Red Dragon Island! And it’s brought to you with the help of our friends at Magic Tree House. Prepare for an epic journey to ancient Japan!

Well, looks like I was wrong, it has nothing to do with red turtles– in fact, it’s something even cooler.
Dragons!
After speculating about the video that was posted by the Creators, the secret has in fact, been revealed. It’s been confirmed– the new island, Red Dragon Island, is possibly based on the book “Dragon of the Red Dawn” part of the Magic Tree House series, by Mary Pope Osbourne.
A man stood to the side and told a story to the audience.
“What’s he saying?” said Annie.
“He is telling the legend of the Cloud Dragon,” said Basho. “The Cloud Dragon is one of the guardian animals of the four directions. She has the power of flight and commands the rain clouds.”

Here you’ll have to beat another sumo wrestler. Several, actually! Talk to the ref standing by the platform to get started.
You’ll have to go through 20 rounds, 4 ranks, beating several people, to get each costume. (Well, at least if you’re a member. -__-)
Here’s the Maegashira costume, the first rank:

The wrestler ranks are:
- Juryo (starter)
- Maegashira (highest for non-members)
- Sanyaku
- Ozeki
- Yokozuna (highest for members)
- Here’s Juyo’s character as a heavy Maegashira! (Interesting how the starter rank is called ‘Juryo,’ almost like Juyo!)
Just for fun: Did you know that Red Dragon is also a possible Poptropica player name? Now isn’t that cool. 🙂

Ugh a Magic Tree House Island! I don’t really care for those Magic Tree house Books.

I’ve never heard of Magic tree House. Is it a book series or something?
Hijuyo: Yup. I personally read it as a kid and liked it then. 🙂 It also has some educational aspects in its books.
I have several. My favorite is Twister on Tuesday.
It seems the last few islands have been sponsored by some kind of thing. 😛
That mini game is easy.
Now they are forcing us to get membership by not allowing us all the game features (leveling up in the sumo wrestling contest) thus making us non-members to feel bad
I’m a member and the last costume gets you a costume that stomps angrily when you press the space bar. The screen also shakes. Most of the costumes are the same except different colors. The last one has a different belt though.

I like the idea, I didn’t expect the Japanese part at first, since there are so many books that could’ve been made into islands. I found out later that there is reason to believe that Japan is working on a Magic Tree House movie set to appear next year, and I can’t help but feel that this is somehow connected. Does anyone else have any input to this theory?
I wonder if Red Dragon island will be ruined after the volcano, because, Japan is in the Ring of Fire and Japan has been shaking in real life. Ok that would be scary been shaken… Dizzy…
