Sneak Peeks, Steamworks Island

What is Multi Tool?

We call this Multi Tool.

What is Multi Tool?*

Multi Tool is big.
Multi Tool is beautiful.
Multi Tool goes anywhere and lasts all day.
There’s no right way and no wrong way.
It’s crazy powerful.
It’s magic.
You already know how to use it.
It has multiple soup can-opening features, and counting.
All the world’s soup cans in your hands.
Gears. Claws. More functions than you’ll need in a lifetime.
It’s already a revolution.
And it’s only just begun.

*Also see iPad.

This week the Poptropica Creators are introducing a new island filled with cool gadgets (possibly called Steamworks Island?). Today’s update brings color to the Multi Tool we saw yesterday.

New island sneak peek week: The Multi Tool

Yesterday, we introduced a handy tool that you will need for the next Poptropica island, called the “Multi Tool.” I can imagine that you may be thinking, “Multi Tool?…Hmmm…It must be used for multiple tasks.”

It’s true that this device will do more than open a can of soup.

This is not the only tool you will need to make your way through the next Poptropica adventure. Tomorrow we will show you another inventory item that you are certain to have a blast using.

What do you think? What will Multi Tool do? What is this mysterious object’s secret? Is it a chainsaw that kills? o_0

PHB Sneak Peeks, Sneak Peeks, Steamworks Island

Uhhh, where’s the on switch?

The creators have confirmed a new island, but not its name. Some kind of machinery island, Mad Machine? Silly Structure? Extra-strange tool island?? O___O

New island sneak peek week!

Many of you have noticed that there is a new Poptropica island in the works. We’ve decided to share a few sneak peeks of this mysterious, mechanical island.

You’ll need a few gadgets to get past some tricky puzzles and wacky, wild monsters — and I’m not talking about your dad’s pocket knife.

Here are a couple of gizmos that you won’t find in your home toolbox. One of these will help you on your quest to victory, cheering fans, and instant popularity…well, at least victory.

“Multi Tool”? Hmm, what do you think it does?

Come back all week for more sneak peeks. Then, on Friday, we’ll announce the name of the new island. You’ll get it here first, so keep those eyeballs glued to the blog for more exciting peeks.

[CODERKID:

Hello guuuyyys! 😀 I’m here to save the Creators the trouble of posting on Friday…the new island is called “Steamworks”. Pretty spiffy name, eh?

The tools (yes I do notice that the font is blue) seem to be normal tools melded all together. -_o The multi tool looks like a drill, scissors and hair cutting thingamajigs. Number 2 seems to be a wrench, pressure meter and funnel on a wheel. O_o I have no idea what on earth, poptropica or pewter moon these tools will do, or why you will need them.

*Flies into clouds with BOLD BLUE ITALIC font, which is cooler than walking :D*

Advertisements

Despicable Medusa

There’s two new advertisement buildings on Poptropica:

Despicable Me

Despicable Me:
In this new Despicable Me ad about the upcoming movie, your task is to find the 10 missiles, defeat Vector’s plane by shooting at it while avoiding its green shrink ray, and then you win the prizes.

Once that’s done, you’ll receive your very own ‘Despicable Me Minion Outfit’ and ‘Shrink Ray Gun’!

~COMMERCIAL BREAK!~

  • Check out Loud Shark’s Poptropica blog – just click here. The images from this PHB post are from his website! Give it a visit! (:
  • For something random, click here! It’s an item SWF from the official Poptropica website of an unreleased thing – something that looks like a cross between a wristwatch and paint palette.

Medusa's evil eyes :O

Percy Jackson:
There’s also an ad for the PJ series, where you’ll meet Percy, Medusa, and Zeus in Poptropica!

  • Tip: It would be easier to do this ad quest on Super Power Island, if you are able to fly. This will make it easier to escape Medusa’s stone glare.
  • At the end, you’ll earn “Zeus’ Armor” and “Zeus’ Lightning Bolt”! Great for adventuring on Mythology Island!
Hey big boy! 😀
Skullduggery Island

That Extra Oomph

Hijuyo: Hewwo and welcome to the last installment of “Behind the Scenes of Skullduggery Island: The Phoenix Warbird.” Originally we were going to have a sailing expert – Captain Crawfish – tell us all about the process of designing the famous ship, but as you’ve probably noticed he’s not up for the task.
Cpt Crawfish: Juyo? I’m hearing you, but I can’t see a thing!
Hijuyo: Um, that’s because your eyeballs were eaten.
Cpt Crawfish: Well, this is gonna be the last epic Skullduggery Island informative session – so be nice. Let ME read MY OWN POST for once.
Hijuyo: I did let you read out “Skullduggery in Sketch” for the PHB, you know. You should be glad someone’s here to take over for you in case of emergencies – like being crowded, ripped, and eaten alive.
Cpt Crawfish: EXACTLY! I’M DYING HERE! D: AND YOU’RE NOT GOING TO HELP? =.= This is the best episode! There’s a video and everything! And I’m not able to read it out! AUGH!
Hijuyo: …whatever.

Behind the scenes of Skullduggery Island: The Phoenix Warbird, part five

With the colors and the scale of the Phoenix Warbird in place, it’s time for a few final tweaks to the design. For that extra “oomph,” the creators give the ship a set of fierce-looking talons.

And it’s done! Starting with one basic idea, the creators sketch out different possibilities, choose a direction, and then refine and improve the design until the final version you see here.

Here’s how it looks next to an actual Poptropican.

Huge, isn’t it?

And here’s a look at the Phoenix Warbird when it takes to the seas.

Pirates of Skullduggery Island, tremble in fear!

Quite a journey from concept to reality, huh? How far we’ve come:

Of course, seeing the Phoenix Warbird in pictures is one thing. Taking the helm of this mighty vessel is quite another.

Have you earned enough doubloons in Skullduggery Island to buy the Phoenix Warbird? If not, what are you waiting for? Play Skullduggery Island now!

Hijuyo: And that’s the end of “Behind the Scenes of Skullduggery Island”!
Cpt Crawfish: ZOMG NO WAI!!11!!1! YOU DIDN’T LET ME POST? WAHHHH… ;(
Hijuyo: OHMAI. Your pegleg was ripped away and your eyesight is already gone! What was I doing wasting my time reading your scripts?
Cpt Crawfish: EXACTLY! You were supposed to help meh!
Hijuyo: No… I should’ve been nomming on you – on the best part – the FILLET!
Cpt Crawfish: o_________0

(And with that, Hijuyo joins in with the others working on getting Captain Crawfish NOMMED!)

Random nommer: Mmm. That was nommilicious.
Random nommer 2: *burps*
Random nommer 3: Ah. A very satisfying meal indeed. Who do we eat next?
Random nommer 4: Well, as I like to say… there are plenty of fish in the sea! Plenty of people who will want to join the PHB, and then we’ll attack! WE’LL EAT THEM ALL!!

(The nommers cheer loudly and everyone looks at YOU.)

o_O

Bonus Items

Radiation… I honestly prefer fireworks

Something new to “radiate” attention.

Stay tuned next week for a new item in the Poptropica store!
Well well well Creators… Somebody’s being quite vague…
I think it may be some sort of evil plot, to take over all poptropicans minds, but that’s just me. 😉
I guess it could be a special card, where you go and use it, and it blows up the screen possibly… That’s what I like about science! And now I leave you guys with a quote from my favorite show. “If it doesn’t work, blow it up.” ~The Mythbusters cast and possibly crew.
EDIT: According to my local radio station, today is the 1st year anniversarry of Michael Jackson’s death.
We pay our respects to the king of pop.

Ja mata! (you figure out what language that is!)
