Adore and explore new store items

Hola, Poptropicanos! It’s Lucky Joker here, popping in with some news.

First off, seven all-new items have been added into the store! The new inventory consists of four costumes (Boho Chic, Fruity Cutie, Lazy Days, Dangerous Waters) and three other fun extras (Dolphin Follower, Octo-Prank, Coconut Drink). Here’s everything pictured below:

Also, there’s a new advertisement on Home Island for the new Dora movie, Dora and the Lost City of Gold — coming to theaters August 9!

There are two prizes to be collected, and to do so, all you have to do is watch the short video trailer. Afterwards, you’ll receive two Adventurer Outfits (on one card) and a slightly creepy Boots in the Backpack!

Long live the pony

Hello, everyone — it’s Lucky Joker here! We’ve got little ponies and large cats in this update.

Poptropica announced the release of a new pet that I’m sure many of you will love: the pony! You can find it in the Pet Barn right now. Take a look at this adorable artwork by Pop Creator, Blue Tooth, showing the little stallion:

I got one and made it my own by coloring it pink and adding a rainbow unicorn horn on it. I haven’t decided on a name yet, so feel free to leave any suggestions in the comments! 🙂

Unfortunately, the new pony pet is only available to members, so non-members still only have the puppy and the kitten as options. Maybe we’ll get some new pets in the future that will be available to everyone soon!

Moving on to the advertisement, a new video stand can be found on Home Island for Disney’s upcoming live-action feature, The Lion King — which hits theaters July 18.

To get the prize, all you have to do is, well, watch the video. Tada! A Simba Mane & Roar just for you. Are you gonna see the movie?

Redesigned buzz page and flexing Buzz Wings

Hey Poptropicans, it’s Slanted Fish. In this update, we’ve got redesigned pages and two new ads. Let’s pop right into it!

As you can see for yourself, the Poptropica Creators’ Blog has finally received its design update, so we can now catch up on the latest buzz on a page that matches the modern look of the rest of the Poptropica website which had a makeover two months ago. (Curiously, the icons on the sides don’t currently hyperlink to anything…)

Included in that makeover was a matching design for the other pages linked at the top of the Poptropica website, including the FAQs, which have been updated to reflect some recent changes regarding features like friends. (RIP to the good-old, gone-but-not-forgotten “add friends by username” feature!)



And, just days ago, the Poptropica homepage changed visuals to display the promo image for 2017’s release of Crisis Caverns Island, which is only on Poptropica Worlds. Could this mean a revival for Pop Worlds?

Still no link to Worlds on the Pop website yet, but will that change? That remains to be seen.

In other news, Poptropica’s got a couple of ads going! These may look familiar, but they’re slightly different from past iterations. On this ad for the upcoming Toy Story 4, watch the quick trailer video to get Buzz Wings Power! Tapping the space bar while wearing this will make you fly up for a moment before coming back down to touch the ground.

There’s also an ad game for Big City Greens, the Disney Channel show. Like last year’s version of the ad, the prize is a Cricket Follower (if you already got it last year, you may not get it again) (thanks for the tip, Mighty Pear!).

Anyway, it’s a fun little find-the-items game that’s more of a challenge than usual. See pics below for answers:

School’s out, member gifts in

What’s up, Poptropicans? It’s Lucky Joker here, and even if out you’re not out of school quite yet, June’s member gifts are here and it’s time for the summer fun to begin (if you’re in the northern hemisphere, that is 😛)!

This month, if you’re a member, a Skater Outfit, Ice Cream Cone, and Water Balloon Prank will all be added to your inventory upon login. Pretty rad. 😎

Over on the Instagram post announcing the new items, Poptropica received a few comments asking about the future state of Poptropica.

One user asked, “Are you shutting down due to Adobe Flash shutting down?…” to which the Creators replied with “Nope, We’ll still be here! Our devs are working on porting to a new platform.” That’s a great relief! I’m sure most of us thought Poptropica Original would be no more in 2020.

The same Poptropican also asked, “…Also are new islands ever going to come?” The Creators responded, “We’ll see! 👀” Could this mean we’ll be finally getting a new island adventure soon? I certainly hope so! It’s been quite a while now, to say the least….

In other news, there’s a new video ad for the upcoming Toy Story 4 movie on Home Island. All you gotta do is hit play, watch the trailer, and voila! — a Forky Follower just for you.

Milk it! It’s delicious AND nutritious 🥛

Hey Poptropicans! Did you know that drinking milk, which contains calcium, helps give you stronger bones? It’s true!

Or, put it another way: Tastes good. Good for you. That’s it… and that’s the premise of Poptropica’s latest ad campaign, “Milk it!”

Head on over to the “Milk it!” ad building on Home Island and you can click into a YouTube channel promoting good old healthy milk.

And this being an ad on Poptropica, there’s bound to be some fun involved! Talk to the first kid you see inside to begin a game. It’s a simple run-and-jump deal, where you click up to jump over people and other obstacles. You get to pick one of two characters to play as, and you have 60 seconds.

If you reach the finish line in time, you’ll win two prizes: a Sports Outfit (press space bar to shoot the yellow basketball) and Milk Bottle handheld item (comes in three colors: regular milk, chocolate milk, and strawberry milk).
