The Poptropolypse Games?

Hey guys, BT here. Now, there’s been some peculiar activity in the island of the Poptropolis Games. Apparantly, when you go on the map, you see that island shaking and a question mark icon over it. Here’s the news article the Creators had released:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DECEMBER 21, 2012 — We are tracking reports of seismic activity in the North Poptropica Sea. Initial data indicates that the tremors are based in the proximity of the Poptropolis Games. Mews Foundation seismologists are en route to the location to investigate further. At present, there is no reason to fear widespread earthquakes or further damage to the Poptropolis ruins.
This is a breaking news story… updates as events warrant…

Okay. An earthquake. …Huh?

We all know today’s date: 12/21/12. But what’s with this whole earthquake thing? Unless…

is Poptropolis going back into the sea for another 100 years? Could be a possibility. In the meantime, we can only wonder what the heck are those Creators up to…

Hey guys, Zomberry Island is now available for Poptropican Members! Nonmembers can play the demo, but they have to wait until Thursday, January 10th to play the whole thing. And as you can see above, the screen has dimmed and the homepage has its regular Poptropicans replaced with a bunch of….slow….moving…zombies………..really…..slow…moving….

There’s no guide for it yet, but stay tuned to the Poptropica Help Blog for one coming soon! 😉 Update: Check out the Zomberry Island Guide page and get help from the full walkthrough written by Samwow5. The video playlist and map is also up.

It seems like our suspicions were correct when we said that the smoothies are responsible for the demise of Eastman as they know it. One girl’s coughing after sipping a smoothie, and another looks like he’s going to faint. Then lucky Fred’s eating plain ordinary fruit and seems to be okay. Oh great… this is gonna get dark.

Were you originally planning to spend the holidays with a bunch of zomberries? It seems like the action will begin next page…

Sheesh, this Joe Puddy guy doesn’t give a care for those fruits. Especially not that “Banantelope” (RIP). I don’t think an apocalypse possibly caused by fruit smoothies would change his mind at all. But… hmm… I’m getting suspicious of him. It looks like he wishes people would shut up about fruits. The lady (it looks like she could be either his wife or his sister) is really trying to shove that banana down his throat too.

Now, what’s gonna happen next??? We’ll find out most likely tomorrow!

Zomberry: Day Zero- Part One of Six

Now, the Creators have done something that they haven’t done in a LONG time…. made a comic promoting an island! It’s called Zomberry: Day Zero, and it’s going to be a 6-part comic describing the origin story of Zomberry Island! The first page has been released today. Here it is:

Joe Puddy… that’s one of the names on the Dawn of the Dead spoof printable poster! But it seems like the lady with the beret’s going to be important to… who is she?

It seems like in a city filled with fruit-eating Poptropicans, Joe’s the only one who prefers meat. And the lady’s pretending Joe’s a hungry lion with the “banantelope” being his prey or something like that. Well, we’re probably going to find out more about this new comic in the days to come! In the meantime, we can only wonder what caused this Zomberry Apocalypse.
