Poptropica’s Drama: Tragic or Comic ๐Ÿ‘„

Hey Poptropicans! In this update, we’ve got a fun lore video, update on a Poptropica revival, and even something to get your creative juices flowing. ๐Ÿฅค Let’s pop right into it! ๐Ÿ’ฅ

YouTuber Tahliaisnotcool from New Zealand recently dropped an hour-long video exploring Poptropica’s rise and fall, complete with a murder board with screenshots from the game and articles from her research. And it already has 122K+ views within its first week up! Watch below:

Mild language warning for some parts. On the whole, though, very entertaining!

Tahlia cites quite a bit from the PHB as well, and we’re happy to have played our part in it! ๐Ÿ’™ Just to clarify a few of the items she brings up: Slanted Fish (that’s me) did go by Scary Tomato in the early days of the PHB, and our Discord server does have a nameโ€”the PHC! Also, she doesn’t mention Poptropica.love, another Poptropica revitalization project, probably because it literally launched a day after her video.

Which brings us to… the latest from browser-based Poptropica.love! Its developer No-Departure242 has shared another update on Reddit to announce that multiplayer is now in betaโ€”including common rooms, friends, and Realms. Plus, the project is no longer relying on Flashpoint’s code, and photos have been added into the game as well. Let’s go! โšก๏ธ

Last but not least, we’ve stumbled across a Poptropica Comic Studio where you can create your own Poptropica-based comic strips using various stickers, templates, and text of your choosing. Though the options for visuals are a bit limited, your creativity doesn’t have to be! โœจ

Note: The Poptropica Comic Studio is not affiliated with the PHB, and we are not responsible for its contents, including user-generated comics.

Keep on poppin’ on!

Play Classic Poptropica in your web browser with Poptropica.love ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

Hey Poptropicans! For years, Poptropica in its full former glory has mainly been accessible only through a download via Flashpoint, the Flash game preservation project. But now we’ve got a new player…

Enter the website www.Poptropica.love, which brings the classic game to your computer web browserโ€”no download required! ๐Ÿ’–

Poptropica.love was built by No-Departure242, who shared on Reddit that it was ported from Flashpoint’s Poptropica, with some help from AI for building the online account system. The whole project is still in beta, and players are welcome to make accounts, test things out, and share any found bugs and feedback to [email protected] so it can continue to improve. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฆบ

So far, the game includes most of the old classic islands from both the AS2 and AS3 eras, plus beloved features such as the Costumizer and a previous iteration of the Store (with more free shop items to come). ๐Ÿ‘•

It doesn’t work on mobile yet, but you can create an account to play on multiple devices without losing progress. There’s a bit of lag on Home Island, but other islands seem to run normally. ๐Ÿ๏ธ

The developer is currently working on more features to come, including multiplayer common rooms and designing their own island. We’re looking forward to seeing what’s next for this exciting new site! โœจ
