Lunar Colony Island

When the engines cough, and you blast off: Lunar Colony for members!

Remember to breathe because oxygen may be limited up there, but of course that’s all provided. Lunar Colony Island has been released to paid members of Poptropica, and everyone else can play a demo, but will have to wait three more weeks for their turn for the big adventure on September 6th.

The Poptropica Help Blog is working on a written walkthrough. In the meantime, our Lunar Colony Guide page does have a video from the YouTuber InsidersNetwork and is open for comment discussions where you can help each other out by asking and answering questions.

Have the time of your life in the greatest space journey ever, but come home safely!

Pinocchio on the PHC (another great place to get Poptropica help, by the way), who has already played through the new island twice, tells us that you’ll get to manually drive and land a spaceship, have an encounter with a moon rover, and be able to change your eye color (predicted here) and height from tall and small! There’s a lot to explore, so have fun! 🙂

Lunar Colony Island

Almost Time For Blast Off!

(Oh, the joy of finally beating someone to a post! 😉 )

It’s less than two days away from the launch of Lunar Colony!  This island sounds like it’s going to be pretty cool.  And just cause they’re so nice that way, the Creators wanted to give us a reminder about its launch on the 16th (this Thursday).  As if we could forget.

It’s the final countdown

We are less than two days away from the launch of Lunar Colony! It can’t come soon enough. We think you are really going to like this one.

Lunar Colony will be available this Thursday for Poptropica Members. Don’t forget your space helmet!

CAPTAIN CRAWFISH

Just in case you’ve forgotten, here’s the description from Lunar Colony’s info page:

So, I was looking at some of the pictures on Lunar Colony’s info page, and there was one picture, that when I looked closely at it, had something a little…unusual.

I took a picture and put a red circle around where to look.  You might have to look closely, but see if you can see what I’m talking about.

Did you see it?

That little sign thing that I circled says something like Eye-Color Changing Station.  I’m not sure if that’s exactly what it says, but that’s what it looks like.

So maybe we can change the color of our eyes in this island?  That would be pretty cool.  …Or pretty weird.

What do you think?  Any chance that our Poptropican’s eyes will get some color added to them?  Or do you think that that sign says something else?

Sneak Peeks

The Rabbit and the Spider

Okay, first, the spider. Remember the Art Attack daily pop? Well it turns out that Black Widow IS returning to Poptropica.

Web of Deceit: Now things get interesting. ~ Black Widow

Last week, Dr Hare was revealed to be coming back. Earlier, for fun, I put the pics next to each other, and they actually fit together like a jigsaw puzzle! o.o

See what I mean? What in Poptropica are these two up to? Are there more past villains involved in this dastardly plot? Only time will tell.

BT out!

Astro-Knights Island, Merchandise, Skullduggery Island

Cover art for Poptropica book series

Muddy Axe previously told us about the possibility of more Poptropica books, including a Mad Libs book and Poptropica Lime 1 for ages 6-7. Now we see that there are going to be books based on Astro-Knights and Skullduggery Island, and what’s more, there is cover art for the two! Cool! 😀

Astro-Knights Island (Poptropica) by Tracey West

Skullduggery Island (Poptropica) by Adrianne Ambrose

Both paperbacks are illustrated by MadPark Design Inc., and currently available for pre-order through Barnes & Noble for $5.39 and Amazon for $5.99 (US). They will be released on November 8, 2012.

There’s not much information about the books, but they seem to be storybooks to tell the tale of those particularly long islands. 😛

There is also going to be an activity book called Pencil Warrior with no image available yet and the description is:

The Poptropica Field Guide to Creativity

This amazing full-color celebration of Poptropica-inspired creativity traverses the most popular Islands of Poptropica. Features 16 pages of adventure-filled activities and plenty of amazing extras.

EDIT: You can count on books than just these, because Muddy Axe tells us that Cryptids Island (Poptropica) by Max Brallier and Lunar Colony by Patrick Kinney will see the light of day in 2013. Notice that the authors’ names indicate that they are related to Poptropica publishers Jess Brallier and Jeff Kinney!

What do you think of these books and the other ones mentioned before? Think you’ll be buying any, maybe? 🙂

p.s. I may be less active now that school has started, but will still be around.
