Need some Poptropica fashion advice? Here are a few pointers to keep in mind:
- ๐ Mix and match different costume parts together! That’s the beauty of it โ you get to be original. The store is your go-to spot for the latest costumes, but you can also find lots of options with the Costumizer tool on PoptropiCon Island. Be careful not to mismatch, though: those goofy glasses probably aren’t going to go well with that fancy dress.
- ๐ Have a color scheme. Put colors that look good together, but don’t overdo it – you don’t need to have all the colors of the rainbow on you, or the colors may clash. One or two shades, possibly mixed in with some neutral colors (white, black, browns, grays), can pull off a pretty neat outfit.
- ๐จ๐ผโ๐ค Skin: Regular human skin tones are your safest bet, unless you’re going for a bizarre Halloween costume or something. You can change your skin tone (and more) with Modify A Poptropican (MAP), a glitching tool.
- ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ Hair: You probably don’t want yucky shades like greenish-brown, but whatever you pick, be sure it matches your outfit. Natural colors work best, but sometimes blue or purple hair can do the trick as well. To change hair color, visit 24 Carrot’s “Carrot King Diner” and mix a drink until you get the desired color. When you drink it, your hair color will change!
- ๐งข Accessorize. There are tons of accessories available within costumes. Don’t be afraid to try something on โ if it doesn’t work out, you can just close the Costumizer window without saving. Add that belt, sword on the side, or those side bangs to complete the outfit you’re working on. Look around and you might just find something that matches. Be inspired by the above costumes, the ideas contained in the comments below, and what your friends are wearing โ but make a look that’s uniquely yours, too.

There’s a trick out there known as the ASG (Avatar Studio Glitch) that people use to obtain rare, un-Costumizable costumes. With the PHB’s Avatar Studio Gift, you’ll find lots of them, and we’re always adding more. Check it out!

Look #3: Uncool Nerd
~You’ll need a simple ponytail, which can be found in multiplayer rooms or on a fair few costumes in the Store like the Biker costume. Nerds don’t have time to do their hair in fancy hairstyles. Dye it brown using the Ctrl(cmd on Macs)+Shift+H cheat, the colorizer or the 24 Carrot Island Diner. No bangs on this fair lady!
~Find the backpack and shirt on the explorer woman on Shark Tooth Island. Grab a pair of glasses from Twisted Thicket Island (on the woman outside the forest) and then head to Red Dragon Island. Grab the jacket, pants and belt from the woman you see on Main Street.
~Now for the final touches. The mouth is costumizable from the first police officer you see on Zomberry Island. Then go to Night Watch Island and grab the freckles from the red-haired girl in line.
Voila! You have the Uncool Nerd!

Look #4: Sweet as Sugar
~The main hairpiece can be found in the line on Night Watch Island. Those cute braids are found on the red-haired girl in line. You can get some great bangs from the yellow girl outside Apollo’s temple on Mythology Island. Go to 24 Carrot Island and dye it a pale blonde.
~For the outfit, you can first head to Mythology Island and go all the way right. There you’ll see a girl in orange/yellow. Snitch her long skirt, then head back to Night Watch Island. The girl behind the old lady has some really good pieces for this costume. Grab her stripy t-shirt and necklace.
~Time for the final touches! Those skin tone lips are found back on Mythology Island, on the girl with the fruit basket on her head. Grab a pale or regular complexion.
Complete Costume:
As you may be able to tell by now, I love making costumes on Poptropica. On every island I win, I end up making tons of costumes mixing and matching from all the natives. If you want me to, I’ll make a costume you want then give you my username so you can friend me and costumize the costume.

Slanted Fish: Well, Poptropica did have a Fionna & Cake ad (with costumes for Fionna & Marshall Lee), but that’s gone now.
You can also get a braid for Katniss from the poptropican running the trading post on Dragon’s Cove. It also has no hairtie.
I wear that braid all the time, so if you don’t feel like doing that, friend me (Jessy333) and costumize me.

