On the move once more

It’s been quite some time since Dr. Hare posted another “Where in The World is Dr. Hare” post. But here we go again! The evil minded rabbit is visitng more and more places. This time he’s visited another one. Here’s a photo of his visit:

Hmmm…I wonder where this picture was taken. It’s obviously by a lake or ocean or large body of water. There three giant structures in the backround that appear to be supporting an object of some kind. Strange, very strange. Take your guesses now! The answer will shortly be posted on the PCB.

Edit: It turns out that the evil bunny was at Singapore’s Marina Bay! Here’s another picture. Yay Asia! ^^

Adventures go global

A day or so ago Dr. Hare posted a new post with another sneak peek picture to hint where he was. The hint was a kangaroo crossing… surely this could only be at one place where kangaroos are located – Australia! Here was the image posted some days ago:

Well, looks pretty happy, eh? Might as well give up on his evil schemes and enjoy himself around the world xD. Now’s it’s revealed that the evil genius was indeed in…drumroll…you guessed it…The North Pole…no? Just kidding, everyone. He was really in Bells Beach in Australia as revealed in today’s image.

And there he is clutching a leaf in his hand. I wonder how he got all over these places…and so fast…maybe the creators had people in different regions buy a toy and take a picture? Hmm. It is to be wondered.

Anyways, thinking about tracking all Dr. Hare’s travels? Well, the creators released a nifty tool that is to be updated on a basis. Here’s the map they gave for us. You can scroll around the map by moving your cursor. There will be carrot markings for each area he went. You can then click on the markings and location name to bring up a picture he took for that PCB post and also some blogging words from the evil bunny.

It can be viewed on this SWF link:

Pretty cool, huh? Well, EP out!

Around the world…to the National Parks :D

Hello, everyone. How’s everyone doing? Fine? Chilling…not for long, though. Sorry to be the bearer of dreadful news, but sch0ol starts in one week for most of us :(.

Anyways, a few days ago Dr. Hare went around the world again…and where this time? Hmmm, the first post had me stumped. They gave us clues to where it might’ve been. The clues were that it was in a forest like region, was a National Park, and was along the east coast of the United States. Sure, that gives us information, but there are probably over a dozen of east coast National Parks.

Where in the World is Dr. Hare?

Dr. Hare is at it again! Where do you think he is this time?

I guessed at first it was going to be a big one like Everglades, but nope. The answer is in the newest post!

Soooo, everyone take your last gueses…drumroll pleeeeaaaassseee. The answer has been revealed in a new post and it issss…Arcadia National Park!

The newest image shows the evil mastermind at the same park in the state of Maine…hiding in a tree and “planning another evil scheme” according to the PCB. Another evil scheme? Gee wiz, what do you get in stealing the world’s carrot supplies, Dr. Hare? They’ll go bad in a few weeks if you don’t eat like a million carrots by then…then another  evil scheme? What are you up to now? Trying to find out a way to genetically create all trees into growing carrots? Creepy.

Reality is a lovely place… but Poptropica is a better one.

Following into the travels of Dr. Hare, last week we saw him posed in front of yet another ferris wheel. As our blog readers correctly predicted, he was touring London, England, with landmarks like the London Eye and Big Ben behind him! And now, here’s another shot at the same location, but with a different angle, so you get a glimpse of St. Paul’s Cathedral as well.

It’s cool how Poptropica is showing how they can extend to be bigger than just something on your computer screen – the things you can learn from Poptropica are part of the real world too! And, you can apply real world things to Poptropica…

That’s Hermione, Harry Potter, and Ron in Poptropica form! As you may know, the PHB has its own Costumes page, a collection of images of creative costumes you can put on. Someone recently submitted this great picture, and if you’re interested in more, click here.

Also, two Poptropica Creators’ names were recently discovered and added to our database. They are Nate Tufts, Illustrator/Designer working for Poptropica (see his blog) and Nasan Hardcastle, creates and designs artwork for Poptropica.com (see his blog).

On a final note, as I mentioned before, I may have less time to blog here since high school has started, so although you may see less frequent posts from me, I hope the rest of the authors will continue to bring you guys the news in a timely and awesome fashion. I will still be around to work behind the scenes to ensure the blog is updated well. 🙂

Bonus Items, Mythology Island, Reality TV Island

Only for the most daring/bored of all.

It’s no April Fool’s joke. Poptropica Members will have Early Access to Mythology Island beginning this Thursday, April 1!
(information from the Poptropica Facebook page!)

And as stated on its information page, Mythology Island will be open to all on April 29, 2010. Almost a month away. x_x

Today, Dr. Hare showed us on the Creators’ Blog that your Island Medallion card for Reality TV Island actually keeps track of the amount of seasons you have dominated in on the island! Unless you beat Hippie Harry to fame and fortune, in which case I despise you.

Exhibit A: A common result of extreme boredness.

Dr. Hare continues to mock us in his post by challenging us to beat his high score of a whopping five seasons won. He then questions us how many times we have completed Reality TV Island, the latest island brought to you by the creators. He also probably should’ve asked us how many times we have been way too busy to even play Reality TV Island. 🙂

As the lazy boy I am, I am a 1-time winner. Tell us: how many times have you completed Reality TV Island? Haven’t even completed one season? What are you doing then? Head out to that island and compete! With guide in hand, you’re sure to overtake the bunny himself.
