, Early Poptropica, Super Power (If you find any more island with this ad, just comment below!)
Age Limit: I think any age will work… I found it on my 12 yr old account. 😀
