Meanwhile on Twitter, Pop Creator Jon Pitcher continues to share throwbacks from his career with the game, from the early days with Spy Island to a showcase of famous Poptropicans, including a not-so-subtle relabeling for Shark Boy/Guy, which is a whole story in itself. 🦈

All these nostalgic tweets coupled with Poptropica’s inactivity with the game and Creators’ Blog has some players wondering if the end is near for Pop. It’s only speculation, but it doesn’t help that Poptropica ignores the call-outs from fans across social media — even ours!

But while they may act as couch potatoes in that respect, they’re still busy pumping out memes and reacting to fan content on social media.

Hey Poptropicans! Before I start this new story, I just want to share with you that this fanfic idea is inspired by a comment from Magic Kid on another post of mine, The Story of White Cloud, Part 2. Now let’s begin.

It was a dark, starry night on Goofball Island. The stars didn’t light up anything in Dullsville, though, because it was so dull. Anna Gram had just become a detective, and she browsed the street for a mystery. She became hungry and hurried over to the Dusty Crust Bakery.

ANNA: “Hello! Seen any mystery?!”

Anna had just moved to Dullsville, but she had lived in Goofside for a while. So whenever she talked, she was super cheerful.

BAKER: “All I’ve seen is bread. Want some?”

ANNA: “Why are you so dull?”

BAKER: “Why are you so goofy?”

ANNA: “Because I’ve been living in Goofside!”

BAKER: “And I’ve been living in Dullsville. Now, would you like some bread or not?”

ANNA: “Yes!”

The baker handed Anna some bread.

BAKER: “Don’t pay. Money is colourful.”

Anna took a bite of the bread, or she would have, if she could bite it.

ANNA: “First mystery: find out why this bread is the opposite of normal!”

Witty Toothpick and Jazzy Hawk’s hands are an inch apart.

Toothpick is frightened out of his wits. The zombies below him reach up to grab him again. Hawk reaches as far as he can, hand outstretched. 

It’s a frightening moment where anything could happen — Hawk might reach farther and possibly save Toothpick right then.

Toothpick falls down another inch in a millisecond, and Hawk reaches further out, the events seeming to happen in very slow motion.
