Poptropica Superstars: Sporty Boa

Introducing our last Poptropica Superstar for the week: Sporty Boa!

Sporty Boa is a longtime Poptropica Member who was among the first to finish Shrink Ray Island. She’s also an expert Star Link player, with a lifetime record of 29 wins and only 2 losses! You might want to think twice before accepting that challenge in a common room.

Congratulations, Sporty Boa, on being today’s Poptropica Superstar!

We’ll be sure to feature more Poptropica Superstars in the future, so keep an eye out. The next Poptropica Superstar could be you!

Congrats, Sporty Boa– and wow, not only was she one of the first to finish the newest island, she’s a pro at Star Link. Only 2 losses! I’d keep my eyes peeled out, and better not accept any Star Link challenges any time soon! πŸ˜‰

Silly Dr Hare, we promise not to overthrow you.

Ello dears, ’tis Lady RCG from merry old England.

Ever since that hooligan Wolfgang *ducks objects thrown by rabid PWH and Wolfgang fans* sent me here, I’ve been stuck in this place. I suppose that’s an excuse *cough* as to why I haven’t been posting.

Not that I need an excuse, right? Everyone loves me!

Okay, okay. Meanies. On to the update.

Dr. Hare’s impostor revealed!

At last, I have discovered the identity of the counterfeit Dr. Hare. Unfortunately, the truth is worse than I had feared.

Anyone who gets the Dr. Hare 6″ figure will also receive a secret code that will allow them to costumize Dr. Hare for the first time ever. That means that anyone could be disguised as Dr. Hare! There will be Dr. Hares all over Poptropica!

Oh, this won’t do. This won’t do at all.

Ah, an ad showing off the new Dr. Hare figurine. I see what you did thar, creators.

LOLJK Creators. We love it when you post random advertisement updates.

Pft, too bad the Dr. Hare cheat is no longer effective ( πŸ˜₯ ).

Wha– what? Oh, right, we have to buy those action figurine-thingies.

As explained in elmopwn’s post, these figurines are little toys that come with codes. As you redeem them, prizes come with them– such as the Dr. Hare costume we shall all be using to tear down the real Dr. Hare with.

Eh? I didn’t say that.

~RCG is off to scheme…

Red Dragon Island, Sneak Peeks

Coming soon, Red Dragon Island!

Announcing the next Poptropica Island!

You’ve seen the Sneak Peeks. You’ve watched the teaser trailer. And now we can reveal for the first time that the next Poptropica Island is…

Red Dragon Island! And it’s brought to you with the help of our friends at Magic Tree House. Prepare for an epic journey to ancient Japan!

We’ll have much more information about Red Dragon Island in the days to come. In the meantime, you can visit the travelmap on Poptropica right now to access the special sneak preview of Red Dragon Island — a Sumo wrestling tournament!

Well, looks like I was wrong, it has nothing to do with red turtles– in fact, it’s something even cooler.

After speculating about the video that was posted by the Creators, the secret has in fact, been revealed. It’s been confirmed– the new island, Red Dragon Island, is possibly based on the book “Dragon of the Red Dawn” part of the Magic Tree House series, by Mary Pope Osbourne.

A man stood to the side and told a story to the audience.

“What’s he saying?” said Annie.

“He is telling the legend of the Cloud Dragon,” said Basho. “The Cloud Dragon is one of the guardian animals of the four directions. She has the power of flight and commands the rain clouds.”

~Basho being a smart alec, Mary Pope Osbourne

Heh heh... *breathes out smoke*

Don’t forget to check out the sneak preview! Fat guys Sumo wrestlers. Fun!

(Don’t make fun though, looks like you’ve gained some pounds too.)

Better start working out. And what better way than a little sumo wrestling?

Here you’ll have to beat another sumo wrestler. Several, actually! Talk to the ref standing by the platform to get started.

Prepare for impact! Push or be pushed!

You’ll have to go through 20 rounds, 4 ranks, beating several people, to get each costume. (Well, at least if you’re a member. -__-)

Here’s the Maegashira costume, the first rank:

Just one? 😦 *sigh* Lucky members.

Good luck!

The wrestler ranks are:

  1. Juryo (starter)
  2. Maegashira (highest for non-members)
  3. Sanyaku
  4. Ozeki
  5. Yokozuna (highest for members)
Here’s Juyo’s character as a heavy Maegashira! (Interesting how the starter rank is called ‘Juryo,’ almost like Juyo!)

Just for fun: Did you know that Red Dragon is also a possible Poptropica player name? Now isn’t that cool. πŸ™‚
