Poptropica Store Surprises! + Heat Maps and Coutdowns!

EDITS HAVE BEEN MADE! SCROLL DOWN! 😀

I had some free time this week, so I thought I would post about the new things that the Creators added in the Poptropica store!  Many things have been added 😀 I’m sure most of you know about the birthday balloon:

Anyone who visits the store can get the Fourth Birthday Balloon for free! Isn’t free awesome? 🙂 Also in celebration of Poptropica’s 4th birthday this September, they added in the last two minigames to hit Poptropica: Shrink Shot (Shrink Ray) and Prepare for Impact (Red Dragon)!

You can add these games to your inventory for free and play whenever you want! 😀 You can get all the previous prizes available! They also included a special treat for all you Members out there (lucky :P): They re-released the Mech Pilot costume (Steamworks) and the Renegade robot for a limited time!

If you missed them before, or if you have just become a member some time ago, you now get another chance to get these Members-only gold cards! 🙂 If you aren’t a member, the Creators are encouraging you to sign up! Well, stay tuned for more Birthday fun coming to Poptropica!

Happy fourth birthday Poptropica! 😀

The Creators also have other updates: a video concerning heat map technology and another countdown timer!

The Creators said that this is a feature they were working on for one of the new islands. Could it be for the E.vile Legen-wait-for-it-dary island? Looks like we have to wait to find out! 🙂

They also put in a  countdown timer for Mystery Train, letting you know the exact moment when your train leaves the station (Get it? 😀 )! It releases in less than a week! Excited, members? 😛 So what’s your departure time?

Happy 4th Birthday to Poptropica!

Guess what? It’s getting close to someone’s special day :D. Especially someone who’s been providing us with quality entertainment and exciting adventures for almost…that’s right, 4 whopping years of fun! Guess who it is? That’s right, happy birthday to Poptropica!

What started out as a small online game advertised on the Funbrain website has now become A GLOBAL phenomenon. Poptropica has really, really, really grown in four years. So far there’s been 21 islands, tons of minigames, HUNDREDS of sweet costumes, lots of gold cards, many new and cool features, and MILLIONS of players worldwide.

To celebrate it, the creators announced on the PCB the 4th B-day and what they’ll be releasing to us to celebrate it!

According to the PCB, all September long Poptropicans will have a chance at winning a special costume! By visting multiplayer rooms, anyone will get a chance of finding a special birthday present. The present is the special “4” balloon that marks Poptropica’s 4th birthday. It’s sort of like the “3” balloon last year. Once you find the 4th balloon, you can pop it to get a special present! The present apparently is a limited edition cake suit. It’s featured in the PCB image above.

Another thing the creators are releasing to us is a members only exclusive item. Yep, members now have a limited edition chance to obtain special gold costumes like the Light Ninja. These were limited edition costumes, previously out of the Poptropica Store. Now members have a chance of obtaining these items for another limited time. If you missed out on your first chance, here’s another try. Each week in September, two of these items will be re-released again.

And lastly, everyone gets a special “4” balloon just by claiming it in the Poptropica Store. These balloons are for everyone, so head on over to the store to get your very own commemorative balloon.

So for everyone on this blog, one word: PARTAYYY! Poptropica’s 4th birthday is looming near, and I’m encouraging all players to celebrate it. 😀

You can visit the official 4th birthday page here: http://www.poptropica.com/birthday/fourth-birthday.html

Advertisements, Membership, Mystery Train Island

It’s elementary, my dear Watson.

Hey guys! 😀 Another weekend to rest up! And another weekend to post about the new item that membership gets you! This is a special costume promoting Mystery Train Island! It’s called the Mystery Train Inspector! Now you can dress up to look like Sherlock Holmes, or something close to it. Credit to HT and SG  for pictures! 😀

"The game is afoot!"
What the costume looks like on a Poptropican.
Its special action!!

The special action of this costume is cool! When you press spacebar, you lift the magnifying glass to your eye! 😀 Looks awesome! Congrats to all you lucky members out there! Remember Mystery Train releases Sept. 9!!

There’s also a new ad in town: Family Game Night ad! It’s a quest building where you get to go in and compete in a game called Connect Four basketball! You have to shoot basketballs into the gameboard so you get four of the same color and win! If you win, you get the Yatzee Bowling card, which is an animation of bowling ball and pins when you use it! BUT THE FUN ISN’T OVER YET! If you go to the far right of the ad, there’s a door, where you have to solve a slide puzzle to gain entrance! When you get the code, enter it in and the door shall be opened! You get to go into the room and get two more prizes: The Hub Outfit and a Sorry Sliders costume!! Thanks to LS for the ad walkthrough!! 😀

And one last thing! PHB reader Aang has found another Poptropica Creator named Nasan Hardcastle! On his LinkedIn Profile (click here or check the comments:   http://www.linkedin.com/pub/nasan-hardcastle/4/ab/3b8 ), it says he is a “Designer and Illustrator for characters, environments, games and toys on Poptropica!” And his profile picture is that of the Wild West villain El Mustachio Grande! What more proof could we need? 😀 IT will be added onto the Creators’ Database when we have time.

Well that’s all for tonight!

Have a great day, stingray! And I’m howling out. AWOOOOOOOOOO!

Around the world…to the National Parks :D

Hello, everyone. How’s everyone doing? Fine? Chilling…not for long, though. Sorry to be the bearer of dreadful news, but sch0ol starts in one week for most of us :(.

Anyways, a few days ago Dr. Hare went around the world again…and where this time? Hmmm, the first post had me stumped. They gave us clues to where it might’ve been. The clues were that it was in a forest like region, was a National Park, and was along the east coast of the United States. Sure, that gives us information, but there are probably over a dozen of east coast National Parks.

Where in the World is Dr. Hare?

Dr. Hare is at it again! Where do you think he is this time?

I guessed at first it was going to be a big one like Everglades, but nope. The answer is in the newest post!

Soooo, everyone take your last gueses…drumroll pleeeeaaaassseee. The answer has been revealed in a new post and it issss…Arcadia National Park!

The newest image shows the evil mastermind at the same park in the state of Maine…hiding in a tree and “planning another evil scheme” according to the PCB. Another evil scheme? Gee wiz, what do you get in stealing the world’s carrot supplies, Dr. Hare? They’ll go bad in a few weeks if you don’t eat like a million carrots by then…then another  evil scheme? What are you up to now? Trying to find out a way to genetically create all trees into growing carrots? Creepy.

New books

Greetings, everyone! It’s EP here with the latest scoop from the PCB. This new post hasn’t been done in a day or two so I guess I’ll try and keep this blog updated. Here we go.

I bet you’re all familiar with the Magic Treehouse themed Red Dragon Island. Well on the main street there you’ll find a Magic Treehouse Store! Yep, one click on one of those virtual books inside the store will bring you to an information page. There’s information on the books on the page as well as a “Buy Now” button.

Well according to the new PCB post, they added two new books to the virtual store. The two are Dogs in The Dead of Night and Dog Heroes. Obviously these books have to do with dogs in Jack and Annie’s new adventures.

Dogs in The Dead of Night apparently has to do with Jack and Annie in the Swiss Alps where they meet monks. They apparently also train a wild young dog named “Barry” and Barry leads them to some mysterious flower that has to do with the story.

Dog Heroes has to do more with the actual facts in Jack and Annie’s stories and has more of an educational purpose. There’s a red mark on the book that says “Fact Tracker”. It mainly gives interesting facts like “Who were the most famous war dog heroes?” or “What breed makes good service dogs?”.

You can click the Buy Now button, and you’ll be redirected to the Amazon.com page to buy any of the books featured in then store.
