20 rarest items, part 4

Ep back again for a new post! It hasn’t been done in 12 hours, so I’m glad to say I’m straight on it! We’re coming up with part 4 of the epic new series of rare items on Poptropica, although in my own opinion they don’t seem so rare. Rare determines how many are left, but not entirely the difficulty to obtain them :/. So up next, we’re coming up with part 4: all gold items! You may have been familiar with gold items throughout the Poptropica Store. Gold ninjas, gold robin hoods, gold aliens…ftw, and special followers. But these were limited edition items, and one was members only! Most of them can no longer be obtained.

We’re continuing our countdown of the 20 rarest items in Poptropica.

8. Woodstock Follower

This special item was available to Poptropica Members during the launch of Great Pumpkin Island. Snoopy’s pal, Woodstock, will follow you around anywhere you go!

7. Robin Hood Limited Edition

You can still find the standard-issue Robin Hood costume in the Poptropica store, but this limited edition was available for only a short time back in 2009.

6. Renegade Robot Limited Edition

Like the limited edition Robin Hood costume, the Renegade Robot was available in the Poptropica Store for one short week back in August of 2009.

5. Light Ninja

The most sought-after costume from those heady days of summer 2009, the Light Ninja lives on in the hearts and minds of Poptropicans everywhere.

There we have it! The woodstock ~~stalker~~ follower is a members only, the light ninja was limited edition, and renegade robot alien, brainish…dude…yeah…as well as Robin Hood can no longer be obtained. Nice marketing, creators ;). Way to get us to buy something, trying to startle us with the fact that it will no longer be up for future uses, really, good marketing. All of these except the Woodstock follower cannot be obtained. Isn’t it kind of weird having someone follow you the whole time…watching your every move? Even in bed when your Poptropican sleeps? 0.0. They were limited edition, that’s that. Thanks for reading this new post!

On a quick note: I shall be heading back to my China for relative visiting in one and a quarter weeks! I will give you more detail as to how long my stay will be. It won’t be too long, btw. Probaly a week or so…they make good Chao Mien :)…(noodles). And the bad thing is that the police will probaly beat the living heck out of you if you insult “our glorius communist leaders.” -_-…

Flamin’Skulls 1st Anniversary and a Half Celebration!

All the band members were there. Tons of fans came and we had a phenomenal megaparty. We went overtime by double the time originally planned. The FS blog (almost) reached 20,000 visitors. Super Thunder gave the Multiverse room code, then Obiwan organized an attack on the walls and Xarr brought in the penguins. It was a flamin’ hot blast.

More details below, but for now, enjoy the picture.

Thanks to everyone for coming and having a blast with the band! The Skulls – Popular Thunder (who brought in Super Carrot, the ultimate FS Pop account, complete with a torched body), Hijuyo (Silver Rock on Pop), Xarr (and his crates of Mr. Poppins’ penguins!), and ElmoPwns (the newest member!) – are really happy to have so many of you guys to celebrate with.

We want to thank the following for coming: MT, Obiwan2324, Shaggy Tornado, Super Thunder, Deathstalker, Raccoon Sam, Mad Moon, Coolguy123, Squeezy Monster, and anyone else who came to join our massive celebration on the PHC.

We’re continuing our countdown of the 20 rarest Poptropica items.

12. Mech Pilot

For a limited time, Poptropica Members were given this Mech Pilot costume. Anyone can freely costume similar costume parts on Poptropica, but this specific costume is a rare one indeed.

11. Skullduggery Pirate

The Skullduggery Pirate was part of a special two-pack given to Members shortly before the debut of Skullduggery Island. Be on the lookout for two more Skullduggery-themed costumes, Captain Crimson and Captain Cobalt, when you get the Skullduggery Island 3″ figures. Speaking of Skullduggery Island…

10. Skullduggery Medallion

Another challenging Island, Skullduggery has seen fewer completions than most of the other Poptropica adventures. It’s not too hard, though — just keep working your way clockwise from one trading post to the next, and in no time you’ll have enough doubloons to buy the Phoenix Warbird!

9. Paper Kid

To celebrate the release of our Diary of a Wimpy Kid-themed Island, Wimpy Wonderland, all Poptropica Members got the “Paper Kid” costume. Unlike most costume cards, this one doubled as a special power. You can paperize anyone else you see, too!

Also, while looking at this post, I saw something cool! On the sidebar, they featured The Official Guide (Poptropica)!! Looks like it’s going to be the new thing they are selling. The Official Guide (Poptropica) is a book that is going to be sold for $8.90 on Amazon! The Product description says:

Dr. Hare’s impostor revealed!

At last, I have discovered the identity of the counterfeit Dr. Hare. Unfortunately, the truth is worse than I had feared.

Anyone who gets the Dr. Hare 6″ figure will also receive a secret code that will allow them to costumize Dr. Hare for the first time ever. That means that anyone could be disguised as Dr. Hare! There will be Dr. Hares all over Poptropica!

Oh, this won’t do. This won’t do at all.

As explained in elmopwn’s post, these figurines are little toys that come with codes. As you redeem them, prizes come with them– such as the Dr. Hare costume we shall all be using to tear down the real Dr. Hare with.

If you’ve finished reading the day’s blog post on the PHB and want to stay longer, you might find some other Poptropicans online on the PHC! As long as you respect the people and the rules, you’re always welcome. You don’t even have to talk about Poptropica there.

To celebrate the launch of our 20th Island, Shrink Ray Island, we’re counting down the 20 rarest items in Poptropica history.

16. Astro-Knights Medallion

Astro-Knights is one of the toughest Islands we’ve made, so it’s no surprise that not many Poptropicans have this medallion in their inventory. But it’s not out of reach! All you need is a little perseverance.

15. Goofy Glasses

Another treasure hunt item, the goofy glasses were briefly available in the sewers of Super Power Island. But if you missed out then, you can still get them in the eyeglasses shop on Spy Island!

14. Wild West Hero

All Poptropica Members who played the cattle-rustlin’ preview game for Wild West Island were granted this exclusive Wild West Hero outfit. But this wasn’t even the most rare item from that game!

13. Sunglasses

The sunglasses were briefly available on top of Pendulum’s lab on Time Tangled Island. The dark glasses will return, however! Players who get the Spy Island 3″ action figures will receive a code that will allow them to wear a Spy Agent costume that includes these killer shades.To be continued tomorrow!

Chase