Whoa, um, I am deeply sorry- I didn’t think anything my character looks, it’ll show the same clothing O_0 I didn’t plan this, and just took a look at these posts, can this be fixed? I didn’t realize that no matter the different web pages/ sites, all the avatar studios I am posting would look the same as my character now. I am once again sorry, and am disappointed that I went from place to place to poptropica, attempting to post different costumes without knowing they’d end up the same T^T” oh, and if this isn’t fixed, is there a way to delete my own posts?
The way the Avatar Studio works is that it shows the current costume of whatever the character of the username you entered is wearing. If you’d like to show different costumes, you can create different accounts for them so the Avatar Studio links will be different, or you could take a screenshot and post a link so people can see it. More details are in the “Do you have a costume?” section of this page. I’ve deleted the extra comments for you. ๐

Everyone’s been trying to costumize me if they seem to be looking for a really cool costume. Mine is hard to do because I mostly costumized my outfits from people in multiplayer rooms.
The hair band is from the girl inside the manhole on Main Street in Early Poptropica.
The shirt is actually the Psychedelic shirt from the Store.
The hair was costumized from another person.
The hair color is a bright cyan blue, made with the Colorizer.
The vest was copied from another person, but looks like it came from Spy Island. If you can’t find it, add me as a friend. Hint: username is comoparkes.
The belt also looks like it came from Spy Island, but if it takes forever to find the belt, the next best thing is to use the belt from the Biker Costume.
The goggles are from the Hypnotic Costume, found on the center window and fourth floor of the green building to the left of the man selling pigment balloons in Poptropica Towers on Early Poptropica Island.
The wings are costumized from another person, but I had it for more than 6 months.
The mouth came from a glitch that doesn’t work anymore, but add me if you need to. Rarely, but possible, you can find that mouth in multiplayer rooms, but usually you have to come in just after I come out and someone costumized my mouth.(if you chew Popgum and then if you stop chewing, you will get Afro Guy’s mouth instead.)
The mouth is talkative, which is the same type of mouth you see when people are talking.
The pants are just plain black, which extends to the ankles. This is the easiest to find.
The other things are: I have white skin, and you have to buy Phantom in the Store if you don’t have it. Use the Phantom and vanish to the most visible option, and Athena’s spear is costumized from YOU, Slanted Fish. My Poptropican’s name is Fierce Wing, I belong to the Wildfire Tribe, and I usually appear weekends 7:00 PM, Central Time Zone in the Soda Pop Shop in Early Poptropica. Please note that I am a girl, and boys will sometimes be laughed at. I am unable to send a picture, but go to the Poptropica Avatar Studio and type comoparkes in the username box and I will be there! Make sure to type that in exactly.

Ghost Costume:
For the hair, use the Hypnotizer cheat. Go to the Carrot King Diner in 24 Carrot to change the color to icy blue.
The bangs and skin came from Vampire Girl 3 in the store.
The dress came from the Zombifier costume from completeing the Haunted House card.
Use any black leggings.
The lips came from a woman in Astro Knights.
Get the Phantom costume from the store and use that to let the frights begin.
I have a glitch. When you are on big nate island dive down and get the lobster trap then quickly press ctrl+shift+s then when you swim up you’ll be wearing a trapped lobster costume. This worked for me but i think it won’t work for you.
Does anyone know where I might be able to find fangs the size of a normal mouth. The fangs that are part of the costumes in the shop are either too large or they have lips. The fangs are frowning also. They are also not the vampire fangs from the vampires in the ghoul party.

How to get the costume:
1. It only works for girls. (Sorry dudes.) It’s weird, because Jeff’s a boy xD
2. Go to Shrinkray Island (You do not have to complete the island), and go right until you reach the school. Enter it, and proceed to the right, until you go to the science fair. Enter. Go to the girl with the Bellybutton project, and customize her grin. (Click the blue shirt, then click her)
3. Press ctrl+shift+s, until you get white skin.
4. Go to the shop, and type ‘skullbook’ in the promo code box. You will get a pirate costume. Equip the sword.
5. If you do not have the costumes ‘vampire girl 3’ or ‘rock star 2’, buy them. If you do, put on the black eyeliner and bangs from the ‘vampire girl 3’, and change the back hair color to black on the ‘rock star 2’ and wear it.
6. IF you go to some common rooms, you can find the rest of the items.
7. Last but not least, go to Avatar Studio. Type in fsdummy, and restart poptropica. You are now a boy. (The only difference is that you don’t have eyelashes, and everything in the shop that were accessible to girls are now changed to boy items.)

Here’s how to get it.
To get the hair and glasses, go to Ghost Story island and find the woman in the inn.
To get the dress, find a Poptropican with a black skirt then go to Night watch island in the carnival costumes store in the mall.
